Tl* the contact owns a 2007 ford fusion. after the driver buckled the seat belt, the seat belt exploded and locked the driver in the seat. the air bags did not deploy. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was a moisture failure and the seat belt restraint on the driver and passenger sides needed to be repaired. the contact was informed that the air bag warning indicator was supposed to illuminate in order for the failure to occur. the vehicle was repaired. the dealer was not contacted about the failure. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
It has been over a year on the recall for the passenger seat of my vehicle , is there a time frame about when it will be repaired, before something heppen or one of my kids get hurt from the airbag .
The dashboard around airbag portion has come apart and is rising up all the way across the dashboard. passengers' side the seat belt light and seat belt buzzer goes off. have notified ford. no compensation. do not have pictures available, but if needed will email them asap. the consumer stated there were toxic gases leaking from the airbag compartment which tampered with the adhesive on the dashboard. the dashboard began to bubble up around the compartment. the seatbelts would not release. the consumer's grandchild had to wriggle out from under the seat belt. the seatbelt had to be unscrewed from the floor to release the pressure on it. the interior dashboard light, radio, clock, mileage, and cd player would not operate. the engine light illuminated, the driver's seat seams began separating, the brakes stick, the interior door handles broke off, the rearview fell off while driving, and the tires had a constant leak. *js
Tl*the contact owns 2007 ford fusion. the contact stated that when swerving from oncoming traffic the vehicle rolled over and the airbags failed to deploy. the contact mentioned that the seat belt on the rear left hand side failed to lock causing the passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. a police report was filed and minor injuries were sustained to 3 occupants. as a result of the crash, the ejected passenger was paralyzed. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown. the vin number was unavailable.
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 ford fusion. the contact was driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle suddenly swerved into another lane. the brakes locked when pressure was applied and the vehicle began to spin uncontrollably. when the brakes were engaged there was a clicking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. the vehicle would not slow down and accelerated up an embankment and into a dirt mound. the seat belt failed to secure the contact and caused her to forcefully strike the windshield area. the contact sustained eye, neck and back injuries. the air bags failed to deploy during the crash. a police report was filed. the vehicle was severely damaged and towed to a collision center. the failure mileage was 41,096.
The seat belt does not stay snug against the hips due to the lack of a manual adjustment. no mater how many times i try to make it snug, it works its way up toward the belly. it also does not hold me in place in the set during sudden maneuvers as a manually adjustable seat belt buckle would. *tr
