The rear passenger side door lock has malfunctioned. causing door not being able to relock or close. i have 38292 miles on my car that i'm still paying on. i cannot drive my car unsafely with my two grandchildren (who live with me). the door could open at anytime.
On december 12th, 2019, i was involved in a three-car fender bender on fairfax county parkway in virginia. i was traveling in slow-moving traffic at 7:20am, close to reston hospital, when the two cars in front of me slammed on their brakes unexpectedly and i unfortunately could not brake in time to avoid hitting the car in front of me. the car directly in front of me was a toyota suv and had a tow-bar, which took most of the impact of the crash and caused damage to my vehicle. aside from some minor scratches, both of the other cars involved in the accident were fine and the two drivers were able to continue on their ways to work. my car, on the other hand has been declared a total loss by my insurance company as it immediately burst into flames upon impact. as i mentioned above, the traffic was slow-moving so we were not traveling at more than 25-30mph at any time on that stretch as we navigated the traffic. this should have been a very low-impact and minor incident; however, for some unknown and unexplainable reason, the ford focus was on fire before i even knew that i ...
I own a 2013 ford focus that is experiencing door latch failures. i have discovered that their is a recall notice for the ford focus door latches but based the vin for my vehicle my vehicle is apparently not covered. (safety recall 16s30) the vehicle was stationary at the time of the failure of the driver's side rear door latch. the latch opened but then would no longer engage to hold the door closed. i tried to rectify the issue with ford motor company but they just state that my particular vin is not covered.
Bought this vehicle on october 28 2019 and the next day the car stall and was almost hit from behind while carring a patient i was driving to the doctors office on october 29 2019 took car back they said they had fix the issue then the next date it rain it all got wet on the passager side took to dealship they had the care since nov 4 pick up on nov 22 and car still has same issue and it was stationary when getting wet and in motion when it stall and it is a risk because i carry patients in my car every day it my job and dealship has yet to give me paper invoice on repairs done to car and i call them and speak with them they say im going to call you back and they dont its sames ford dealship in kingsville texas and i do have video on the day it was getting wet in side and you can see how the water was dripping
Door latches have failed after being installed do to recall twice in a little over 2 years 3 doors in total have fail two recently ford is refusing to fix somebody going to get killed because of this issue i am a heavy collison tect with close to 59 years experiance they done nothing to resolve this issue

Spring clip broke post recall replacement 2012 ford focus rear driver door. car was stationary when first noticed issue. door will not latch closed nor allow other car doors to be locked. poses safety risk to children in back seat and protection risk to car theft.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford focus. while driving, the front end of the vehicle shook and vibrated before the vehicle suddenly stalled. the contact discovered that the engine mounts failed and caused the engine to fall from the engine compartment. the vehicle was towed to yreka motors ford (1545 s. main st, yreka, ca), but the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 36,000.
2013 ford focus jerks while accelerating, was told recall was for extended warranty only via kindle ford. also the trunk no longer opens, but beeps when car is on saying the trunk is open. was told this was a recall in 2017 that was fixed before we purchased the vehicle, but now it's up to us to pay for it.
Complaints: power train (currently-5th clutch asy having serviced), body: locks and hatch donot work most of the time..passenger door knob just fell off in passenger hand, excessive fuel consumption, car jerks and stalls, false digital readings on dash. some lights stay on continuously. had to have to tire pressure monitoring sensor replaced 2 yrs of having the vehicle.all supporting documents available upon request. all documents have vin and my name on them, so cant upload them. multiple dates of service, but am listing the last dos. my vehicle has been at the ford dealership for 3 wks so far. awaiting list for a loaner car is 3 wks out. i am without transportation still. currant dos is an approximate date, as it is still with the ford mechanic. i bought this vehicle bc i inherited raising 2 grandchildren, and needed a economical and reliable vehicle to transport them to and from dr appts, school, preschool ect, but this vehicle is anything but reliable. it's been an expensive nightmare. my extended warrant already paid for this fix last time, and now i've been told that my policy maximum may have been reached, thus making me responsible for ...
