My car does not accelerate on the road when my foot is pressing down on gas pedal but rpm increases resulting in stalling in motion like conditions. it is very scary and frustrating for me and my occupants that ride with me to work.
Over the past year my ford focus 2015 has begun suffering a terrible "shuddering" when going from stop to moving (specifically the first shift range of 15-20mph), and esp. when going from stop to moving on a turn (stopping at a stop sign then turning for example) , pushing more gas doesn't seem to help accelerate any faster. the clutch has been replaced before but the issue just keeps getting worse, and it really sucks.
I have this error code from a obd-2 code reader from autozone. dealership didn't give me any feesback on the check engine issue when i had it in for a fuel tank issue. error code is 'u0109 lost communication with fuel pump control module (fpcm)' the car sat in the driveway all summer long with a full fuel tank of gasoline. the check engine light for that issue came on shortly after i started driving the ford focus again. read more at: https://www.obd-codes.com/u0109 copyright obd-codes.com
I think i have a faulty fuel modulator related to the recall of the bosch fuel pump systems that's affected the 2014 ford focus and the 2015 vw's. my car won't start turn over immediately after full refill of gas tank. i've noticed that gas actually spills out under the car after filling up all the way. ocassionally my car engine will stop entirely in the middle of the road! it's happened twice now when shifting into 1st after being stopped at a light. i took it to the dealership and they confirmed it's the fuel modulator and that it needs to be replaced. this has got to be the same issue as the other recalled units. thank you!
The car has a known recall about the fuel system the car will randomly just shut off without warning ford said you must keep the car on a half tank of gas at all times.they don't have the parts but my car is getting so bad very very bad
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford focus. while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the contact depressed the brake pedal and restarted the vehicle. the vehicle was driven for approximately a mile and a half before it stalled again. the vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled at least fifteen times during the past month. the contact stated that the vehicle was repaired by an independent mechanic twice for the stalling failure and the fuel control module was replaced. the vehicle was not repaired for the recent failure. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 43,643.
Gas gadget (and miles) will read 1/2 tank (200 or so mile) and with no warnings stall (turn off) even once putting gas in vehicle hard to get it started!also air bag light is on (most the time) engine light is on. the rear passenger door has to be "slammed" or closed hard in order to latch. i bought this car as first owner in 2015! very disappointed! i have had this vehicle turn off on me at least 5 times even with my disable son with me, i could have been hit and we could've been hurt or worse!
The fuel gauge reads wrong by atleast an 1/8 of a tank and and when it says you have 30 miles till empty you might get 10 miles before you run out of gas.it will not give you any warning when it runs out of gas it will start to suppder and then will not start until you put more gas in.and you can smell gas inside the car.it happens while driving or just idoling.
While attempting to refuel the vehicle at a service station, i noticed gas leaking onto the pavement coming from underniegh the right rear wheel well. as i further investigated the problem i could see gas draining down from the fuel pipe that leads into the gas tank. i didn't want to try and start the vehicle in fear that the gas might reach the hot exhaust system and catch on fire. i had it towed to the nearest ford dealership who confirmed that the gas fueler pipe had indeed broke and repaired it under warranty.
When i press on the gas to accelerate after stopping at a stop sign or red light, (after i have driven the car a small distance) the car jerks and jumps and does not want to accelerate. i am not sure if this is coming from the transmission or not, but it worries me because i do not want to be stuck in the middle of an intersection because my car will not go. it has been happening a lot, but i have not had it in to a repair shop yet and i am wondering if it has anything to do with the bad transmissions that were put into the ford focuses. this happens weather i am driving on a city street or on a highway and it is very concerning. i got a letter in the mail from ford back in december 2018 that stated my car was having issues with certain things and that they would be sending out a recall in the first quarter of 2019, but i never received any correspondence from ford after that. this issue has been happening for a long time.
My transmission does not shift properly ans everyone that i know that has this same type of vehicle is having the same problem. when you take off the trans doesnt shift right.
The brake pedal depressed all the way to the floor but deceleration was significantly delayed. the steering shuddered and the car jerked from side to side. front end shuddered repeatedly.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford focus. while the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the contact noticed that the fuel gauge fluctuated and the readings were inconclusive. the contact stated that the battery, check engine, and oil warning indicators illuminated. the contact also stated that the vehicle stalled on several occasions since may of 2017. in addition, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of acceleration. furthermore, upon filling the fuel tank, the engine began to shake/tremble and the vehicle stalled while stationary. the contact restarted the vehicle several times and applied pressure to the accelerator pedal in an attempt to correct the failure. an independent mechanic removed the fuel tank to assess the vehicle, but was unable to diagnose the cause of the failures. waldorf ford (2440 crain highway, waldorf, maryland 20601, (301) 843-2400) was made aware of nhtsa campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline). the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failures. the failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

My car stalls shakes and studders when i accelerate, even after i turn the traction control off it continues ,i've nearly been rear ended plenty of times. i don't feel safe and either does my passengers as and i'm sure this jerking as and tire spinning will cause other problems.
Issues with the transmission slipping, engine hesitating and not accelerating immediately. has been to the dealer twice and both time said nothing is wrong. same issues that is part of the class action lawsuit. occurs when accelerating from a stop, every time.
When i push on gas it take a while to speed up. also it idols sometimes. take awhile to gear up to speed. sounds like it is dragging
I rented a vehicle from enterprise rent-a-car. i did not receive the vehicle i reserved and paid for. three out of the four vehicles set aside for uber drivers were badly stained on the inside and not washed on the outside. the only vehicle option left for me to drive for uber was a 2015 ford focus, which was stained on the inside and not washed on the outside. i tried to ask for a refund and was told i had already paid for the rental and was locked into the agreement as an uber driver. i asked for a better vehicle and was told they did not have any at the time for me to trade the last vehicle out for. basically, i was stuck with the vehicle. the car begins to jerk as i accelerate or drive. i informed the rental car branch, rental car customer service, and the rental car corporate office. none of these departments/divisions of enterprise rent-a-car seem to be concerned regarding the condition of the car nor how it functions. my uber passengers (esp. male passengers) have brought it to my attention that it feels like the transmission is slipping and that i need to get it fixed. i have escalated the matter to uber so they are aware that enterprise is not maintaining the cars designated for uber drivers nor meeting their standards. i have contacted enterprise on numerous occasions to be put in another car or get my money back and they will not take ownership for their wrongdoing nor rectify the situation. the condition of the car and how it runs has affected my uber driver ratings, interfered with me getting ride request, and prohibited me from meeting my uber driver ride quota for the week. i took the car to an uber vehicle inspection location where the car failed inspection. uber was not happy with enterprise providing me with an unsafe vehicle.
