Problems with 2013 Ford Focus VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

On average, the 2013 Ford Focus starts to “feel” problems with the VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL and its various aspects after 28 940 miles.

Recently reported VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL problems on 2013 Ford Focus

Vehicle has known issues thru ford. just had clutch assembly replaced was driving car monday it started shifting erratically my granddaughter was in car it lurched shudders. at ford dealer said it is some sort of transmission fork 1900.00 to fix vehicle has recalls but ford won't honor the transmission by certain dealers

Driving on the interstate and rpm's shot up to 5 and i had no power and when i stop and then try to take off the car jerks and theres no power, car also shuts off unexpectedly which is a major safety concern because car is on interstate daily. check engine light also came on.

I purchased my brand new 2013 ford focus, from the dealer in may of 2013. i took it back a week later because it was "clunky" when accelerating. the ford dealership told me "the car just needs to learn how you drive, we will reset the computer". since then i have had it "reset" 4 times and am on my 3rd clutch repair. last week while braking my car decided to accelerate instead. this is the 4th time in a year, one resulting in a bumper on bumper accident with minimal damage. i dont feel safe driving my car, i commute two hours a day. ford should be ashamed of themselves! if the i had been told back in 2013 when i purchased that there was an issue i would have traded that car the first week.

My 2013 ford focus has an issue with a stuttering/shuddering type feeling. when i am stopped and then begin to try and accelerate is when the problem occurs. this has been very dangerous at times when i am entering traffic after being stopped. my car does not get to proper speed quickly enough.

along with the myriad of ford dps6 transmission problems, and repairs over the past 4 years, i alsoy had an event that could have caused a fatality directly related to the performance of the power train and engine. while attempting to make a light acceleration for a city green traffic signal for a left 90 degree turn the car unilaterally increased the speed and rpm's. the car was moving so fast i nearly hit a tree on the opposite side of the intersection at a high rate of speed. i had to repeatedly hit the gas peddle with my foot to stop the acceleration, while maintaining directional control of the vehicle. i am still waiting for ford to contact me about the other fuel recall issue related to this vehicle so they can address this issue as well.

Vehicle has repeatedly had transmission issues coming in a variety of forms. at times i will be unable to accelerate, with my pedal to the floor, while the car seems to 'coast' and with no explanation. other times i have had the vehicle's alert lights come on with a warning the transmission has overheated and to pull over 'immediately.' this is difficult to do when on a 55 mph zone or on the highway; the inability to accelerate has led to multiple incidences pulling into traffic or attempting to merge where vehicles have had to swerve or stop because i am in their way. in daily driving, there is a constant shudder that makes me believe the vehicle will fail at any moment. this vehicle was the daily driver of my wife and we were forced to lease another vehicle because she did not feel safe. it has been in for a multitude of repairs and requires more. however, no dealership is able to schedule an appointment or provide a loaner, even though it is supposed to be a covered repair. i exceeded my warranty to have it entirely covered simply because no dealer could schedule me. the problems began in 2013 and have persisted since, to this date. the most recent safety-related matter occurred on a winding two lane road a month ago where there was nowhere to pull over safely and the car threatened to shut down due to the transmission overheating

Stalling

When i purchased my car used february 2017 at 70,000 miles, i was given a carfax stating the only issue was with the transmission clutch. less than a month in, i seemed to be losing power so i took it to town & country ford in madison, tn. it was repaired under the aforementioned recall issue and i drove in relative satisfaction for almost an entire year. then i took it into two rivers ford (mt. juliet) for the same issue. the service guy was very amicable and even arranged for me to have a loaner car while they had mine. the same issue was diagnosed, but with an additional fix. i paid $125 for some part not covered by the recall warranty because i was told that if it were to malfunction again, it may not be covered. the third time i took it in (back to mt juliet) they looked at it, determined it was the same issue, and said i'd have to pay out of pocket because the recall warranty was only good for 100,000 miles. i couldn't afford $2300 quite to fix it so i returned the loaner and claimed my vehicle, but not without making it abundantly clear that wasn't satisfied with how the situation was handled.

Car is driven in moderate raining conditions in va. suddenly while maneuvering in a walmart parking lot a fault 'engine faul service car now' showed up on the dashboard screen. didn't feel anything different at first and continued driving back home. about 2 miles later in the middle of route 28 the car lost acceleration and completely stalled in the middle of the highway. was able to maneuver it on the shoulder before car completely stopped. restarted engine but same error showed up and car only moved a meter before stalling again. had it towed to ford chantilly va. dealer called a few days later and stated it's a 800usd repair on a electrical harness issue. it is the same electrical harness recall that ford released but only for the ford focus st models and not se. this is the 2nd time this year that i've brought the car back to the dealer for major performance issues. the first one is covered by the transmission pcm recall. for a 2013 model that is barely being used (car has only 35k mileage) this is unaccepatable. btw car also has an issue on the driver side power window (doesn't go down) but i have not requested them to fix them yet.

2013 ford focus, was bought new from dealership and has had clutch issues from beginning. the car stutters on acceleration, shifts hard, and occasionally there is a delay when the gas pedal is pressed. a recall was performed on this car and the clutch was replaced, but still had same issue. this car has been seen 8 times for this issue, and has never been resolved. the clutch that was replaced during the recall has failed the performance test, but the dealership will not replace due to expired warranty. recently another recall was issued on this vehicle due to a stuck cannister purge valve. this causes the engine to stall and the fuel meter to read incorrectly. this caused me to run out of gas on the highway when my gas meter reported i still had half a tank of fuel. on 11/29/18, the dealership performed the recall and believing my fuel meter to now be accurate, i ran out of gas again at a quarter tank full. my check engine light is back on and it is again throwing a code for the purge valve. this car has several safety issues which ford dealer has been unable and unwilling to remedy.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. the contact purchased the vehicle in new jersey from a used dealer. the contact was not informed that there was an extended warranty from may 10, 2013 or up to 60,000 miles that had expired. the contact stated that the engine stalled several times, there was a drastic reduction in speed, and the vehicle accelerated intermittently. on october 22, 2018, nets campaign number: (fuel system, gasoline) was issued. an independent mechanic stated that the vehicle was included in an extended warranty, but had not provided any specific guidelines to repair the vehicle. stevens jersey city ford (740 nj-440, jersey city, nj 07305, (201) 432-7272) and the manufacturer were made aware of the failure. the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in any warranties. the approximate failure mileage was 10,000. vin tool confirms parts not available.

Starting february 2018 the car was jerking and it had turned off on me while on the highway 3 times. i have changed oxygen sensors and purge valve (i have receipts) and it had initially helped. as of june 2, 2018, it is jerking and turning off again and throwing check engine code p0805 and p080a. the system from car notified me that the transmission was hot and needed to be turned off. from june 2, 2018 i have not driven the car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. while driving various speeds, the transmission slipped gears and the vehicle accelerated. the service transmission warning indicator illuminated. the contact had to apply the brakes in order to reduce the speed of the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to the dealer tinpusher, llc (801 s state st unit 10 11, bunnell, fl 32110) where it was diagnosed that the transmission clutch needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 119,000.

Car has already shut down while driving twice ,a year and a half ago. i took it topatrick st. ford, it shut down again in parking lot, had to push it into garage. they supposedly fixed a sensor recall. did nothing to the unbelievable shaking and shuttering recall. 3 weeks ago when i left work, i noticed instrument panel was black, said no gas, 0 mph, and so forth. blinkers wouldn't work on inside but the driver behind me could see me signaling from behind me. pulled into convenient store , turned car off, went inside, came back and car wouldn't start at all. had it towed to same berte wolfe ford , they told me it was electrical wiring issues and it would be 380$ , they called back next day and said 500$ more. i told him to stop and i would pay tho 380$ and have it looked at somewhere else but if i did and other place said it was ford's accountability i would be back. sales manager j.c. assured me he would reimburse me everything if that was the case. i took it to copleys in chas wv and jay russ hooked up his computer and said , looks like ford owes you. they should of fixed the problem last time it was with them and he couldn't work on it because it was ford parts and should been fixed free. i need my car fixed before someone gets injured. they have been aware of this and keep denying it. it's most complained car of that yr. multiple fsa's and electrical recall along with shutter lawsuit. new cars on list include my year , 6 speed auto transmission and michigan assembly plant. just from me mentioning those things to j.c. , he took my bill from 380$ to 240$ . seemed fishy to me , that's why i wanted a second opinion and took it elsewhere and i found out pretty much what i expected. car was 13000$ paid off and has been nothing but a shuttering possible deathtrap on wheels. i'm just fortunate it hasn't shutdown and lost steering going on a busy interstate.ref: tsb16-0044

I was driving home on the i- 5 san diego, ca and my car completely lost power. the check engine light started flashing. after i turned the car off for about five minutes, i drove it once again and it seemed to be normal and the check engine light was no longer flashing. then, after a week it happened again, the car died on the highway.

As i was waiting for light to turn green at a busy intersection my car stalls. it was acting as if i had put my car in park and accelerate the gas. on my dash board i notice the symbol as if my traction was on. i turned my car off and tries to restart it. it will not turn over. not even making a sound. mind you i am at a very busy intersection. this is so dangerous especially if this would have happened on the freeway.

Car cannot accelerate or decelerate properly. the car has had three clutches and two transmission control modules, and still exhibits the same dangerous characteristics. it hesitates on take off, will accelerate in the wrong direction (go forward in reverse and vice versa) . the rpms will randomly shoot up to 4 or 5k while driving, or you can loose speed without warning. i have had the power to the car fail while driving with no warning on a city street. it is especially bad on hills and at stop signs/lights. it shakes and shudders at low speeds. has been to dealer almost a dozen times, all under "warranty" for a flawed transmission design.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. while driving unknown speeds, the transmission slipped and skipped without warning. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer (autonation ford wolfchase, 7625 stage rd, memphis, tn 38133) where it was diagnosed that the digital sensor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. on september 30, 2017, while driving 25 mph, the transmission slipped gears and the vehicle accelerated and crashed into the median. the vehicle was towed to a tow yard. the occupant sustained cut and bruises to the arms, an ankle sprain, and back pain. medical attention was received. the two air bags deployed on the driver's side. a police report was filed. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 76,000.

The ford focus hatchback that i purchased from auffenberg dealer group, 1708 new car drive, o'fallon , illinois on december 13, 2016 constantly jerks when i accelerate. the car does not accelerate properly, as if it is not getting enough gas. (strangely, i did not sense this while test driving the vehicle. during the test drive on december 13, 2016, i did mention to the sales person that i heard a sound coming from the car that sparked my concern but was told he heard nothing. there's something wrong with the reaction of the wheels on the car when acceleration is slowed. my greatest concern is the car acts as if it will stop in traffic. this can prove dangerous to me and other motorists. no one mentioned or discussed with me on december 13, 2016 these problems although i've since seen a paper lacking my signature concerning the same. the car indicate a danger while in motion to me and other motorists.

I was literally leaving the ford dealership for "shut down isssues and shuddering issues" when they supposedly couldn't "verify the problem" i was driving home on a five lane highway and my car completely lost power in the middle of an intersection going 70mph and was stuck in the middle of the freeway until a tow truck came and towed my car back to the dealership where it is currently at right now. this is my 5th attempt for them to fix it. *tr

Side door latching (safety recall) still not repaired. i have been to the dealer for two times already since oct 2016 but they only say that parts are not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. while driving various speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate and crashed into a pole. a police report was not filed and there were no injuries. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage and vin were unknown.

When accelerating from first to second gear the car will shudder like it wants to stall. it seems to happen the most when there is any kind of extra weight in the car, when accelerating from a stop, and when going uphill. it will be fine for a while then all of a sudden it will do this every time i try to accelerate. the car only has 52,000 miles on it and definitely shouldn't have this kind of a problem

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. while the vehicle was in motion, it shuttered extensively. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate and slowed down with a drastic reduction in speed numerous times without warning. capital ford (4900 capital blvd, raleigh, nc 27616, 919-878-4884, (877) 659-2496) stated that it may take a month and a week before the remedy and part would become available. the diagnosis was unavailable. the dealer advised the contact to either repair the vehicle or trade it in because they had limited technicians available. the dealer stated that they may service the vehicle with a warranty extension. the manufacturer issued 35 tsbs on the power train and 2 tsbs on the vehicle speed control. the vehicle was excluded from nhtsa campaign number: 13v523000 (power train), which affected the 2012 to 2016 models. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and indicated for the dealer to diagnose and repair the vehicle. the failure mileage was not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. whenever the acclerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle jerked and made a ticking noise before accelerating. the vehicle was previously included in a recall that caused a similar failure. the vehicle received the recall repair; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the nhtsa campaign number was unknown. the approximate failure mileage was 61,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. upon refueling the vehicle, when making a stop or a turn, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. the dealer was notified of the failure several times and were unable to find a signal or dtc to replicate and diagnose the failure. the contact was to check with the manufacturer to determine if they could provide a repair solution to the dealer. the approximate failure mileage was 27,000.

May 0f 2015 on a highway car lost power even though i did not take my foot off accelerator then it bucked back and forth as i made my way to breakdown lane took it to ford service and no incident was reported in computer. car had given me the message "engine fault service now!". this has since happened in sept., october 2 times, december and now january 2016. ford has refused any action or compensation. dangerous situation as car slows right down and could cause bad accident. i have 2 little children. dealership states now that its the transmission control module. i have researched ford focus and it appears there a hundreds if not thousands or problems with this vehicle and it should be recalled.

Lost power after stopping at a stop sign. could not start the car again after shutting it off. after several attempts and some waiting, it restarted, got around the corner and died again. after having it towed to ford and being told nothing was wrong with it, drove 2 hours away and on the return trip the next day, lost power on an on ramp. again, could not start the car after shutting it off. eventually got started and barely made my way to the next (mostly unused) exit.

Car makes noise. car sluggish when i give gasoline. went to dealer about 5 times before dealer decided i had transmission problem. dealer told me would only repair transmission. waited for part. went back to dealer to say car almost stalled. was applying brakes at the time on highway. out of concern for condition car was in, had car on cruise control to limit sudden application of gas or brake. was on road for about 20 minutes on highway. i worried car would stall and cause accident. dealer later said machine review of my car says it was drivable. advised dealer if it almost stalls, it may stall. dealer said: i will have to wait for part. it has been over 2 months, part not at dealer. latest is that ford corporation advised me part was sent 8 days ago. dealer does not have part. last 3 days dealer does not call back after i left messages to tell me status of part. car is unsafe to drive, need to drive long distance, but i do not want to risk it. waited for part since 12/6/2015. dangerous highway incident was 1/1/2016

Car violently stutters and shakes on acceleration from a stop or at low speeds. no acceleration when going up a hill. car was serviced, but the problem wasn't fixed. parts are on back order. while driving the car died and a light saying there was a transmission failure came on. the entire tcm was replaced after towing into the dealer. shaking only got worse. now the rpms will jump at highway speeds even in cruise control. parts still on back order. ford says that this is "normal" for this car and there is no real fix. the only fix is to constantly have it serviced but even that doesn't fix the problem.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. on several occasions, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. the contact stated that the vehicle vibrated abnormally and the passenger side motor mount was replaced several months ago, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to butch ostalet ford lincoln (9274 us 49, gulfport, ms 39503, (228) 863-5525) where it was diagnosed that the clutch was slipping. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer stated that the warranty period had expired and no additional assistance would be provided. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

The vehicle has stalled multiple times. it has happens when the clutch is depressed. the rpms drop down below 500 and sometimes the engine stalls. sometimes the engine will just waiver at low rpms and regain idle.the car has also stalled at high speed on the freeway, with traffic backed up, i depressed the clutch, and the engine stalled.

I just purchased a 2013 ford focus three days ago. today as i was driving, i noticed that when i come to complete stop while driving, the transmission feels like it jerks and the acceleration feels slow. after doing research i seen thousands of buyers of the same vehicle complaining about the same problems i am. i really need some help as to what direction to go in. i am a single mother of a 7 year old daughter and i used all my money to purchase a reliable car and now i am dealing with these issues. the car is fairly new so it should be safe to say that it should not be having defective transmission problems, this is very dangerous. unfortunately ford isn't pressing the issue towards helping buyers with these issues. please help and press a serious issue with recalling this vehicle. i represent many people who are upset after buying this vehicle. thank you. *tr

This is the second time this issue has occurred. last october was the first. the engine light came on and the car rpm gauge raced but there was no acceleration. the car jerks hard. first time mechanic (don chalmers capitol ford) told me that these issues were normal, that all of these cars have shuttering issues, which to me was a frightening statement. they addressed a14m01 transmission clutch shudder and input shaft seal warrant (fsa). the total bill was $1,377.88. this time, i was told i would be responsible for any work and diagnostics. i stated that i experienced the same exact shuttering, shifting issues and noises as the first time and was told it could be anything. i am scared to drive this car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine stalled without warning. the contact also mentioned that the gear failed to reverse the vehicle intermittently. the contact also stated that while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated. the failures was persistent. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified about the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

When turning car sometimes hesitates when gas is pushed, could cause accident when there is oncoming traffic. automatic transmission (or dry clutch) also grinds loudly often, and car jerks and shudders when shifting. been to dealer twice for repair, transmission replaced once. still messed up and dangerous. *tr

Trouble shifting between 1st and 2nd gears, when turning a corner won't stay in gear, feels rough and studders between 1st and 2nd gears. have been told by a ford technician to drive the car "like i was an 18 year old" or told transmission is working as should be.

Was in the far left hand lane on i-15 in the mira loma, ca area going about 10-15 mph in stop and go traffic, as traffic started to clear i pressed the accelerator to increase speed and the car would not go any faster than 20 mph. i pulled off to the left hand shoulder and had the car towed to the nearest ford dealer. this is the second time this has happened. in addition, the car constantly "shudders" at low speeds to which ford has advised me is a design flaw in the automatic transmission, clutch assembly and that nothing can be done about it. *tr

Car's transmission shutters and jolts. hesitates to accelerate. dangerous when merging onto highway or making a turn. sent it to ford to fix as per their fsa on the transmission seal. both dealerships said there was nothing wrong with it, but it still hesitates, shutters, shakes and jolts. this is a safety concern. it needs to be brought up to ford.

When i first got the car in september 2013, the car would jerk and shake when pulling off from a stop and was also very loud. i took it to be serviced and they told me that was normal. i took it back a few months later because i didn't believe that was normal. they fixed it. but now it's starting to shake again. in june 2014 the engine light started coming o for a few days. i took it to ford and they claim they fixed the problem. the light came back on in july, they claimed there was nothing wrong with it. the light was back on in september, they claimed yet again, nothing was wrong with it. i took it took a small transmission shop, they read my codes and immediately found a problem, claiming it was a transmission issue. a few days later, the light was back on. each time the engine light comes on, it would stall and immediately slow down right in the middle of traffic. each time ford claimed nothing was wrong with the vehicle, the engine light would be on for two days. each time i took my vehicle to ford, they would keep it 2-5 days... i couldn't get a rental car half of the time because they wouldn't actually do their job until the last day and then tell me that nothing's wrong with my car. we all know, your warranty company needs to know the problem before authorizing a rental vehicle. this last time in october, they claim to have fixed it. they claim that a sensor had to be replaced. i will never buy another ford vehicle. i cannot wait to get rid of this car! my car is still shaky. it makes a kind of loud noise now as well. *tr

Just like 100s of others, car stutters and hesitates. took to ford dealer in macon, ga. and problem continues and we all wonder why there is no recall. does no one care about safety and doing what is right???????????????????? *tr

I've reported this issue several times. it is going to cause an accident!! when stopped at a stop light, or stop sign, the car wants to keep moving, even though heavy brake pressure is being applied. when i am at a stop light and the light turns green to move forward, the car hesitates to move, causing the vehicles behind me to blow their horn! there is nothing i can do!! this car is going to cause myself or other owners an accident with no doubt in my mind! the hesitation to take off when i'm wanting to get out of the way of oncoming traffic, scares me to death!!! something needs to be done before an innocent life or lives are lost!!! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. while driving 30 mph, the accelerator pedal was applied, but the vehicle failed to respond without warning. additionally, the vehicle hesitated, jerked, and shook. the vehicle was taken to the local dealer (coconut point ford, 22400 s tamiami trl, estero, fl 33928) where it was diagnosed that the transmission, clutch, and control module needed to be repaired. additionally, a software reflash was needed. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified and referred the contact back to the local dealer. the contact was informed of the buy back program. the failure mileage was approximately 24,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. while driving at low speeds uphill or on an incline, the transmission hesitated as if the vehicle would stall. the vehicle was included in a manufacturer's recall related to the failure; however, the recall part was not available. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was not available.

My ford focus shudders when accelerating and lurch forward without warning when i'm slowing down or accelerating. i have had it repaired once and need to go back again. how many times do i have to go without a car because the dealership once again has my car in for repairs due to a manufacturer transmission defect. also, what premature internal wear is this all causing? will i need to replace parts before they would normally need replacing or fixing?! i'm worried the car will breakdown or there will be a crash where someone gets seriously hurt. it has been brought to my attention that ford knew about the defect and concealed the information and there are numerous law suits out there for this particular issue. i really don't feel safe driving the car anymore. i can't remember the specific date of the first incident but i can find out from the dealership if necessary. *tr

I purchased my vehicle in sept 2013 brand new with 23 miles on it. i have no medication done to my car, and for the past few months i've noticed a small miss every once and a while. this problem started getting worse at times my car would accelerate without me pushing the throttle. on 21 june 2014 the problem got much worse and started to stall when i am in neutral, and the throttle is all over the place. the car is currently at the ford dealership, this problem is all over the internet, with quite of few 2013 ford focuses effected this is a problem that need to be raised. it is a major safety concern that if left untreated could result in someone losing their life. *tr

The engine and transmission stutter when taking off.

Since i bought the car is been having a lot of issues with changing gears,i called and ford said it was normal.but i had an incident it was very scary every time you are in traffic and the car comes to a complete stop, if you try to accelerate the car it goes hard and fast i almost crashed the person right in front of me.the other incident i was in a parking lot and had the car on reverse and the car actually went forward it was very scary i went only and see many customers complaining about similar issues i just don't understand why they are taking so long to issue a recall on this models is very dangerous they need to avoid any further incidents i don't feel safe in this car and i don't want to put someone else in danger to for something that could be avoided. i really pray and hope that they do something about it now these cars need to be off the street now. *js

As i was waiting a traffic light my engine revs dropped so low the engine quietly died. when i went to accelerate from the light i realized the car had stalled and had to restart the car. it only happened once more in the next month and a half, then happened three times yesterday. the last time the car stalled i was getting ready to make a left turn through a traffic light during the rush hour commute home. the car did start up again, but it struggled to turn back on and some dash lights flashed up me (i believe the cel flashed on.) i was stuck in the middle of an intersection during rush hour for approximately 5 seconds with a dead car. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford focus. the contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the engine sensor light illuminated and the vehicle suddenly stalled. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the technician diagnosed that the throttle body was faulty and needed to be replaced. after the repairs were completed, the contact attempted to drive away but the vehicle stalled again. the vehicle was towed back to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure and no problem was found. the manufacturer was notified of the failure but no resolution was offered. the failure mileage was 31,000.
