Complaint our 2011 ford f150 had an involuntary airbag deploy on the passenger side of the vehicle. after further review from the ford dealer they maintain that they do not know what the cause is. currently ford is reviewing however, will not respond to when the evaluation will take place or how long the evaluation will take and that ford council is "reviewing" however, they will not tell us when we can expect a response or remedy if at all. additionally, the vehicle will not start and ford dealer and ford corporate are telling us, thought the vehicle does have a short in the electrical system and there are melted wires that could have caught fire had we not stopped the vehicle, they are not sure the premature airbag deployment and the short circuit of the wiring are related. though the incident happened at the same time the ford dealer maintains that they are not convinced that it failures are related. we were driving down the highway out of state from where we live and the dealer was over hundred miles from the occurrence and it has now been 7 days at the ...

I just bought a used 2008 ford f150....had it one week and now the airbag light comes on and off every day. took it to five start ford and the service advisor told me there is no recall on this problem. i cannot afford to pay to have this fixed so will just have to drive it like it is and take my chances. the truck has 47k on it *kb

I received a recall notice (11s18) from ford motor company for air bag deployment issues that could cause injury to driver. i scheduled appointment for this repair and dropped 2006 ford f150 at the dealer on scheduled date. the truck repair couldn't be performed because ford motor company did not supply the parts. i have a hard time getting the truck to the dealer for the day as it is my only transportation as i work 20 miles away from home. ford motor company should have supplied this part prior to the scheduled date provided to me. i think ford motor company owes me some time and transportation now to get this problem fixed or take the piece of you know what back. i have not had a good to say the least experience with this ford truck and i am not the only one that feels the way i do about ford.and the problems they are putting on the road and to the customers. *tr

I own a 2004 ford f-150 truck. 3 weeks ago, i received a recall notice #11s18 from ford motor co,explaining that a defect with the wiring harness could cause the driver's side airbag to spontaneous inflate while driving. i called the dealer, sheehy ford of warrenton, va. to schedule service to address the hazard, but they said ford "had underestimated demand on the recall" and they didn't have "the neccessary parts" to fix my vehicle, and to call back "in a couple of days." that's been their response now for 3 weeks. the letter from ford stresses the potential danger of my vehicle's defect, but the dealer is suggesting ford sent out letters and alerted people to the problem without producing enough replacement parts to fix it. the situation is not being handled properly. 3 weeks after receiving a recall letter, my dealer has yet to act, and nothing has been done to address the problem. *tr
