My 2016 ford f150 with engine block heater caught fire today 14 february 2020 at 11:12 am. it was moving and caught fire when i parked the truck
I recently purchased this vehicle used less than a week ago. i have only driven it for about 75 miles. while driving down a busy street at 45 miles an hour the truck down shifted to first gear and simultaneously the speedometer stopped working. i kept control of the vehicle but if a vehicle would have been following closely it is possible if not likely to have rear ended me. i checked the vin and it states no open recalls. evidently the vehicle was serviced for one of the past recalls which clearly describes this same event as an issue. i will contact the dealership grey daniels ford in brandon ms where it was purchased for inspection.
Cruise control shuts off during operation. intermittently will not turn on. analog speedometer will indicate speeds in excess of 40mph slower than real speed. stuck at 40mph when comes to complete stop.
Engine accelerates by itself when i turn it on or if i'm at a red light or as soon as i put it in drive
Unexpectedly downshifting into first gear while in motion, speed ometer and mileage goes to zero, rpms starts to run high, and the tool light on the dash board comes on, in city streets and on highway driving. i have to stop and shut down the vehicle and wait a few minutes. when i start up the vehicle and put it in drive gear the transmission jerks.
The truck was set on cruise control when i accelerated to pass a moving vehicle on a freeway. the truck would not stop accelerating when i removed my foot from the gas pedal; i had to break hard to control the speed. as soon as i removed my foot from the break, the car engine revved up again and quickly accelerated from 70 to 96 mph even though i was not touching the gas pedal. when i stopped the vehicle and put the truck in park, the engine continued to idle at a high speed. the diagnostic reader produced the error code "p068a - ecm/pcm power relay de-energized performance - too early". i took the truck to the dealership and they were able to reproduce the problem. to fix the issue, a new battery was installed.
Vehicle will down shift randomly and still haven't heard back from ford about a remedy it's an open recall
The speedometer dropped to zero while traveling 50 mph and the truck downshifted to 1st gear causing the tires to squeal, fishtail, and the rpm's redlined.i was almost rear ended. this has happened several times in the past couple weeks.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. while driving 75 mph in fog, the contact attempted to pass a tractor trailer. the vehicle hesitated, failed to accelerate, and decelerated to 60 mph. in addition, the check engine warning indicator illuminated, the rpms fluctuated between 2000-4000, and the gear shifted from fourth to sixth gear. the local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the failure mileage was 51,000.
