Took my car in for service and the dealership advised that all my lug nuts needed to be replaced because they were swollen and were very difficult to remove. the service adviser at the dealership said that this is a common occurrence. i asked that all 24 lug nuts be returned. when they were returned the service tech who worked on my truck also said that the lug nuts were a poor design.

I started my truck for work and turn on rear defroster and the rear window shattered on the drivers side also two weeks ago my tire almost fell off after 3 lug nuts broke m and 1 was missing

The factory lug wrench provided with the vehicle does not fit the factory lug nuts on the wheels. this makes it impossible to change a flat tire without roadside assistance or having to purchase a separate lug wrench and hammer.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. while driving 65 mph, the vehicle shifted into first gear. the wheels locked, and the abs engaged. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer (lake view ford, 12381 conneaut lake rd, conneaut lake, pa 16316), but the failure could not be duplicated. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the issue and opened case number: cas-14072276. the contact was informed that the local dealer could use their pas to assist with repair fees, but no further assistance was provided. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Trying to replace tires on this vehicle. ford manufactured truck with p235/75/r17 tires, and this is on door plate. no one will sell this size tire for this truck which has towing package, except ford. the only size anyone will sell is p265/60/r18 or p275/55/r20. one exception: tire rack will sell p255/65/17 if rims are in good condition. two ford dealership service departments even had problems. ford maintains that it is factory equipment and therefore is correct for the truck. i believe an error may have been made at the factory. i need new tires soon and i cannot get ford to even agree to the p255 size tire. i am concerned that these tires are not safe for towing for this vehicle. i would like definitive information from a non ford source. i also do not understand why no one will sell me the factory size tires for this truck, except ford, of course. help would be appreciated.

Lug nuts on vehicle expand split and cannot be removed from wheel. various mechanics at costco and ford dealerships state that this is a known problem. the replacement of the lug nuts cost $165.00 for to replace on the four tires. after replacing the lug nuts by an authorized ford dealer i was told this could happen again. the problem was discovered when i tried to rotate the tires. when i paid for the replacement and aske3d for the old parts i was told they had already been disposed of.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. the contact was driving 70 mph when the vehicle started to jerk violently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who re-balanced the tires as a temporary fix. the remedy failed to repair the problem. the vehicle was then taken to a local mechanic who advised that the wheels could possibly have been defective. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and the current mileage was 11,991.

Steering wheel shakes real bad on stopping the harder the stop the worse it shakes this truck has 16000 miles on it now and the problem seems to have started after the 1st service and tire rotation (about 8500 miles) although it did not start immediately after but rather seemed to get worse over time from that point i believe that it is warped brake rotors possibly from cheap or defective oem parts the truck has never been off road or abused just daily drive to from work 19 miles each way. *tr
