Interior lights do not light up on opening the door. additionally, upon starting the engine, the electrical panel blinks, fizzles, demands reset, which doesn't reset, and eventually corrects itself sometimes after 15 minutes of blinking. additionally, the high beams implement and then you cannot make the high beams turn off. may all be related but, seems like 3 separate issues, all seem to be related to the electrical panel. blinking begins while stationary upon starting truck and continues while in motion, indicates problem with everything electrical including speedometer and states auto locks fail, along with blinking failure of all systems stating reset but pushing reset does not appear to fix anything.....only time fixes it.

Takata recall. for three years of electrical issues, beeping electrical dash panel and lights in truck hardly ever work. the trucks dependability at moment isn't great due to these issues. can't afford a new truck at time being .. this truck transports my toddlers around. this typically happens when turning on car and opening doors we never see lights on. it does happen also when driving at random times. not sure if it has anything to do with stopping or turning. will happen at any rate of speed.

Smart junction box failed. causing interior, dash and back lights not to light and including the horn not to work. when trying to replace the fuse it would blow the fuse and smoke. it is in the shop now to have the smart junction box replaced. fuses started blowing. at first it was the radio and the fuse was replaced then the others started to blow.

Ford f-150 fx4 140,000.0 miles. brake light has been on for several years starting around 2010 with 76,000.0 miles. the brakes were replaced and flushed multiple times since the problem started. replaced brake cable e-brake switch etc... everything points to the cluster and there are multiple websites the verify the same exact problem with the brake light beginning from 2004-2010. in some states this is an indpectable item adding additional and mandatory repairs to be made. the cluster repair part cost anywhere from $400.00-$600.00 and with labor could run well over $1000.00 pending on the model of the f-150. my bottom line is that this issue has gone without a recall from ford or the nhtsa.

Was traveling back from declo idaho from my fathers passing away ,headed for boise idaho at 11:00 pm, just passed jerome about two miles west the headlights and all other lights, interior and exterior went out at 75 mph on the freeway , in the vehicle i had my son 8 years old , my wife 40 years old , my mother 65 years old, and myself 44 years old we could have been killed by a merging or passing semi, but i quickly switched the headlight switch from auto to headlamp and the lights came back on, so i switched back to auto and we traveled 8 miles and the lights went out again , so ,i repeated the same thing again by turning the switch back to headlamp, and the lights once again came back on. then, i switched it back to auto again and they stayed on for about 8 to 10 miles and went out again . i switched them back and left the switch on headlamp and continued our trip home from declo no more problems with switch on headlamp mod. also, i had fog lamps on this entire time which entailed pulling the headlight switch out to engage the fog lamps. then a while later like a week i went to work at the airport at night graves . i got to work shut down the vehicle and put the keys on the floor as per pad to open vehicle, locked vehicle by pad and entered the building, about an hour or so later received a call from horizon employee that there was a vehicle with its lights on in the parking lot which was my vehicle. i returned to the vehicle and turned the headlamp switch from auto to headlamp and the lights went out when i locked the vehicle this time , and the same scenario happened a couple more times . i returned with the vehicle to lithia ford of boise, and they held the vehicle over night and could not duplicate the problem , they have done this a couple times ,and damaged the dashboard. *ak

All ford light trucks, suvs, and cars manufactured since 1987 all the way until 2006 need to have the headlights adjusted. i have been driving for 24 years and i have seen these vehicles switch from high to low beams and the lights are still too bright. this is dangerous because it blinds incoming traffic drivers. this is also true when ford products are driven behind other vehicle. this is far too dangerous and the problem needs to be investigated. *nm

The front turn signals on many new cars are not visible from a cross street at all in the sun , the far signal is not visible because it is so far back it should be called a side marker light. get them back up front where they are useful !! also the driving lights that are now are not dims , but are being used as such. not so many years ago , you would have been stopped for driving with auxiliary lights on!!*jb

Design flaw of headligts on 2006 ford pickup trucks and 2006 dodge pickup trucks--too much stray light blinding on-coming traffic. *nm
