The frame is rusted through.
My truck is making a chain slapping noise only when i first start it after it sits for several hrs. it sounds like their is slack in the timing chain. i know that the chain tensioners fail on this model. please help as i love my truck and i don't wanna loose it. because it only happens when i start the vehicle and then immediately goes away, it was stationary when it started the noise. i'm just afraid that if it keeps on slapping, it will damage the plastic runners and possibly have a chain come off while it's in motion.
I was pulling in my driveway i back out to back in back in to unload my fourwheeler an the truck wouldn't move, i tapped the fuel a couple times an sound like the transmission went out, i just bought the truck in february
Takata recall. for three years of electrical issues, beeping electrical dash panel and lights in truck hardly ever work. the trucks dependability at moment isn't great due to these issues. can't afford a new truck at time being .. this truck transports my toddlers around. this typically happens when turning on car and opening doors we never see lights on. it does happen also when driving at random times. not sure if it has anything to do with stopping or turning. will happen at any rate of speed.
Pulling up to a stop sign and the truck accelerated on its own. applied brake and placed in neutral. engine revved then acceleration stopped for a few seconds then engine revved and pegged the rpm gauge. had to turn truck off to get acceleration to stop.
The frame is rusted to the point that i've had to have a shop weld steel sections around the frame. bought the truck and kept miles off of it because i planned to retire and keep the truck for quite sometime retired now for a year and i'm being told i'll have to junk the truck in a year or so. i have a truck with low miles and can't use it. thanks ford motor company!!!!
Last week truck suddenly became very hard to turn going around corners. steering wheel locked up and i almost went over an embankment. hit or miss so i never know when it will go out. thankfully did not have my 2 young children! a week later (11/29/15), truck suddenly starts to violently shake if i go over 50 mph! scared the dickens out of me! hoping to limp it to a dealership and trade it in. not safe for me to drive. i have put 20k miles on it in 2 years and has been regularly serviced. what gives?!?

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford f-150. the contact received a recall notice for the brake boost vacuum hose and took the vehicle in for repairs. a few days later, he noticed that the rear bumper was hanging down slightly. after further inspection, he also noticed that the rear quarter panel on the passenger side was dented. he called the dealer and they stated that the damage must have been done after the repairs were made. the manufacturer stated that each dealer was responsible for damages done at the time of repair and advised him to speak with the dealer for compensation. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 18,950 and current mileage was 19,000. updated 09/15/08 *bf updated 09/18/08. *jb
I have a 2006 ford f-150 that has paint peeling off the front cap just below the grill. what really concerns me is that i work for a large company that has hundreds of ford vehicles and most of the 2004, 2005, & 2006 models are peeling as well. what is ford going to do about this.. i find this very un-acceptable.. *jb
