Two mechanics and one autobody technician inspected the truck and reported that the chassis is heavily corroded throughout for the vehicle's age and is not safe for towing. one mechanic reported that the rear end of the truck would require over $1,000 of welded steel reinforcements to make truck towe worthy. also gas tank can fell due to the tank holder streeps are attached to the corroted chassis.
After hitting bumps in the highway the truck starts to wobble uncontrollably and the only way to get it back is to slow down to 30mph and then the wobble will stop. we have replaced the track bar, stabilizer, brakes and rosters, new tires, and balances.
Took vehicle in for engine repair. technician discovered both front coil springs broken. almost new tires worn bald on the inner edge. online research indicates this has been a major common problem on the 04-08 f-150, with no relief from ford.
