I'm getting cel error code p0016. there is a rattling noise on startup and sometimes during highway driving everyday. my explorer sport has 65,340 miles on it, w ay to soon for a timing chain. the dealer stated i probably have timing chain stretch and there no tsb to resolved the issue in my truck even though i have the same ecoboost engine as the f150 that the tsb 17-0026 does apply to. why not the ford explorer that has same exact engine as f150 with the same problem? why was the ford explorer ecoboost left out of the tsb? there's an issue with the engine not model of truck. i'm hopefully looking for ford to honer the tsb for my vehicle that has the same engine defect

On 09/11/2019, at approximately 6pm, we were traveling north on wv sr2 north approximately 2.5 to 3.0 miles north of the sr2 i-77 interchange. 2017 ford explorer was stopped, waiting on opposing traffic to clear, in order to make a left hand turn into the parking lot of church. vehicle was rear-ended by a dodge dakota pickup truck impacting slightly off center towards the driver side of the vehicle. there were 4 occupants of the explorer. the driver was a 39 year old male. the front passenger was a 36 year old female. in the second row were the other 2 passengers. on the drivers side was a 4 year old female, forward facing in a graco extend2fit car seat. the passenger side was occupied by a 7 year old male in an evenflo booster seat. all passengers were wearing appropriate restraining devices. all passengers were shaken up, with external injuries to both drivers side occupants. the proximate cause of the injuries was due to failure of the driver's seat. the seat base experienced a failure causing the seat back to fall back onto the 2nd row passenger, striking the passenger, and the headrest bent and partially detached. prior to ...
Vehicle was involved in a 2 vehicle accident. explorer was rear ended by a vehicle (dodge dakota pickup truck) traveling approximately 55 mph while explorer was at a stop, waiting to make a left hand turn. the impact was slightly off center to the driver side. the driver seat back collapsed backwards causing driver and rear passenger to collide resulting in lacerations and head injuries to both.
Vehicle was struck from behind by a pick-up truck driving at a high rate of speed. upon impact my vehicle's front seats collapsed into the back seats causing the seat belts to be ineffective. as a result the passenger in my vehicle sustained back and neck injuries. my vehicle was stationary as the traffic was at a standstill. the vehicle that struck my vehicle was traveling at about 70 miles per hour.
3rd row seats stopped working, seats stuck in stowed position (so i can't get to my spare tire.) no motor sounds, rear interior lights also stopped working. we haven't used the stow feature so much that it should cease to function. we have replaced the fuse, no change. because there is no way to operate the 3rd row seats while the car is in motion, all of the operation and troubleshooting of the third row seats have happened while the vehicle was stopped and in park.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford explorer. the contact stated that the third row seats became inoperable without warning. the vehicle was taken to frontier ford (3701 stevens creek blvd, santa clara, ca 95051, (408) 241-1800) where it was diagnosed that the seat motor and seat harness needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. an engineer was informed about the failure, but no action was taken. the vehicle was taken to sunnyvale ford (650 e el camino real, sunnyvale, ca 94087, (408) 215-9949), but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. the failure mileage was 67,000. the vin was invalid.
Rain water leaking into the vehicles back hatch and coming through the seat belts, causing wet seat belts, seats, spare tire equipment, and personal and items in cargo area.
While traveling through baltimore for approximately 45 minutes during the christmas holiday. i was sitting in the back seat of my friends 2018 ford explorer sport. i had the heated seat set to 2. i had fallen asleep during the trip. when i woke up i had a severe discomfort. upon arriving at our destination my friend looked to see why i was in such pain. on my left buttock was a large burn. i have enclosed a picture of the burn i received. the burn has blistered and is now an open wound. this occurred on christmas eve. i have been treating the area with burn ointment.
