Tl*the contact owns a 2004 ford escape equipped with goodrich tires, tire line: long trail, tire size: p235/70/r16, and dot number: unavailable. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the front tires slipped across the road without warning. the contact stated that he observed that the treads were completely worn down. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 220,000 and the tire failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

Value stem failure. i two fail on me in two days the tires where brought from goodyear tire on williamsburg road in richmond va the first was sat may 24 2008 had to replace the tire the other may 26 only replace stem. *tr

Dt: consumer has 26,000 miles on the vehicle and the original tires are on the vehicle. the tires are hydro planning. he called the tire company and was told to take it to a dealer. they told him that one tire was slightly cupping ,and another was wearing out. consumer was not told which tires these were. consumer rotated tires every 2,500 miles. this problem started during a rain storm going approximately 50-55 mph last week.*ak *jb

While driving at 65 mph consumer heard a flapping sound coming from the rear of vehicle. consumer parked on the shoulder of the highway and inspected the vehicle, discovered that rear right tire collapsed. vehicle was taken to the dealer, who claimed that the tire was punctured which caused it to collapse. *ak the dealer stated that the tire was probably punctured before the sidewall collapsed, but the sidewall should not have ever collapsed. *sc
