My vehicle was parked. i used the auto start. let it run for 2 minutes or so. i went to the vehicle, put my personal property in the front seat. closed the door. went to the backseat to grab an ice scraper, to clean off the car. closed the door, and the back window caved in. i am now afraid to drive my vehicle. i could have had my dogs in the back of the car. what happens if the full piece of glass that is my roof caves in? my child has now asked if the windshield could cave in?
Driver door ajar light remains on when door is completely closed and interior lights remain on. safety hazard when driving at night also a drain on the battery. vehicle was stationary when problem occurred but could not resolve and had to drive with interior lights on at night.
The moonroof in the ford edge will explode when driving more than 65mph down the highway. i have only had this car for 6 months and my roof exploded on me on the way home and of course it's not covered under any warranty. i can't imagine if there was kids in the car and the moonroof was open. i'm not the first person this has happen too. this roof needs to be recalled.
I have a problem with 2013 ford edge receive a message advising the left rear passenger door is ajar even when the door is securely shut. checked on internet found numerous complaints citing this same problem with the ford edge involving all different doors. received a letter from ford motor company entitled customer satisfaction program 19n09 wherein they advise of a problem with the door latch on the 2013 ford edge specifying the same problem i am having and advising they will replace the door latch on the drivers side door. it is my position they used the same type setup on all doors on the 2013 ford edge, they are aware of the defect and want to limit their exposure by limiting the program to the drivers door. there is a safety issue or concern prompting this program or ford would not have initiated the program and it would apply to all doors on the vehicle as evidenced by my problem with the rear door. i did contact the ford customer relationship center and was advised the program was limited to the conditions listed in the letter. this door ajar warning has come up when the ...
My wife was inside at work and the 2015 edge was just sitting in the parking lot. she got in after work and started the car and boom the back window just shatters. not remote started or anything. it was about 27degrees f outside. the window literally broke at all 4 corners. i have read there is a recall in canada for this issue but not one here in the united states. this is a wonderful way to start xmas is with a $600 repair bill since ford says it's not covered under warranty.
I had the lift gate open loading groceries and it all of a sudden released and came down and striking my head and neck and i quickly pushed it back up and it just dropped down again before i could get myself clear striking me again, it got my neck and shoulder. i took it to dealership and was first was told it was a problem for the body shop, but they quickly determined it was an electrical problem. the lift gate is very heavy and i do have to see a doctor for the persistent pain in the neck and shoulder. the vehicle was stationary in the parking lot of the grocery store.there wasn't a vehicle accident but i did receive an injury to my neck and shoulder, extent to be determined.*dt consumer stated when driving vehicle starts to shake. vehicle was taken to the dealer, pcm melted two igniton coils and new computer replaced.*jb
Panoramic sunroof cracks for no reason. the car is garage kept and well taken care of. minimal research has shown that this is a known problem but no recall has been issued.
My 2011 ford edge has a problem with the door latch: the passenger front door and the driver rear. everytime the door is shut it says door ajar.
Just noticed a large crack develop in the panoramic sunroof - front panel. unfortunately i do not remember the exact date. the crack started small and spread into different cracks covering a good portion of the sunroof. no evidence of rock or impact. cracks appear to be stress related though i am not an expert. called ford dealer and was informed this is not covered as vehicle is out of warranty. my vehicle is a 2016 ford edge sport with 25k miles. given a verbal estimate that the part would cost $1k and labor just shy of $2k for a total of $3k. i will again reinforce that the car has not been in any accident or impact and the crack appeared one morning and have grown. i am looking to sell the car and this is impacting the final price i am trying to negotiate.
