While driving with my 6 month old son in the car, i couldn't stop using my brakes! i almost crashed!! i looked up the symptoms online and everyone is complaining about this issue. it seems the brake booster fails and the brakes do not work!!! the other issue i have seen, hundreds of people complaining about rear tail lights blowing out and when changing out the bulbs, the bulb sockets are burnt and melted! mine are the same, burnt up and melted. it is a fire hazard waiting to happen!!

The driver side brake/turn signal stopped working on 10/10/19 and when i removed the taillight the socket was melted together with the light assembly wish i had a hard time taking it apart, i called ford service department and they said there was nothing they can do about unless i pay to fix it, the car parts shouldn't melt that is why the vehicle is equipped with fuses to burn out before the vehicle catches on fire. the print on the melted part number is: 2u5a 13411-08 080651109

2013 Ford Edge

Door ajar warning comes on which makes thee interior lights stay on, when this warning happens the doors will not lock. tonight, it was especially dangerous when this warning happened after dark and the interior lights stayed on while driving home which is a 20 minute commute. it makes it difficult to see what's happening outside the car, especially when you live in the country trying to dodge deer becomes 100% harder with interior lights on.

The EXTERIOR LIGHTING
2013 Ford Edge

The door sensor to let the car know the door was closed, failed, resulting in a constant "door ajar" message. this occurred on the driver side door and started shortly after i purchased the car (used) in 2017 and was no longer covered under warranty. for the better part of the past 2 years i was able to repeatedly open/close the door until the sensor recognized that the door was actually closed, but that no longer became an option as of 9/9/2019. no matter how many attempts were made to open/close the door, i could no longer manipulate the sensor. two impacts occurred as a result of this: 1. the car doors would not lock. since the car believed the door was ajar, every time you would go to lock the doors, the car would automatically unlock them. this poses a safety issue. 2. the interior dome light remained lit, resulting in a dead battery. i had no choice but to spend approximately $350 dollars to have the sensor replaced. i have seen many, many complaints online from edge owners with the same issue, yet ford is not being held liable for faulty equipment. this is an unfair expense to ...

I am writing to complain of the poor visibility from the headlights on this vehicle. with low beam on there is a black out line about 30 to 40 feet in front of the vehicle which changes with elevation of the road. i drive in rural areas 80% of the time and have difficulty seeing far enough in front to drive safely. when on high beam it is difficult to see to the sides far enough to see any objects possibly entering the roadway. i am wondering if anything can be done to resolve this issue. thanks for your time.
