Problems with 2010 Ford Edge AIR BAGS

Takata recall ford has not contacted me with information on where and when to repair the passenger airbag.

Takata recall its been a couple of years now - still waiting on parts to repair takata airbag. getting tired of calling - just keep telling me parts not available. i do not get it. a potential dangerous situation and no action after all this time.

Ttakata recall issued june 2016 and airbags still are not available. please help. i've contacted ford several times for over a year. not safe to drive vehicle with faulty airbags!

Takata inflators: my complaint is with your agency as much as ford. two years ago i learned of the inflator recall. i finally got written notification from ford july 2016. after no further contact i called them with nothing further they could add. called back july 2017 and was told no parts were being made, just don't use 1/4 the vehicle seating for safety. (not an option.) follow up october 2017, working with a new vendor...parts soon but no date. got december 2017 letter parts delayed until early 2018. its march. called today, more bs. no parts made. maybe 1st or 2nd quarter. lady made a u-turn out of a parking lot a couple weeks ago and i missed her by inches. worry every time we drive it often with grandkids in car. nhtsa has done nothing we have observed to fine or otherwise hold ford accountable/motivate them. i suspect they pay lobbyist to pressure your agency to ignore this problem. they had no problem getting their new cars out these last two model years. tired of my families lives being at risk daily, but can not get out from under this car at this time and who would want to buy it. what happened to the ralph nader days when companies were fined into motivation to do the right thing instead of worrying about their profits. i'm tired of worrying about this proven deadly fault. ford has verified we are part of the high risk group because of humidity. get off your buts and get us some help please!

I buy my ford edge last year in 2016 at 3205 north highway 61 in muscatine, ia, i recently got a important legal notice that's why i'm doing this inspection.

Have been receiving notices that airbag needs replacing and dealer keeps saying that it is not available. want to assure safety for us and passengers and want the replacement. this has been going on for a couple of years now. want immediate replacement.

My 2010 ford edge got t-boned , smashed in both doors in the middle of the left drivers door and left passengers door with no air bag deployment

Cooling - we had repairs done in the air & coolant . nothing works in this car. we went to ford grody to get a rental as their letter specified but there is a 130 on their waiting list for a rental car ( alternate transportation) we been waiting 3 years. till now no parts is available yet

Air bag recall over 2 years not fixed yet, now they say no one can set in passenger seat

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford edge. the contact stated that while driving approximately 5 mph, another vehicle crashed into the front driver's side door. the air bags failed to deploy with the significant impact. the driver sustained three fractured ribs, injuries to the shoulder, a traumatic brain injury and was currently on life support. a police report was filed of the incident. the vehicle was declared destroyed and towed to a salvage facility. the manufacturer was not notified of the problem. the vehicle was not inspected to determine the cause of the air bag failure. the approximate failure mileage was 39,000. updated 06/17/14*lj the consumer stated as a direct result of the accident, his wife died shortly thereafter, on april 7, 2014, from the injuries she sustained. updated 08/05/14.

Passenger side air bag needs replacement.

I was driving my 2 week old 2010 edge limited, on a highway in stop and go traffic,when i was hit from behind by a tractor trailer loaded with asphalt shingles. i was pushed into a car in front of me and both cars were totaled. during the crash, the components of the dash were ejected into the backseat. . if someone had been seated in the back seat, i'm sure they would have been severely injured by the debris.the dashboard stayed in place. also, the drivers seat brokefrom it's anchors. the air bag did not deploy. *tr
