Takata recall #16s26/nhtsa recall 16v-384 i have called to see if the replacement is available and am being told that there is no replacement available at this time and with takata filing chapter 11 there will have to be another company to make the replacement so i get to wait in limbo until this happens. ridiculous! i want my family protected the sooner the better.

Ford has yet to address the recall of the defective airbags, issued almost one year later. when will this be resolved?

I received a letter from ford in june of 2016 that one of the airbags in my car is defective. my car has a takata airbag which is known to severely harm or kill the occupant of the vehicle if the vehicle should be involved in an accident where the airbag is deployed. it has been 15 months since the initial notice was sent and no remedy has been made available to me. i would like a remedy asap.

Takata recall.. my front passenger side air bag is half way out my indicator on my dashboard stay on cause of it and it was said that it can deploy at anytime so my kids and sometimes friend's and/or husband have to ride in the back cause they're afraid of the airbag might deploy. we tried to push the rubber seal back over it but its no use.i inclosed some pictures of the truck.can not say when it really happened.

Takata inflators ** - 2 years and no replacement air bags for my vehicle. it has been recommended to not have anyone sit in the passenger seat. this now makes my vehicle a 4 passenger car (if you swish 3 people in the back seat). new airbags were to be available in spring 2018. now i receive another notice that the air bag replacement will probably be another 3 to 6 months. i am extremely upset with how this situation has been handled and looks like it is now time to get legal assistance. i have been more than patient.

Takata recall. my daughters ford edge received the recall letter that said the passenger air bag was recalled. the drivers was not, only the passenger. she is in college and frequently has other students in her car and i am very concerned about the safety of others or my daughter if she happens to not be driving the car and is a passenger. we have not received any information on when the passenger air bag will be replaced. it has been a very long time since we received the letter and can you please find out what is going on with this. i need the airbag replaced asap! thank you.

Auto transmission will not shift, engine revs and no power, wrench light airbag warning lights,dead speedo, odometer shows dashes. had trans fluid changed. no help. i have seen several problems noted on the internet. dealers are not fixing the problem by rebuilding the trans for several thousand dollars. the trans failing should not affect the various electrical problems associated with this incident. the system will reset if the engine is turned off and then restarted with nothing indicating a problem. there doesnt appear to be any codes set. i urge ford to embrace these problems before someone is hurt because the trans "jumps" out of gear and causes an accident. this reported problem should not be "news" to your complaints department. i have chosen to always prefer a ford products during my 50 years of driving and expect an honest, thorough and concise investigation be given to this problem.

Takata recall. i was notified over one year ago that our ford edge has faulty and dangerous air bags. i was told in a letter from ford that when the new bags are in stock, they will replace the current ones. so far, 3 calls to dealer, no replacement is in stock. meanwhile, i am driving my family in a dangerous car ?

Once we learned of the recall for the airbags we contacted the dealer immediately. we were told that they would replace them in 6 months. that was over a year ago and nothing has happened. we've asked numerous times (anderson ford) in kingman az and were told they would call us. it's been years. now what? as a result at this time the passenger airbag is turned off and my passengers have no protection.

Driving and all the sudden car loses transmission capability. it shifts really hard and when at a stop have to rev the engine to get it to go at a crawl. all lights on dashboard light up - tool wrench - air bag disabled - odometer and speedometer stop working. very dangerous in traffic!!!! *tr

Takata recall i purchased this suv from north star ford in duluth, mn. i have received several air bag recall notices from ford & stopped in 5-6 times in 2 years. first i was told there were no parts for the fix, now i am told the part manufacturer has filed for bankruptcy & in all likelihood, there will never be a repair. but ford is not declaring bankruptcy and i believe it is a ford manufacturer and dealership issue. we should be paid for the risk and for the3 diminished re-sale value due to the known defect.

I was driving down the highway when my speedometer and odometer stopped working. then it told me i had a error and a fault in my tire pressure system. my airbag light came on, indicating that it was off. i pulled over and turned off the vehicle. when i started it back up all the error messages cleared, but when i went to put my car into drive it sounded as if the transmission had dropped. i tried driving only to rev the engine up to 3000 rpm with barely any movement. when ever shifting from drive or reverse it made that loud popping noise. i took it to a dealership to be told it stopped doing it but they didn't fix it. they made no repairs. they are letting me pick the car up and drive it again with out any actual resolution, but they did charge me money to "look at the car". do people actually have to die for someone to issue a recall? i am reading thousands of reviews about the edge that experiences the same problems. lets issue a recall and develop some accountability! *tr

I have receiving recall letters on my 2008 ford edge for a passenge-side airbag malfunction since october 2014. it is now november 2016 and the local ford dealer tells me that the part is still not available. at assistance is greatly appreciated.
