Takata recall. my edge is a 2008. all that i read advised older vehicles are at a higher risk. i believe a 10 year old vehicles qualifies as "older". i am not able to take a second person with me anywhere unless they sit in the back seat. the last info i received has scared me. i am not in a position to purchase a new car and i feel that it is beyond time that this issue is taken care of. you can not contact ford about this. i was told by one of their representatives that their email has been remove because of the number of complaints. i paid for a 5 passenger vehicle and it is now a 4 passenger because of this issue. local ford dealers have pretty much written the issue off and honestly i guess it is beyond their control to do anything. ford won't take complaints. i am beyond frustrated with this issue

Takata recall - i received a recall letter regarding the problem with the passenger airbag in my 2008 ford edge. my problem is arlington heights ford is saying that they will not be able to fix it for at least a year because they don't have the part. in the mean time, i am not supposed to have anyone ride in the front passenger seat. i drive my daughter and nieces and nephews all the time that have to be in car seats in the back seat, which leave my 12 year old son in the front seat. i have no other option to drive the children around. it is unacceptable for this to not be fixed for a year. this is a life threatening problem, and needs to be resolved immediately.

Notified of airbag safety recall nhtsa 19v-001, safety recall notice 19s01 yet, i have attempted many times to make an appointment with planet lincoln/planet ford in humble and woodlands, tx. when they discover i need a loaner no appointment is ever made. they promise to call back when a loaner is available and never do. ford and lincoln send me notification regularly that this needs to me taken care of. i have related the same to them. i suppose they think they won't be held responsible if something happens to my airbags, but they will. i have names, dates, and conversations documented.
Takata recall - i was notified of this recall almost a full year ago. however, there has been no resolution. more often than not, there are passengers in my vehicle, and i (we) would like the reassurance of having this recall completed so that we know we are safe riding in this vehicle. i have called the dealerships a few times, and have been informed that the parts needed for this recall have not even been produced yet. please let me know when i may expect this issue to be resolved.
Takata recall - received a letter today from ford that the remedy parts have been delayed. the first notification dates back to june 2016. ford's recent request to delay the recall failed, but now we are being notified that the parts are not going to be available at the timeline stated in june 2016 notice, with no firm timeline indicating when they will be available. meanwhile, ford is directing me to not use my passenger seat. this is not a timely recall repair, and it is leaving consumers limited in how they utilize their vehicles.

Ford had sent recall notice not to have anyone in passengers seat until airbag is replaced but also states the parts won't be available until spring 2018. this is too long to wait for a fix for something that can cause bodily injury.
Takata recall. i received notification in the mail from tk holdings regarding an important legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators. i contacted westway ford in irving texas as my ford edge came up as one of the vehicles in the recall of the air bags. their service department told me the parts for the recall are not available and that i would receive a letter from ford when the parts would be available. how do i get this issue rectified asap? my daughter drives the vehicle.
Recall
Had a recall and they have yet to repair defective part after a year and a half. this is absolutely unacceptable. if they can build new cars with these airbags then the fact they cannot fix this is apparently on purpose. i feel a class action suit is the only remedy available to consumers.
Letter from senator risch on behalf of constituent regarding her case with the for takata airbag recall. *ld *js

The takata recall happened well over a year ago but we have yet to receive a ford recall so in the meantime our daughter continues to drive with this dangerous airbag. why is it taking ford so long to perform the replacement or are they even recalling anything at this point?

Takata recall i received this recall notice way over a year ago, and have been reluctant t o travel with someone in the front, passenger seat of my car since reading that it can potentially explode if the air bags were to be deployed. like i said, i got this over a year ago and have not heard anything from ford (i even called many times)... and a year seems like more than enough time to find a solution to this.
Takata recall - as of today the dealership has been unable to replace the defective airbags due to the failure of the manufacturer to provide the replacement part. i am fearful of an unintended inflation or failure to deflate in the instance of a crash.
