Tl* the contact owns a 2008 ford edge. the vehicle was taken to coggin ford jacksonville (9650 atlantic blvd, jacksonville, fl 32225 (904) 747-8996) for the nhtsa campaign number: 14v682000 (fuel system, gasoline). the fuel tank was repaired with a wax seal. one month later the contact noticed a large fuel leak from under the fuel tank. the contact called the dealer and got a return appointment. the dealer tried to charge the contact $1,600 for the fuel tank even after the initial recall repair was covered under a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. the dealer referred the contact back to the manufacturer. the contact got a case from the manufacturer who stated knowledge about the recall warranty. the manager at customer relations at the manufacturer stated there was nothing they could do about the issue and hung up on the contact. the result was that the vehicle had been at the dealer for two weeks and was still unrepaired. the contact just spoke to the dealer today and was told that there was no replacement fuel tank for the repairs and to come tow his vehicle away and fix it himself with a used part.

I was driving to my mothers house on 11/10/19. whole is was driving on route 1a my air bag exploded and it caused me to crash and it totaled my car. the news reporters came to the seen it aired for 2 days on channel 5 news. there has been a recall on my air bags since 2017 and ford didn't have the parts to my car to fix the issue they also didn't have the parts in 2018 as well and ford just place another recall on my vechile as well in february 2019 for the air bags again. this issue almost cost me my life. the town the accident took place was in walpole, ma on main street.

I did not own this vehicle when the recall was produced i have own this car for about 2 years with no problem until about 2 weeks ago i discovered that there is gas leaking from the bracket of the gas tank. once in park you can either smell a strong odor of gas and you can see where the the gas has been leaking onto the ground

Fuel is leaking, 1 believe from the fuel tank. the vehicle was in park, but left on for about 30 minutes. when i returned and reversed out the parking spot i noticed a puddle at the back end of the parking spot. i smelled the puddle and it was fuel.

I was in motion heading to work, as i was approaching a signal light , and tapped the brakes, i started to smell a rubber gas leak smell. this is has been occuring for the last six months ive had the brakes change. still the smell of burnt tar or gas fumes is loud whenever the brakes, a/c, or heat is on.

Takata recall i smell gas coming from my car ever since got from car lot automaxx and the transmission is acting up as well as the suspension too. it's overheating on me and haven't even had the car 2 months. the recall has been on going o.n this car for years they're is still 2 recalls open on my car. i never should of been sold this car because never has gotten the ok from the formal problems its had in the past. now i'm scared going to catch on fire while driving

I always maintained my "pre-owned" vehicle, purchased from dealership with 25,000 miles. began to experience a plethora of problems after 2,000 miles. i've paid over $8,000 in repairs and only drove it 35,000 in 8 years time, but maintained it properly & regularly: i've had to change the brakes & pads, & battery twice, it's wheel rims constantly leak air in the winter causing flat tires, changed all 4 tires, and on august 2, 20017, while driving on the highway at 60 mph, my steering control suddenly locked up! there was no control over the vehicle's movements- no ability to make lane adjustments or turns! i and my entire family including grandchildren could have been killed!! luckily, the next off-ramp was a straight shot & i was able to exit the hwy safely and bring the vehicle to stop despite no steering control. i had my vehicle towed to a ford dealership which incorrectly diagnosed the problem, & did not bother to inspect it for three days. it now needs a costly ($1500) rack and pinion to replace it's rusted out pressurized fuel line for power steering fluid. it remains unrepaired to date since there is also a takata airbag recall w/ possible fatal injury on this vin. the repairs have been delayed because this vehicle is an unsafe danger to drive! the fuel line defect was undetectable even though i had regular maintenance care and checkups.

Rec'd initial safety recall (14s22) letter dec. 2014 & 2nd notice april 2016 for the vehicle to be serviced by my authorized dealer, ramsey ford. may 16th ramsey's ppwork indicates the a sealant was applied. my vehicle failed inspection this april because the gas tank was corroded and leaking gas! i called ford & spoke to their cust. ser. rep, who refused to accept that this tank was not repaired properly & that they should replace it at no cost. they refused to accept the responsibility. i have photos of the tank, but they are too large to include with this form!

Takata recall and possible fuel leak recall. purchased vehicle 6/6/2015 and have never received recall notice letter, nor was vehicle fixed by dealer.

Takata recall: my vehicle has not been fixed and ford dealer says they cannot do anything until i receive a letter from you to take to them and not sure why parts aren't in. no incident with my vehicle as yet. your recall date is june, 2016

I am unable to "select affected parts" in this form: parts - power train, transmission, battery. over the past 6 months there have been numerous incidents where my vehicle, upon returning to speed or entering a roadway/highway, or otherwise entering a roadway, it has made a noise, a sudden jerk, seem to hold speed (fail to increase speed) and seems to feel like it is failing to changed gears (appears to rev in rpms slightly), then jerks again, and comes back into routine shifting. it is an automatic. this happens often. i have had the fluid check, flushed, replaced, asked my mechanic and she can find no issues. it seems to feel like it bogs down, but rpms appear to increase (almost as if it is not in gear/neutral). it seems to be happening more and more frequently. i have routinely checked my car for recalls. and i should note have had the ball bearing go bad (as recalled) and replaced, including the entire arm on the left rear. additionally, my battery has failed and been replaced (approximately 3 years ago) and has since required replacement again. it needs to be jumped started, and upon first replacement (by ford) it was noted not all cylinders or cells were charged/charging. *tr

After driving the vehicle for 20 minutes it began to slow down and the more gas (peddle pressure) we gave it the slower it continued. it felt as though it was chugging' along and 'sputtering'. *tr

The vechile loss power and stalled out. after that the car on the second occurrence won"t start had to charge battery the car raced whiled idling and had no power to run. went back to the dealer and are unable to find any problem. so we are now stuck with a car that will shut down and lose all power which is not safe to drive do to the fact that if we drove it at night and stalls out we lose all power and with no power the other cars may run into us and cause an accident which we are unable to prevent. thank you this is a dangerous situation. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) *tt
