Here is the link to an exact detailed explanation. when i lost power my car rolled into the middle of the intersection and was hit. http://www.you...
Touch screen alternates from blue screen to backup camera and back again it seems it's stuck in a loop.
Lost all power while driving on highway. i was able to coast vehicle to shoulder of highway and then restart vehicle
Air bag light was on in the car. seat belt light for driver's seat doesn't always turn on nor does it alarm even when the seat belt in buckled or unbuckled or if the vehicle was stopped or in motion. took vehicle in for service, initially was told there may have been rodent damage and that wouldn't be covered by warranty but they would check it out. when i returned, i was told empty water bottles under the passenger seat may have moved a wire. service people stated that the wire may still be dislodged, they didn't check that. dealership (sheehy ford in gaithersburg, md) stated that it was most likely due to water bottles, therefore they didn't check to see if the wire was fully connected or not. i feel my claim was dismissed by the service center and it seems like a safety concern. i am not confident the issue has been fixed. 4 empty water bottles that slide easily under the seat should not dislodge a wire. additionally, the dealer voided the ticket and didn't submit my claim to warranty. i am still concerned about the safety of my vehicle should i be ...
I have been having problems for over a year with a defective door switch on the driver's side rear door causing the "door ajar" warning light to display and the interior lights to stay on when the door is shut tight. the warning light will stay on the entire time the car is running, whether stationary or moving. recently i received the attached customer satisfaction program letter 19n09. as you can see it clearly states that ford's offer to replace the defective switch free of charge is for the drivers side front door only. i chatted with a ford customer service representative on january 29, 2020 and was told that at this time their offer does not extended to other doors. i was also told to contact the nhtsa and file a complaint. in recent months i have checked on several ford owner websites and have found that defective door switch problem is happening on any doors of the affected ford owners' vehicles. to me this makes ford's offer pointless to the majority of the vehicles with defective door switches! on behalf of myself and all ...
I reported about 3 -4 years ago about door ajar problem. my car was in warranty then. received letter to-day jan 2020 about fixing problem now my car according to them is out of warranty and now they will not cover this defect. there should be no time frame on this issue. it is a factory defect they just want consumer to pay once again for there defect not a happy camper.i will not recommend a ford to any one as they do not stand by there products
Intermittent door ajar warning and cannot lock doors and dome light stays on. ford has a customer satisfaction program (19n09) for this issue but the dealer told me that my vin number does not qualify for this even though the door parts are the same part number from 2011 through 2014.
I was driving my ford edge on route 303 in phoenix at about 60 miles per hour when the car suddenly started shaking and losing power. it allowed me to drive a very short distance until i was able to stop the car, in a turn lane with a tractor trailer on my tail ...very disconcerting! a yellow wrench light was showing along with some notice about my traction being off, i believe. after sitting a few minutes i was able to move it off the turn lane and into a fairly safe lane ahead. fortunately a policeman pulled up behind me and i shut off the engine and called aaa for a tow. 20 minutes later, i turned on the engine which now seemed fine so the policeman suggested that i pull forward into a safer area. after doing sotheby's car seemed fine again so i drove it to my daughter's house several miles away and cancelled the tow. i have been researching this issue on line since and this has happened to many edge owners who have feared for their lives when the same thing happened to them. some say ...
Taillight was inoperative, passenger side, along with directional signal. thinking it was a burned out bulb, i removed the tail light connector from the plastic housing. i noticed that the bulb had totally fuzed itself to the connector. while the bulb filaments appear intact, the bulb and connector had generated enough heat to essentially melt the base of the bulb to the connector into one unit. oddly enough, when looking for the cause of why so much heat would be generated, i googled "car tail light connector and bulb melted". surprise surprise, i was directed to the ford edge forum where this seems to be a very common complaint. naturally, i needed to get this fixed quickly and my husband was going to the salvage yard for unrelated parts, so i asked him to see if he could find a connector, since this particular item was common to many, many ford and mercury vehicles. he found t ford focus' that used this connector, and bought them. of note, the two connectors (1 was a "spare") he brought home were both showing signs of discoloration of the plastic on the connector. the ...
2019 ford edge st - using parallel park assist feature, i followed prompts on screen, the car backed into another vehicle, damaging the right rear quarter-panel of the edge. i had to take over and brake once i realized it was about to hit the other vehicle. no alerts or warnings appeared on the screen. the system shouldn't have continued with the parking steps if it "lost" its sensors on the space and should have sensed an object in the path. the vehicle also has transmission shifting issues around 25-30 mph. nearly stalls before shifting into gear and accelerating. this happens 100% of the time driving in stop/go traffic, slow accelerating (not putting pedal to the floor), and driving city streets. thick ice/condensation builds up on the interior side of the windshield when parked outside in a cold climate. must be dried with a towel (towel will be soaked from the amount of water build-up) before car can be driven. defrost does not solve the issue.
The suv gave me a blinking engine light. decoding to a misfire problem. the first time i had the car looked at they replaced the coil packs. about 10,000 miles later i got the same misfire problem. some of the coil packs were melted. i had the suv towed to a garage and they said the engine control module is defective. they replaced the control module for $1500.00. yikes. dealer told me that ford motor company knows the ecm is defective but won't recall so i have to pay for their screw up. want a refund from ford.
