My 2007 dodge ram 2500 with 68,500 miles, left me on the side of the road. according to the dealership the fuel tank vent has allowed dirt and other contaminants in to the fuel system. this in turn clogged several other components. to fix the problem they had to drop the fuel tank, clean and flush the system, dispense of 34 gallons of fuel, install a "vent up fit kit"($675.00) and re-install fuel tank. total cost to me...$1175.00 dealership, plus 34gal. of fuel (34gal. x $3.85) = $130.90. if they have an up fit kit, wouldn't that suggest dodge has knowledge of this problem? wouldn't that amount to a recall if the original equipment was sub-par and needed to be repaired with a heavier version? i think so! *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge ram 2500 quad st (na). while driving approximately 50 mph, the check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel and power was lost to the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who could not duplicate the failure. the contact stated that the light illuminated again and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. the dealer stated that the #5 fuel injector was defective; it was replaced. the failure occurred again december 2010. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that the #6 fuel injector was also defective. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 48,000 and the current mileage was approximately 54,000.

Several issues we are dealing with. first, this is one that the dealership/service, can't even get right. the "check engine" light will not come off. they say it's because of the gas cap, but we are aware how to put the gas cap on. also, we noticed yesterday that our paint is bubbling up on the hood and roof. this is very annoying, since our truck only has approx. 13,500 miles on it. also, this morning the "electronic throttle control" light came on, and we are not sure what is causing this. we looked in our truck manual, and cannot find anything on it. *tr
