I live in wisconsin where we experience extreme temperature changes, and with winter temperatures often below zero, the occupants need to be warm to be safe. the safety of driver and families depends on the proper working order of heater in these conditions. the heater blender door is apparently stuck to the open position allowing fridge cold outside air to be blown into the cab in the foot area. after driving an hour to our destination the driver and the occupant in the front seat no longer can feel their feet because of being so cold. "how can proper acceleration and braking be applied when the operators feet are frozen?". this is a safety concern and a health hazard to occupants, with the potential to cause frost bite, because the cold air can't be diverted or shut off. after searching on-line this is a common problem in numerous models and years of dodge vehicles. the average cost of the fix is 1000.00 to 1500.00 because the dash needs to be pulled out. i couldn't imagine how much this issue has generated in auto repairs, do to faulty equipment to the consumer. this is a recall issue and should be addressed as such. i even spoke to a person while waiting at the local dealership that complained about the same issue and was getting it fixed. this costly/ common repair, if not fixed can effect the safe operation of the operators gas and brake pedal in extremely cold weather. judging by the comments on-line this should be a recall issue. thanks *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 dodge ram 1500. when the contact attempted to open the passenger and driver side windows, they remained closed. in addition, while driving at any speed, and making a left or right turn, the contact felt a pop in the steering wheel. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the tie rod needed to be replaced; however, the window failure was not diagnosed. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 60,400. updated 11/20/15*lj

Wipers have started to only function when they want to. even when on they will sometimes turn off or pause or go faster. intermittent does not work properly, seems to have a mind of there own. *tt

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 dodge ram 1500. the contact stated that the windshield wipers failed intermittently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the wiper module assembly and wiper vented motor housings were defective and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 09e009000 (visibility:windshield wiper/washer). the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 38,000 and the current mileage was 38,500.

Vent door broke causing air to only come out of the defrost vents with no air on the floor vents. when floor vents are selected on control switch air blows out defrost vents. *tr

Wiper motor fails at any speed turn signal flashes right for left or vice versa. dangerous to driver and oncoming traffic. *tr

The windshield wiper motor is failing on my 2007 dodge ram. there is a recall on the 2008 and 2009 models. it no longer operates on anything but intermediate, even when the knob is on high. this failure has caused a dangerous situation. *tr

Wipers don't always work. i understand there is a recall investigation but i have not been notified. vehicle is a 2007 dodge ram 1500 pick-up. *tr

Three times now in the last month the ds arm and blade has fallen off of my vehicle while driving - once when i was parked, once travel at 25 mph, and the third time traveling 60 mph. at no time was there snow or ice on my vehicle. this to me is a safety concern. if i am driving at 60-70 miles per hour on the expressway in the rain and the arm and blade falls off, i will be without a wiper arm and blade. there will be no way of stopping to look for this part. this is a safety concern to me. the dealership where we purchased the vehicle said that this happens quite frequently and isn't a problem. they said this probably has something to do with the cold weather. i know for a fact that these products go through extensive testing prior to vehicle launch. we would like the ds arm and blade totally replaced. there is probably something wrong with where the arm head casting connects to pivot assembly of the wiper module. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge ram 1500. while driving at various speeds, the contact experiences difficulty opening the rear window. the handle is located behind the driver's side head rest. in addition, the accelerator pedal is too close to the brake pedal, which occasionally causes the contact to accelerate when he is actually trying to brake. on one occasion, he crashed into his home due to the pedals being so close together. no one was injured during the crash and the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. the current mileage was 2,990 and failure mileage was 500. updated 07/29/08 *bf updated 07/29/08
