I own a 2003 dodge ram pickup and the dashboard has recently started to crack dramatically. there are now 3 large cracks in the dashboard that go from the front windshield to the opposite edge of the dashboard. i owned a gmc pickup for 10 years and there was never a single crack and i have been living in the same environment/area so i know that the weather/sun is not the cause. i am afraid that the cracks are going to cause the entire dashboard to collapse and possible damage wiring or be a possible hazard while driving. *tr

Dodge ram 1500, 2003 slt 4x4. dash board is cracking and falling apart. less then 30,000 miles i noticed my first crack. only a few years old. now i have more then 60,000 miles and can't even clean it for fear of cutting myself. it has looked like i don't take care of my truck for over 3 years. i can't even sell it and paid over $30,000 for it new. this is a defective part and dodge knows it. the replacement part is from dodge and is also defective. it also cost $800.00 for the replacement defective part from dodge. this just isn't right. *tr
My dashboard is cracking very badly. at first i thought it was because of the way i drive but i found out that many people who drive this vehicle are having the same problems. dodge should pay for this because it is a defect in the manufacturing of the item. *tr

I have had two different problems with my vehicle. on or about 19 apr 2006 my dashboard started cracking, and a years later there is a short somewhere in the electrical system, because my windows and door locks only work when they won't to, and my radio volume changes whenever it wants to. i purchased my vehicle jan 2006 with only 34,000 miles. i have searched several websites to find our individuals with the same issues, and low and behold there are several individuals on several different websites with the same issues. however, surprisingly there still aren't any investigations or recalls started. *tr

2003 dodge ram 1500 dashboard cracked in less than 3 years of buying it new. according to dodge its cosmetic but this is clearly a safety hazard when i drive. the dash has so many cracks and sharp jagged edges than can severely hurt someone. obviously dodge does not care about its customers once they have bought one of their vehicles. its an obvious defect yet dodge somehow manages to get away with poor quality at the customers expense. *tr

2003 dodge ram 1500 a large crack appeared on dash on passenger side im real concerned because its right over the air bag and i've noticed that there are alot of complaints about this same issue on the dodge trucks. *tr
During the first year we bought the truck it had to be towed in to the shop because it would lose power and just "turn off" and could not be started about 6 times. after the truck was returned to us after one of these episodes, we had hooked up our camper to leave for the weekend, went into the house for some more stuff, and noticed that the gas tank had fallen off the truck and was sitting in the driveway under the truck. so much for camping that weekend and another tow to the dealer. we also purchased an extended "bumper-to-bumper 100,000 mile, 5 year warranty that covered rust. i brought the truck into the dealer to show them the rust around the rear wheel wells and lower body in the 4th year into the warranty and they said they made a record of it and would take care of it. they put if off with promises after numerous calls and trips to the dealer until the dealership sold to another party and the warranty had expired (years, not miles). the body is rotten, the passenger front window was never fixed, and it still occasionally stalls. i'm told that the stalling and body problems are engineering defects, and internet searches confirm this. *tr
Major water leakage through the handles located on both driver and passenger window frames. *jb
When it rained water would come into the vehicle through the top of the door and the side handle. dealer examined the problem eight times. dealer claimed to have repaired the problem once, but the problem recurred. *ak
