Due to a medical condition i was not even aware of i passed out while driving. unconscious i drove into a ditch, came out airborne (according to an eyewitness), proceeded on straight into a tree. my airbag did not deploy resulting in my head being thrown into the steering wheel, resulting in knocking out 5 teeth requiring oral surgery, a gash on the chin requiring stitching and an on going jaw issue. i had no other bodily injuries. had the airbag deployed i may have been injury free. *dt*jb
I got a recall letter multiple times. everytime i try to schedule an appointment with my local dealer they said they dont have the part available. it has been more than 2 years since i owned my vehicle and three dealers said they will call me back when they have the part available. i even tried calling a dealer from a different state because i moved. no success. recall code r26
I am supposed to register my email address to tkrestructuring.com/ppic i see no place to do this. i've called the phone numbers and a message machine gives me other email addresses to go to, like safercar.gov but i don't have a place to register my email address. just baffled. [xxx] [xxx] it's about driver side airbag inflator deffect and tk holdings going bankrupt and some other corp. buying them out free of debt if we don't register etc. can anyone direct me? information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'*jb
Takata recall i received a notice of recall for airbags. i followed the notice's procedures to find if and how my vehicle may be affected. i registered my email at tkrestructuring.com/ppic, but was unable to find if my vehicle was affected. i then got on the website of www.airbagrecall.com and typed in my license plate and state as directed. the response was "having trouble finding your vehicle". i then typed in my vin # on this same site (www.airbagrecall.com) and my vehicle came up. it stated that my passenger side airbag inflator something was in recall. when i clicked on the "take action" button, my computer just churned and churned for approximately 15 minutes. while it was churning i called the associated phone number with this website (888-327-4236). a message told me to contact tkrestructuring.com/ppic. when i phoned the tkrestructuring.com/ppic phone number provided (833-619-7579), all i received was a message telling me to get on the www.airbagrecall.com with no opportunity for me to leave a voice message. i got back on the www.airbagrecall.com website, typed in my vin #, and once again, all it did was churn and churn when i clicked the "take action" button. i would really like to find out if i am driving a vehicle of doom, and if so, how to get it fixed. all the info i was provided sent me around in a circle with absolutely no solution. thank you. My air bag light keeps coming on in my dash area . i took it to my dealer on 10-30-2017 ( they did the recall when i received my 1st notice ) got another one today . they told me no light was on at the time , so they said it was not related to the recall notice , and i would have to pay to have them look into it any farther. the light still comes on, so i contacted you . the truck is in motion when the light comes on . i'm scared the air bag may deflate while i'm driving my truck . please help me solve this as soon as possible, the dealer refuses to go any farther with the recall !! thank you

I received a letter in the about recalled air bags for my vehicle a dodge ram 1500 2003. i need my air bags replaced it's very dangerous knowing the airbags can rupture at moment.
Takata recalls. on 10/05/2016 took my 2003 dodge ram 1500 into gerry wood auto group, salisbury, nc, to replace a recalled air bag along with additional work. 10/07/2026 vehicle was return ed to me. 10/05 1017 took my vehicle back to gerry wood because the warning airinf air bag light was on. a check found the squib circuit and air bag shorted. 10/09/2017 returned my vehicle because the warning light was coming on and 10/10/2017 the vehicle was returned to me. i was told if the condition continued the shop would have to replace the occupant restraint controller (orc). i was also told that i would have to pay for the replacement of the orc. never had a problem with the orc until the mechanics replaced the air bag. any problem with the air bag that were not a problem prior to the mechanics replacing the part should be the responsibility of gerry wood dealership. please adivise huber r. ijames [email protected]
Takata recall. like many other dodge 1500 owners, my dash has cracked and i cannot get the recall fixed. because it is cracked the dealer wont touch the air bags even though it states serious injury or death can occur if not taken care of.
Takata recall i finally was able to find a dealer with parts for the recall and took my truck in for the repair. the service advisor called me to inform me that he could not assure me that further cracking of the dash wouldn't occur during the repair procedure. i said then if you damage it then i will hold you responsible. he said he could not proceed without me basically indemnifying him. i would not agree to that. the cracked dash is of itself a safety problem should the airbags deploy and send dash fragments flying. if they cracked it further, then it would be even more unsafe. i think takata has the responsibility along with chrysler to fix the dash since the dash was made with inferior or defective materials as evidenced by the widespread issue with dodge ram dashes.

[xxx] at chrysler corporate referred me to dealer, landmark dodge chrysler jeep in morrow georgia. set an appointment for 8am march 3. took 24 hours to hear back from them. this is where i am asking for help from your office regarding the safety issue. landmark tells me it will cost $420.00 in diagnostics cost to tell me what the problem is. this smells of a cover up as to the problem. i did not let ths deter me, so i authorized. the truck has not been in a wreck and this happened during normal street driving while moving. will keep you advised, but can you help with this outlandish fee to detract me perusing this safety issue? Takata recall. i have just received my 7th recall notice for dealer replacement of the faulty airbag system. i have called dodge headquarters and time and again been referred to my local dealer. the dealer says they will call me when they get the parts. i have never heard from the dealer on this subject. i believe this started back in 2014/2015 but it's hard to tell since none of the notices are dated. when can i expect to get this possibly explosive part replaced?

I took it in to the dealer for passenger air bag recall.i scheduled an appointment 3 days advanced, even though i was there for 5 hours and my truck went in to shop and out right away but was left sitting. at that time i thought it was sitting probably because they where waiting for my new part; i asked if it was done at hour 5 and dealer said they where looking for me for the longest time after i clearly told them i was gonna wait. i was sitting right in front of them for hours and my fear is that dealer never inspected air bag at all. heres what i got: r26 safety recall r26- passenger airbag inflator (recall) inspect passenger airbag part number and conduct supplemental restraint system test. no further action required. i have a feeling they bs this inspection, i dont trust them as far as i can throw them.

Takata recall- i received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag, late 2015. received notice that part was available august 2016. i only used the vehicle for limited use while waiting for the replacement part. when i brought the truck in to have the airbag replaced, they told me they checked the part number on my airbag and it's good, it doesn't need to be replaced. so i lost the use of my vehicle for the last several months because a recall shouldn't have been issued or is it that chrysler didn't want to spend the 15 minutes to check the part number when the issue first arose?
Airbag light on dash stays on. contacted dodge about this problem and they could not help. i don't think it is a good idea to drive around with the airbag light on. the airbag will not engage when this dash control light is illuminated. the vehicle has never been involved in a collision. just minor scrapes and scratches.
Takata recall i received a recall notice from dodge . when i contacted a dodge dealer to make an appointment i was informed they didn't have the replacement airbag and it would be 9 months to a year before they could get it .

Takata airbag i called dealer to schedule recall and asked if they would have to remove the dash. he stated that they would but chrysler would not cover the dash if it broke in the process. i then called chrysler and they confirmed that they would not cover dash replacement. i do not see how it is my place to spend a thousand dollars to fix my dash if they destroy it to fix their airbags that are faulty when i bought the truck new for 32000 dollars i didn't ask for a faulty airbag or a cheaply made chinese plastic dashboard. any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
The local chrysler, jeep dodge or ram dealer said they could not fix the recall at this time and would order part and call us back at a later date.
