Takata recall i received my first recall notice in february 2015 and received three notices before i could get an appointment with air bag inflator in stock. i drove about 80 miles to the dealer only to be told they no longer had them in stock and they had written my phone number wrong so that was a wasted trip. then i finally got another appointment and after being at the dealer about 30 minutes and was told they did not have the inflator for my truck and none had been released yet that fit my truck. that was another 160 mile round trip wasted. this has been over a year of waiting to have my vehicle repaired. when are the inflators for a 2003 dodge ram 1500 going to be available?

Takata recall- looks like chrysler needs some more fire under them, hopefully airbags don't deploy anytime. chrysler needs to also include a recall for defective "cracked dashboard" junk. if my truck was in an accident i would have sharp plastic and metal shrapnel all over myself and any other occupants.
This is a follow up email for one that i sent back in may of 2015 . my dodge ram still has not had the air bags recall fix done on it . it now has been another 3 months since i was told that greenbrier dodge in chesapeake , va. would be doing the repair . i have called them twice to check on my status . each time i am told the same thing ; the parts have not come in yet . i feel that fca is stalling on this matter . i sent a follow up email to chrysler today also . i just wanted to let you know that this issue is now past the ridiculous stage . nothing should take this long to get resolved . any pressure you could put on fca would be appreciated . i know that they have been fined $105 million dollars for not doing the recall repairs in a timely manner . maybe , a larger fine would get their attention . thank you for listening to my rant . i just want my truck fixed before something really bad happens . thanks again . *tr
Back in jan . , i received a recall notice for my 2003 ram1500 about the driver airbag . i think it was notice p40 . i took the truck into my dealer , southern chrysler jeep ram and they were supposed to order the parts to fix the issue . i have called the dealer several times checking on the issue and each time i am told that it is a parts issue that chrysler can't get the parts . it is now may 5th and still no fix . i think that the dealership and maybe chrysler , think that i will just forget about the issue . i promise that i will not forget . in march , i received a second recall notice for the passenger airbag . i think that recall notice is p78 . i am not getting anywhere with this dealership and the service manager . i think 4 months is plenty of time to get the necessary parts in to fix the problem . it sounds like i am being given the run around and stall . god forbid that either airbag system should malfunction and cause me injury or possibly death . i have sent an email to chrysler today with the same information that i am sending you . i do not like riding around in a truck that may have the airbags explode and cause me injury or death . i just wanted to bring this issue to your attention in hopes that , with your help , this problem can be resolved . My husband took our vehicle a total of four times already and each time the dealership said the code had been changed as far as the replacement part(s) was concerned. the dealership said they had to wait for the part. we wasted our time and money on gas also just to be told this each time. this is our only vehicle that we have to drive. we feel we are just getting the run around, so why bother.

Takata recall. we received a notice from fiatchrysler automobiles on or about october of 2014 notifying us of our defective airbag and the necessary replacement. we have contacted them and our local dealer, tanner motors, brained mn. as to when this airbag replacement will be performed. we have been told the new bags are currently not available. there has been no response to these numerous calls we have made. we get the same run around. the new airbags are back ordered. how long must i drive around with this potentially dangerous condition? who is going to be held responsible if someone gets hurt due to this delay? there appears to be an intentional foot dragging by whoever is bearing the cost in this replacement. what is our government doing to motivate these people to perform the needed repair? i am currently limiting my usage of this vehicle because of the danger it poses. i would appreciate any help in resolving this problem. thank you in advance, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).' *tr
