I was driving the van on a major road at 45-50 mph, when the engine cut out. power steering was disabled, i was able to pull van off onto side street and restart. i don't know if fob switched to acc or off, i was just upset it stalled on major road. per article i have read, fob can move out of place if ride is bumpy, well i live in michigan where pot holes are sometimes unavoidable. road was bumpy that i was traveling on. i know their is a recall on van l25 for the ignition switch, i have since removed the fob from my key ring and will only drive with fob in ignition. *tr

Received important safety recall for fobik on vehicle in late sep 2014 (6 months ago). fobik causes continued problems (not seating correctly, getting stuck in accessory mode, not allowing vehicle to start). dealer can't repair due recall l25/nhtsa 14v-373 (they need the same part that remains, as of this date, 'unavailable'. how long does an 'important safety recall' get to languish before it is a priority for repair? 6 months certainly does not infer 'a safety priority'. why issue a safety recall notice months before the remedy part is available to enable a repair? this seems a bit backwards. *tr

The date above is not real. i don't know the dates for these incidents. i am waiting since sept for a repair on this recall and my notice says i have a right to have it corrected quickly and at no cost. i have had problems in the past but no the one described. do seem related to key not being seated correctly. after parking, it is in reverse when i return to vehicle (happened a few times.) the key is difficult to remove (often). a few times i put the car in park and removed the key and got out and my radio and wipers continued to run until i put the key back and jiggled it a few times to get all to turn off. *tr

I currently am buying a 2009 dodge grand caravan is part of the recall for faulty ignition module. this has cause the vehicle to sporadically not start, even after a complete day of driving. this issue started shortly after i purchased the van almost 2 yeas ago. i was told my key needed reprogrammed, paid to have it done and this has obviously not fixed the issue , as it continues to progressively worsen. the vehicle is now shutting off while driving and will not restart. i have spoke with the dealership and called chrysler and they both say that i have to pay to have it even diagnosed because they do not think that the recall is the issue. i was also told that even if it is the recalled part there is no fix available for the 2009 as of yet. i fear the vehicle will not be functional much longer as the problem seems to occur on now a daily basis. the dealer insists it is something else any other time i have had the problem and just tries to just sell me another part that will not fix it. so what are other options other than paying for a car that is non functional or giving the car back loosing anything i have paid on it and being without a vehicle? *tr

I received a safety recall on my caravan, in june 2014, it says this was a safety recall, as of this morning tuesday 11 am november 11, 2014. i have heard nothing from chryaler, and nothing from the dealer. i called the dealer, the service department has no idea when they will receive "any parts" for this recall, i said this was unsatisfactory since it has been almost 5 months, the service department transferred me to the parts department, and the parts department said they have not recieved "any" parts for this recall, and had no idea when they would!. the recall notice stated if i had concerns which the dealer was unable to resolve, i should call their chrysler group recall assistance center at 800-853-1403. i also called this number and was told they "also have no idea when parts will be available for this recall". i told them this was completely unsatisfactory, since i drive with children much of the week, and since the recall is almost 5 months old i want action. they took my mailing and email address, and said they will email me when parts are available. this also is absolutely unsatisfactory for a "safety recall" this is a "safety" issue????? evidently chrysler and possibly nhtsa??? do not think it is, please advise. *tr
