My car stalled on the highway and eventually would not start. nov 18th i was made aware of a recall ro9 which caused the issue . i waited for the backordered part unit the 29th incurring rental car costs. nov 14th another recall was issues v62 for same problem. related to the par they installed on by car the 29th. i also cannot be reimbursed for my rental until the par for the first recall is available and it is under development . i am forced to drive a unsafe car with the potential to cut out on the highway with no remedy and no eta on that fix. my last stall on the highway almost caused a serious injury. For weeks my 2013 durango sxt won't lock when pressing the key fob and sometimes when i unlock the car, the horn goes off several times, as if i'm locking the car. i've replaced the battery in the fob, so not sure why it's not working properly. my liftgate lock stopped working for a month and recently started working. my check engine light is on and the car randomly has a delay in starting. i'm reading that it could be a fuel pump relay and the 2013 durango has a recall for it, but my vin isn't included in the recall even though it had a tipm recall that was repaired, which is closely associated with the fuel pump relay recall.
I was driving and braking for a stop sign and the vehicle started to jolt. i pulled in to the garage and the vehicle shut off on its own. i went to restart it and it would turn over but would not start. i tried again later that night, and it started again.
The vehicle has shut off while driving a few times. had to start it back up. once, it shut off then turned right back on. no lights on, warnings nothing.
Vehicle is stationary. vehicle sometimes cranks but will not start. happens periodically. cannot hear fuel pump running before enabling start sequence. must turn ignition off and wait a few minutes before attempting to restart. usually starts on the second or third try.
Same as feb 2015 recall. fuel relay replaced june 2019. as of july 9 2019 back in shop for tipm issues and replacement. after 4 days and a 3hr diagnostic study it was determined that the timp would need to be replaced and possible other modules. vehicle originally had starting problem. once fuel relay was replaced that ended. then vehicle started but all dash lighting and error messages started flashing stating fcw was off, showed hill ascent indicator, showed brake indicator neither were on, showed service engine indicator and others. wipers would randomly swipe even though they were off. warning bell would randomly ding as if the seat belt was not fastened. it was. headlights would randomly flash and the doors would unlock (this problem has been happening for 3-4 yrs but service would say to check key fob battery or possible interference of something else. did drive vehicle to work approx 4 miles and home the first day of problem. next day vehicle went straight to dealership approx 8 miles away. still there 4 days later. not repaired. apparently my vin is not part of original recall and now i will have to pay a minimum of $1560.00 for repairs in addition to the $472.00 i spent on the fuel relay.
Fuel pump relay system not working. i had the fuel pump repaired once but it did not fix the problem. it is recalled but not with my vin
I had the recall done in 2015 for the fuel pump relay. i was driving my vehicle when it died and now i am being told the fuel pump relay is out and needs to be replaced. i spoke with the 800 number for dodge who refused to cover the replacement because i had it done already. this is something that shuts the vehicle down even if you are driving. i was driving my vehicle and it shut down as soon i came into my neighborhood. it had to be towed.
Car has issues starting. starter is cranking, no fuel to fire the car. car has 1/2 tank of gas.
I was driving in some pretty hard rain going about 60mph. i slowed the car down to about 40 and when attempting to accelerate again the car would not accelerate. the vehicle then seemed to stall and lose both breaks and steering. i was on a hill so it was very scary. i was able to pump the emergency break and get the vehicle to stop. something is wrong with this vehicle causing it to not accelerate, then lose power and breaks. i was reading an issue with the alternator may be the case but i am not sure how that would cause loss of breaks. also my dealership states they already fixed the alternator recall on this vehicle.
Upon trying to start my vehicle it starts tries to start but seems it is not getting fuel to actually turn the motor. this happens several times and then it will start. once already i was driving down the road when the vehicle started sputtering like it wasn't getting enough fuel. then it shut down suddenly in the middle of the road. i was almost rear ended by another vehicle, they had to run off the side of the road to keep from hitting me. after several tries to restart the vehicle i let it sit for about 5 minutes and then tried to restart it again. it restarted and i was able to drive the rest of the way home. had i been in an accident it would have been very bad as i had a box of honeybees in the back of the vehicle. i am unable to recreate the issues to show anyone else. although i finally had a family member witness the cranking of the car issue. as it happened again today 03-28-19
Vehicle is having issues starting while parked. i have seen that 2012 - 2013 dodge durango's do have a active recall from chrylser on certain models for the tipm. the issues stems from the cars inability to start due to the tipm not providing fuel when attempting to start. the starter is attempting to start the vehicle but it does not fully turn over. http://m.carcomplaints.com/news/2015/chrysler-dodge-jeep-tipm-lawsuit.shtml this issue started mid march 2019 and has persistently gotten worse with sometimes now failing to properly start.
Fuel pump relay recall (r09). i took my vehicle for this recall on 2015. now, 2019, a couple of weeks ago, the vehicle was presenting the condition such as difficulty to start like once a week until it start doing that daily, sometimes more than once a day. i took it to the dodge service center and it was identify as the same issue. repairing will take a couple of days until the part is receive.
In november 17, 2016 a recall campaign 15v-115 was issued. my durango was serviced by dealer due to this recall. recently i took the vehicle to the triangle dealers in puerto rico, with the same issue. they wanted to change the fuel pump, because this was the diagnostic of the mechanic. i did not agreed with the diagnostic because i had already verified that when i moved the cables of the relay they installed, the vehicle turned on again. i picked up my durango at the dealer on the december 24, 2018. now the durango has the same problem, it actually stalled will driving almost causing me to have an accident on the 25th. my complain is the the relay installed in these vehicles are not the solution. i've research other vehicles owner who have had the same problem occurring over time again, as i am right now.

Fuel pump isnt getting any power. has been replaced brand new each time and car just shuts up and stalls wont turn on
I have the 5.7 liter engine. i was advised that the fuel pump relay and the wiring harness were the subject of a recall because it could cause the pump to shut down and the engine would stop running. on 11/17/2016 i took my car to chrysler dodge jeep ram in seattle for an oil change, and they replaced the fuel pump relay and integrated wiring harness. i had not previously had a problem with the engine shutting down. the fuel pump relay they installed in my car was defective, and failed completely about 22 months after it was installed. my car was parked and several times my attempts to start the car were frustrated. the engine would start, but ran very roughly for a second or two before stopping. rairdons chrysler jeep in kirkland charged me $294.28 to diagnose the problem, and advised that it was a defect in the fuel pump relay. on september 25, 2018, rairdons chrysler jeep in kirkland installed a replacement and charged me $282.96, claiming that their information was that the replacement part was installed more than two years previously, and i had to pay for the part and installation because it was only warranted for 2 years. rairdon's is incorrect, the replacement was installed less than 2 years before failing. this seems unfair and improper. the replacement should be subject to the same conditions and terms and safety standards as the car and parts are. i think the diagnosis and replacing the part should not be chargeable to me because the part is subject to a safety recall
We purchased our 2013 dodge durango new in 2013. there are several recalls on the vehicle since it was purchased. in 2015, we received a recall on vehicle may install and cause an accident. the part address was the tipm. after the so called fix, our vehicle never ran properly. the car will run rough, or sluggish. check engine light comes and when i took it to the local shop they said it was oxygen sensors. we replace two but it never totally fix the car. it will not start at times. finally it started stalling. i contacted the dealer the tipm issues and i was told it was fixed and that the vehicle is no longer under warranty. i did an extensive research and all of the complaints on this vehicle pointed to the tipm which it makes sense. i am in the process of purchasing a replacement part but in the meantime i fled a complaint to address the unwilling support from my dodge dealer. i feel that doge failed to properly address this issue.
While driving it will randomly shut off. during initial startup it sounds as though it's out of gas and will not start; sometimes taking up to 9 or 10 attempts for it to crank
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. while driving 80 mph, the vehicle stalled. the contact was able to coast the vehicle to the emergency shoulder lane. the contact was able to restart the vehicle with no further failures. the contact researched the failure and called an independent mechanic who determined that the failure was due to the fuel control relay. the dealer (brubaker chrysler jeep, 1020 lititz ave, lancaster, pa 17602, (717) 299-6541) stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall and recommended a temporary repair. the manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to call nhtsa. the failure mileage was 74,000.
Fuel pump kepts malfunction
Safety recall r09 / nhtsa 15v-115 fuel pump relay - 2012-2013 dodge durango completed on my 2013 durango shortly after notified by chrysler. at or around june 2018 the vehicle started experiencing same symptoms as described in safety recall r09 even after external fuel pump relay was installed. at first, symptoms were intermittent and sporadic, happening every few weeks. as time progressed starter would crank until it timed out without vehicle starting. sometimes vehicle would start but act as if it was running out of gas spitting and sputtering and would have to turn vehicle off to end sputtering. now the vehicle continues to have the above symptoms however they are more often (once or twice a week, and often daily) and have left me stranded several times . have taken vehicle to dealership for diagnosis but no codes and was told "without a trouble code we can't diagnose the vehicle bring it back when it happens again." the no start extended cranking until starter times out and the sputtering all occur stationary during start up.
Fuel pump relay replaced to external position. vehicle now will not start at times, starts and dies. replaced both guel pumps a month ago and still problems. relay is not switching on but tests ut is good.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. the contact stated that the key would turn over in the ignition, but the vehicle failed to start. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer (galeana automotive group, 28400 van dyke ave, warren, mi 48093) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was approximately 42,000.
Vehicle fails to start when stationary. does not start on multiple cranks from push button or remote start no matter what level the gas is at. completely intermittent but occurs weekly. https://www.cars.com/articles/recall-alert-2012-2013-dodge-durango-1420676848895/
While driving at high way speed of 50mph the vechile will stall to 30 then 10mph when at the light this vechile transmission look like it struggling to shift to 2 year and stalls i called the dealership and the said they have the recalls this vechile only has 65000m miles on it and i brought from the chrysler dealership last year certified b prepared.
Takata recall from time to time when starting the 2013 dodge darango v 8 hemi it would just continuously turn over like it was not getting fuel it would not happen all the time but makes it unreliable when its your wife and kids using the car and what makes it a safety issue in my opinion is that the car has also stalled from time to time the car has been to the dealer 2 times now we have a extended warranty but they said they can not repeat the problem very frustrating
Suv will crank but won't start. either the fuel pump relay in the tipm is going bad or the fuel pump is going bad. is their a recall for the tipm if you can reach out to me that would be great. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
My wife along with our 4 children were driving down the expressway when our dodge durango lost all power. all the indicator lights started flashing on the instrument panel. if not for my wife being a safe driver god knows what could've become of my family. car won't turn on says there is no key present. wipers come on and off, ac blows hot air, doors won't unlock, radio turns on and off. it's very upsetting when you think you're buying a quality vehicle only to have it turn out like it did. my wife has expressed that she no longer wants to drive the vehicle as she is scared something like this might happen again.
I traveled about 45 minutes away from my home stopped. got back in to travel back home and the would not crank. the starter engaged but it did not start. after a few minutes it started. after getting home i went to o'reilly's to get the battery check and see if there was any codes. every there check the vehicle would not start. it was the same problem. i received not warning at all this was about to happen.
2013 durango has been intermittently stalling (in motion) and hard- or non-starting(stationary). 62000 miles. towed to dealer and of course they could not reproduce the problem. did a throttle body cleaning at my request. started ok for 2 weeks and is now doing the same again. dangerous situation for my family.
Went to put fuel into the tank and nothing made it in. over 10 gallons of gas spilled on the ground under the suv and then spread across the gas station tarmac before i realized it and shut the pump off. scary situation as it could have ignited causing an explosion and injuries, death, and destruction!! took it into the a dealer and they "found the fuel filler hose to be insufficiently attached to the inlet of the gas tank".
I believe the totally integrated power module is the problem. it will not start sometimes and then will not stay running when it does. cranks and dies, acts like starter just keeps turning over and over after hitting ignition button. we have had this problem for a few weeks and it keeps getting worse. our vehicle year make and module fall within the time frame of a stated recall and the same issues in that recall are happening to our vehicle. it has happened in our driveway, rural and city streets. while at red lights or stalling while in motion or other stopping reasons. please look into this, thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
My car wouldn't start. it was towed to stampede dodge nampa idaho and they diagnosed it to be: failed fuel pumps. i've not had my vehicle for almost a month and its $1500 repair.
Tipm recall issue. i took the vehicle to get the tipm recall. about 900 miles after the repair, the vehicle stalled while i was driving on the freeway. the tipm wire burnt and the fuse blew causing the failure. dodge dealership attempted to fix the problem again.
I purchase my vehicle in 2013 and shortly after recvd several recalls. one recall was repaired in a timely manner, however it took from november 2013 to march 8, 2016 to recv an appointment to complete the additional recalls. shortly before my appointment my engine light illuminated. when i meet my appointment time at nyle maxwell supercenter in austin tx, i informed them of the engine light. after a week, they informed me that not only the countless recalls that need repair that i also needed a part for my transmission. they have no vehicle for me to loan out to me that meets the same needs as my durango and have informed me that they may keep my vehicle for another 30 days..
Three recalls unaddressed for 1+ years. chrysler recall: p14 (nhtsa # 14v-154), p36 (14v-391), r09 (15v-115). dealer and manufacturer claim that they are unable to obtain repair parts to address recall. fca is unable to address a recall active since april 1, 2014. today is nov 7, 2015.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. the contact stated that the vehicle was purchased from a dealer and was not repaired according to any recalls. the contact was informed by the dealer and manufacturer that the vehicle received a recall remedy. the contact was uncertain that the repair was performed and had no recollection of taking the vehicle to the dealer for a manufacturer recall repair on october 20, 2015. the vin and nhtsa campaign number were not available. the contact was not experiencing a failure and was concerned that there may be a defective part in the vehicle.
My 2013 durango rt ( 41000 miles) sometimes have problem with starting engine. after start push bottom is just cranking noise without start engine. or if i use a key remote control to start engine then engine start for 2 seconds and shouts off
I have tried for almost one year to have the fuel pump relay safety recall done and each time the dealer states they do not have the part in stock and to keep calling them back.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. while the vehicle was parked, it failed to start and the engine warning light illuminated. the failure recurred on numerous occasions. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump relay needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v115000 (electrical system); however, the part needed to repair the vehicle was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 65,000.
The engine cranks but will not start and has a hesitation/lack of power on acceleration.
My vehicle began having trouble in late february 2015 with turning over at the first start of the day. since that time, the problem has continued, but more frequently and worse than each previous time. i contacted the dealership where i purchased the vehicle, prestige dodge, on two occasions to have the problem looked at and on the second occasion i was told by the dealership that the issue is related to a recall with the fuel pump relay and that a recall on the part was forthcoming, but there is no way for the issue to be remedied, since parts have not been issued by chrysler. i also contacted chrysler and was told that there is nothing they can do to assist in correcting the issue including repairing, providing a rental vehicle, etc. and that i will just need to wait until the car will not run any longer, have it towed and then pay for a rental vehicle out of my pocket until they issue parts for the recall. at that time there was not an estimated time for parts to be issued and there still is not. now, i receive an "interim" notice of "important safety recall" for the "fuel pump relay" that states that the issue could cause my vehicle could operate intermittently or "fail without warning," and ultimately "cause the engine to stall while driving and cause a crash without warning." *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. while driving approximately 35 mph, the fuel cap warning indicator illuminated continuously. the failure recurred on a daily basis. the dealer diagnosed that the vehicle needed a new fuel cap. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was 37,500. updated 01/12/15*lj updated 10/5/2015*js
april 2014 noticed loud sound and no brakes after going through carwash. shortly after i received the first recall on the brake line. phoned dealership but was told i was on a list and should be available july 2014. i've called several times but still not gotten the call to get my car in. had to take the car into the dealership for water pump - at that time the service manager looked at my brakes and told me i definitely had a problem and would move me to front of the list. still no calls. since that time i've received several more safety recalls on my vehicle but am never able to get an appointment. i've asked since i have to leave the car to get a rental at their expense. they refused. i work 40 to 50 miles out of town and this is the only vehicle i have. i'm already being put out having to take the vehicle in why should i also have to bare the expense of a rental car as well. it has now been well over a year, my breaks are still bad. i panic every time it rains. my vehicle has recently started causing problems on starting up - it won't completely turn over - but it just keeps steadily trying - it won't let me cut it off and it's like its flooding itself. i now have a large stack of recalls on my vehicle and no one will help me. i'm not happy with dodge and the lack of concern for my safety. i'm paying a car note for something that isn't safe to drive.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled upon using the push button start on several occasions. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer twice. it was first diagnosed that the fuel pump relay needed to be replaced, but the failure continued. the contact indicated that a three step process needed to be completed to ensure the vehicle started and it still stalled intermittently. the vehicle was taken back to the authorized dealer who reprogrammed the computer from the first repair. the vehicle continued to exhibit an intermittent failure with the push button start feature. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 24,000.
1. owned car since jan 2013. leather started cracking immediately. took into dealership and they said i had to get fixed. went back to shop for something else and mentioned the cracking again and was told i could have gotten fixed but my coverage had expired. the cracking is really bad on the armrest in car. have been over to dealership and called regarding the recall i have. it is always on backorder and someone will call when in. i have not received a call and i see this is a serious recall. is this really important to the dealership that these recalls gets repaired. i would like to get this repaired immediately as well as my cracking leather which has been overlooked.
