The FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
2013 Dodge Durango

Upon driving the vehicle over a small bridge, including on and declining off, then over another hill the vehicle stalled and lost power. we were able to coast the vehicle to a stop. i popped the hood and it had an electrical burning smell but couldn't locate the source. i was able to restart the vehicle and proceeded to our destination. upon returning home the vehicle seemed to have less power. again i checked under the hood and had the same smell. i checked on this website for a recall and it said there were none for this vin number. i checked the model year and there has been several with stalling/electrical issues. the recall numbers are as follows: 17v435000, 15v115000,14v634000. we have had this vehicle in before for recalls, unsure if these were part of those recalls. we will be contacting the dealership tomorrow. your form wont let me select the engine and powertrain as parts affected. *tr

When filling the gas tank a large amount of gasoline spits out after the fuel nozzle clicks off. i first thought is was a defect with the fuel nozzle. but it continues to happen each time i fill up. this is very dangerous and could cause serious injury or death in the event of a fire or explosion. there are several videos on ytube which clearly show this problem. when this occurs the vehicle is stopped at the service station with the engine and ignition is off. i have researched and found the chrysler has a recall on this problem but vin is not included. the recall should include all vehicles that have this problem. pleas advise on what can be done to get chrysler to rectify this dangerous problem at their expense. thank you. this problem first occurred in november 2016 and has continued each time i fill up. *tr

The FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
2012 Dodge Durango

My 2012 dodge durango was part of the nhtsa campaign number 15v115000. the vehicle was brought in for the replacement part in september of 2015. the repair temporarily fixed the issue. over the last 4 months the vehicle has had many issues with starting and/or staying on and has been towed to a repair shop when it would no longer start. there was a loose wire found for the external replacement part installed as the recall. the vehicle then ran normally for a week before it started to show issues with starting and staying engaged. the problem quickly escalated with the vehicle stalling out almost daily upon being started and sometimes the issue could only be resolved by the external fuel kit relay module being tapped. today, 11/02/16 the vehicle stalled while driving down the road, luckily it was in a school zone with little traffic so any possibly accidents were avoided. an hour later the vehicle started acting as if losing fuel pressure while turning and the gas pedal had to be pushed to the floor to stabilize the vehicle. the local dodge/chrysler dealership has been contacted several times while this issue has persisted and we were advised ...
