My wife was driving down the road probably about 40 or 45 mph when she heard a loud pop and the car began to handle weird and making all kinds of noise. she got it to a nearby parking lot where i met her to look at it. at first glance i could not find anything wrong except for the exhaust appeared to be broke so i had her drive it home since she was only a mile from the house. when i got it home upon further inspection i found that the rear subframe for the rearend had ripped out of the unibody frame. there cracks and rust in the frame. the vehicle has been at the dodge dealer for the last month and half and dodge is refusing to take fault for the manufacturing defect. insurance has also refused to pay for it as there was no signs of an impact. i am looking at a 6000 dollar or more repair for a 12,000 dollar car that still has over 10,000 owed on it. i'm at a loss as to what do with the situation. the dealership has also said that there's nothing more they can do for ...

Durango r/t hemi awd towing package. noticed rattle, clunking on rear passenger side, as well as increased body roll and rear end sway/road walk on road patches, road surface to bridge transitions, etc. leading to a steering correction on steering wheel. very noticeable at highway speeds. made appt. for dealer inspection/repair. dealer diagnosed as bad rear strut, ordered new struts for both rear sides and sent me home. i have been waiting almost 4 weeks now, dealer just tells me "138+ struts are on back order, no eta for the parts. opened an incident with fca customer service over a week ago, all they are doing is sending me a daily email or vmail saying they are working on getting me the part, no eta. meanwhile the ride continues to deteriorate.

I have a 2017 durango, the rear shock are bad on it, the vehicle only has 26500 on it. dodge currently has 200+ of these shocks on back order. with the shocks being bad if i go over a small bump it causes the back end of the vehicle to get loose and you almost lose control of the vehicle. i've looked at several dodge durango forums and this seem like a common issue with them. i've contacts dodge all they tell me is they are working on making replacement parts. i'm not driving it currently because i am concerned about loosing control of the vehicle because of this issue. i have been waiting about a month of replacement parts and it's going to be a few more weeks before they hopefully have the parts. also looking at the dodge forums some people have had 3+ set of shocks put in there vehicle with the same result. it does not seem like dodge is taking this issue seriously and i would hate for someone to get hurt or killed because of this issue.

2001 Dodge Durango

While i love my 2001 dodge durango rt, there are a couple of serious problems / safety issues the vehicle has. number one is the passenger front seat is very loose and rocks back and forth during acceleration and braking which could cause severe injuries if the vehicle was in a wreck, whiplash etc. in doing my research the average fix that the dealers will do costs between 600-800.00 which is to replace the motor assembly. there are links on various forum for instructions to fix yourself for about 40.00 orovoodmg a better fix that the dealers will not provide, but it is complicated and very labor intensive. my number one concern is to be safe and have safe passengers! to be able to bring this into dodge and get this permanently fixed at no cost to me. there are untold amounts of dodge durango owners out there with this same issue, which dodge currently will not recall. the other two issues are incredibly defective ball joints. since dodge recalled these trucks for the ball joints many including mine previous to me buying it, we're brought in for recall repair in 2006. please note the suspension components ...
