Problems with 2015 Dodge Dart ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

While my vehicle was in motion, it completely died while in the middle of an intersection and had a very difficult time getting it started again.

Battery light comes on. recall for shifter was fixed, but the fuse box is now burnt. it's is a special part. i think that there is a correlation between the recall then part is inter the battery and near fuse box,

While driving with the cruise control on the car will jerk, the cruise control will turn off and the dash will light up saying electric brake service, i have a video of the panel if needed, also the car will not always start when the clutch is depressed, traction control also lights up for no reason, this has been ongoing since oct, 3 2019

The right window no longer works as well as the driver side window. the trunk is also not wanting to open. key gets stuck in ignition every time i try and turn the car off. shift cables also broke, i was just getting home when it happened i heard something snap but didn't think much then i parked and tried to drive off again and the car wouldn't shift to drive i could move the stick.back and forth still,had it replaced a couple of days later they said the whole rod had come out and shot into something else in the vehicle had shift fixed. also had motor mouths fixed the mouths became loss within a couple of days now i believe the ac compressor is messing up ac kicks on but no air comes out, but it only happens once in a while car also stays cold for a long while and makes a weird clicking noise when i start it up. also smells like oil. passage seat also is stuck. this all happened within 2years ive had the vehicle.

When i'm driving, my car has completely lost power and wouldn't move. the battery light comes on, although i have a brand new battery that i got a year ago, and when i turn the car completely off to restart it, it will not turn back on. i found a recall and had the recall fixed and it is now worse with shifting than it was before, and it's still stalling and losing complete power. this is a huge safety risk as it can cause an accident or death, if this were to happen while driving on the highway or turning at an intersection. fortunately enough, i was at the end of my street, stopped at a stop sign and went to drive again and that's when it lost power.

Car dropped out of gear in the middle of the highway during rush hour traffic. it was terrifying i was almost rear ended but was luckily able to get off the road safely. dropped speed and there was no acceleration.

My car switches gears while the car is in motion. it also takes a long time for the key to be released from the ignition when the car is in park. a glitch in the electrical system causes my lights to go dim or completely turn off while i am driving.

Transmission control module caused vehicle to surge forward without warning. car eventually just stopped working and had to be towed to dealership, where they are having trouble locating the exact cause of the electrical trouble, but have narrowed down to the tcm, ecm, and/pcm. car only has 70359 miles on it, and the dealership is saying it may need to be completely rewired and programmed.

Evert 2 minutes the media console turns bright white, then shuts off, then reboots. when driving at night the light from the console is blinding. even if you turn off the screen, it will reboot every 2 minutes. it does this all the time, parked, or driving.

My car shuts off while driving at almost any speed; at times when i hit a hard bump, or make hard turns, and even when idling at times as well. rpms shoot to zero and the engine shuts off leaving you only able to steer...i've had it in the shop at least twice for the issue since the first time it happened and each time whatever it is seems to be fixed until a few weeks/months later when it ends up happening again. the latest time was 04/08/19 on my way to work in the morning when i was merging onto the expressway; at about 40mph the car stalled and this happened 3 more times before i was able to make it to work.

I first started experiencing problems with my car in 2017 my car would overheat and shut off on me in the middle of the road. i took it into a dodge dealership and they said it was my battery after that i had them change the battery. after maybe a day i went to work and the car shut off on me again. i then got an oil change and the car worked good for a few months until i came upon the problem again the car shut off on me in the middle of the highway. i always thought it was the oil because when it happens i change my oil and the car is fine after. i changed my oil recently and my car is still experiencing electrical problems the battery light turns on and it is a hassle to turn the car back on. i have read a lot of complaints on people who have the same car as me it is a big safety hazard to be stuck in the middle of the road i am not satisfied with my car especially since i keep up with the vehicle maintenance and it only has around 40,000 miles on it. *tr

Issue with the wiring harness that connects the engine computer. burns through alternators and batteries

My car shut off on its own while i was driving to work, so we were in motion. it has now happened 4 times to me in a span of 3 weeks. i can either be driving during the day or night. it will happen in the middle of driving or when i come to a stop sign and adding pressure to the brake. once it happens, and if i put it in park as well, the stick shift will lock up as well. again this has now happened 4 times to me while driving and coming to a stop.

Car is stalling and cutting off while driving. got an oil change. car doesn't react to pushing on accelerator. rpm rev after hesitating with foot on the gas. car is shaking and running really hard. i believe its the transmission control module, which is common in dodge darts. its been recalled, but not on my model. stalled in the middle of an intersection. had to restart car 3 times.

I've replaced my battery twice since purchase in may. something is draining the battery and i've even experienced driving on the highway and all my dash lights start blinking until the car cuts off and i have to restart it to get to my destination; and then take it the auto parts store to have them recharge it.

Dart recall i brought the dart in to do a reflash for my car to stop the harsh idle, choke and knock .also that the car shuts off from a rolling stop to acceleration after the reflash 2 days later the car continues to have the same problems several weeks later today 11/17/18 the car shut off as usual but in a intersection had to turn on the car and hope when putting it in drive the engine doesn't shutoff again in cold weather the vehicle has a knocking grind sound and occasionally will turn off if the idle drops low to 500 and then immediately applying little gas and the warm weather comes by or after first driven the grinding noise is gone but same issue when the idle drops to low the engine just does and battery light turns on the battery is good but this issue hasn't been fixed and when i went the said it's normal but they did a reflash

Dart recall.....bought the car at 22500 miles and now at 46000 the car stutters and chokes in the cold rough idle and knocking sound coming from engine and the idle goes up and drops at high stops and will shut off the car when slowing down knock sound is heard once driven more the once the knocking goes but the stall at fast stops still happens when purchased wasn't informed recall was put on the car or various other darts

Dodge dart recall ....pcm is acting up needs to be refreshed engine is choking in cold weather and will shut off at a sudden stop in dangerous situations engine revs are completely random but will drive normally once driven 4 times and engine is kept warm but braking suddenly or swerving away suddenly shuts off the car

Battery needs to be replaced about every 6 months due to something draining the battery but nothing has been found. electrical is all messed up, the computer system malfunctions. when car is turned on at randomly the air and music will go full blast and it cannot be turned down or shut off. mechanically the car is running fine but the temperature gauge moves up and down while driving and while sitting still due to electrical issues. when driving on normal backroads or highways there is a loud clunking noise coming from the engine area and nothing has been found as to why it makes the noise.

Driving car normally. i parked in a parking lot and went into a store. when i came out to start the car it would not start. charging indicator light and check engine light came on. auto zone was in the plaza so i had the guy come out and do a diagnostic. codes were p0123, p2122, p2127, p0222, u0401. when the guy went back into the store the car started. when i parked again 10 minutes later the check engine and charge light disappeared. car ran fine for one day. about 33 hours after that incident i parked the car at a park for lunch from work. took a walk and when i returned car never came on. dash was flickering, all lights illuminated, mileage was flashing, gauges were flickering, car would not turn over. acted as if battery was dead. had to walk back to work and have car towed by aaa after work. car has been sitting for 4 days and will not turn on. new messages came up: check electric braking system, check air bags, service tire pressure system and check anti lock brakes system. the tire light is on me because a sensor in the passenger tire broke when i got a flat hitting a curb while parking. i replaced the tire but not the sensor. also now the uconnect and radio not coming on and battery light comes on, and when i made attempt to start a message came up stating engine warming up??? that was weird. this all happened all of a sudden within a two day span. now i am stuck paying for a car i cant drive that is going crazy electronically.

Driving on the open road the car looses power, can't steer can't accelerate. very dangerous when traveling at 70 mph even at 35 thru the city. i have noticed online of all the complaints and dodge just says i don't know what to tell you. this needs to be fixed as some one will die driving these cars in this condition!! read were numerous people have been involved in accidents because of this. happens more when turning in my case.

The headlights have been intermittent since i purchased the car, i ended up having to have both ballasts and bulbs replaced, still experiencing this issue intermittently. it is not something that is a recall or covered under any warranty past 40,000 this car has 50,000 and i'm already going to have a computer module replaced as it controls the headlights this will not be a cheap repair. this should be a recall as many dart owners are experiencing this issue. the fog lights are the only forward facing lights i have that work at times, stationary or moving, other times it's one or the other,

Car randomly shuts off while driving. with no warning, unsafe and could cause accidents.

The trunk goes crazy popping open over and over and the only way to close it and to keep it shut is to have your car in drive or reverse with the emergency brake set which is not safe at all especially with children in the car!

There seems to be issue with dodge, chrysler vehicles where car shuts off while driving. this has happened with my dad chrysler 300, my mom dodge durango and now my dodge dart and it appears it is the alternator killing the battery. it is dangerous to put my car on the road as it can shut off any given time and no one can seem to figure out the issue.

My dodge dart has been having issues for a couple weeks. it will start jerking like you're driving a standard and don't know how to drive it. the abs light, traction control light, check engine light and a couple other lights will all come on. when it does this there are times that you can press the had pedal all the way to the floor and it does nothing. then the car started saying to check the transmission and when you shifted into certain gears it would say the gear was unavailable and you need to shift to drive or reverse. after troubleshooting i found that my fuse box, next to my battery, looks like several of the fuses have caught on fire. i don't know how the car hasn't gone up in flames. aren't fuses supposed to break when something like this hastens

When i drive and brake the car cuts off and the steering wheel locks and its hard to start back up im in the middle of the street

I have a 2015 dodge dart se and its been nothing but issues! in 2016 i was on the highway going 65mph and all sudden my [xxx] car shut off completely! i had to immediately turn it back on and shift into 4th gear because my car started slowing down while and i had to pull over! im so sick of this model and after reading about others having the same issues its just ridiculous and dangerous! i got it checked and they said everything looked okay and they didn't find any issues. so cars just turn off by themselves while driving for no reason?! fast forward to 2017, the engine light comes on for the first time and i take it to a dodge dealership in killeen tx and i find out it was the thermostat and they told me there was nothing wrong and that i could drive to alaska and back with no issues. so i leave and a day later the engine light is gone like it was never there. and here it is 2018 and the [xxx] engine light is back on again. i take it to firestone on base and guess what the [xxx] they tell me?! you guessed right! the [xxx] thermostat. at this point i'm just pissed and frustrated and they tell me i'm looking at a $500 fix and that this is a common issue with the dodge dart! why was i not told this when the car was purchased! oh and it gets better. on 25march2018 i was on the highway going about 60mph and you won't believe what happened....ding ding ding right again! my [xxx] piece of [xxx] dodge dart turns the [xxx] off! i don't know if there's a [xxx] recall or not but i know i'm not the only dodge dart owner who is having this issue and i should've been told about these dangerous ass problems before i poured my hard earned money into a [xxx] deathtrap. i'm calling the dealership tomorrow to figure out what the [xxx] needs to happen. i'm not trying to die let alone have my babies in the [xxx] car and something happen. do not purchase any dodge darts if you want to live! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

My car stalls frequently and the stereo system and everything powers down. it does it when driving as well. it also smells like wires are burning when this happens.

Takata recall i was driving on a city street and the car rpm revved up like i put it into neutral and a few lights came on the dash then the whole car shut off i had to fight to get the car to the side of the road bc o lost power steering and the care would crank back up i took this to the dealership in weiden germany and they said they rest the computer

Tpms system failure (multiple times) i have had my tpms system repaired three times since i have owned my vehicle and it never fails that it stops working again shortly after getting it fixed. i have no idea if this is considered a safety issue but it could be for some people that don't pay attention to their tires. the right cv axle has also gone out of my car at approximately 70,000 miles. this item was covered by warranty but other friends that own darts have mentioned having the same problem. it created a bad popping noise and made going over bumps slightly unstable. transmission shift cable -- this is active recall on my vehicle but figured i would include the information.

This car suddenly stalls and die now all the time even while driving in highway, took it to manufacture dealership they made diognostic saying nothing wrong but, the problem was never resolve. searching the web i notice that a lot of people been having same issues as mine which is very dangerous. thank you

I have driven my 2015 dodge dart without issue till 2/15/17. it died in the middle of my wife driving the interstate on i40. the following day it died and my father in law had to jump the vehicle off to get it going. today, (2/17/17), i decided to drive the car to work because my commute is shorter and much less dangerous. i pulled out of my drive way and drove to the end of the road till i got to the main street in our hometown, and it died thankfully before i got on that street. the car just completely stops. steering wheel locks. all electronics in vehicle stop. braking is slightly delayed. i took it to the dodge dealership in town and they said to check the oil. we did and had them change it. my main concern is highway driving where people drive 60+ mph and not being able to steer into the shoulder.

My car keeps cutting off while i'm driving. the batter light comes on without any warning. after the batter light comes on the only thing i can do is steer, the car starts to slow down, i can't excel at all, raido and all lights cut off as well. once the car comes to a complete stop, i'll start it back up sometimes it'll start right back up, or i'll have to hold the key down a few seconds for it to start. the car have stopped on me while driving move than 5 times. i took it to the dealership where i purchased the car and the first few time they said after they ran all of the test they couldn't get the vehicle to duplicate the problem. another time they asked could they keep the vehicle over night and have a mechanic drive the car home and back to work. the next day when i went to go pick up my vehicle they said they kinda-sorta got the car to duplicate the problem those were there exact words. then they put a monitor in my car they told me to press the button while i was driving if the car was to go out so they can record the problem. the monitor was in my car for about a month and my car didn't duplicate the problem. a few weeks after they took the monitor out my car cut off on me again and took it back to the shop and they ran the same test and they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it. another time my car went off i toom it back to the shop and it just so happened that my car was halfway empty on oil and they're telling me that my car is cutting off because it needs oil and they were going to monitor the oil. so they sent me back on the road and told me to come back when my car got to a certain amount of miles they had wrote down , when my car got to that amount of miles that they have wrote down i took my car back to the dealership and i told him to tell me if i needed an oil change and they told me i didnt. the car cut off when i was on the highway and on th

On two separate occasions, my car randomly cut off while i was driving through my complex and flashed the battery light. i had the battery checked & was told it's good. i had an appointment with a mechanic in my warranty network, they referred me to the dealership. when i called the dealership told me there is nothing they can tell me until the check engine light comes on. when i filed a complaint with the car dealership, they told me that there is nothing they can do without a diagnosis. so, now i know there is a problem with my car randomly stalling, but nothing i can do about it until a check engine light comes on or it randomly stops at the most inopportune time and someone crashes into me and potentially kills me. *tr

Nov 2016, loss of power while driving, went into neutral, would start a few minutes later, but loss of power again. took to dealership & they replaced the engine. feb 2017 key stopped working, changed battery still didn't work, changed it again & it worked. april 6, 2017 loss of power completed died, i could not jump it, could not lock my doors, could not do anything. picked up car from dealership on april 10, they said that they changed the battery. while still there picking up my car, my blinker lights blew out, notification on the screen says right & left blinker light out. they switched out the bulbs. got it home & notification said low beam lights out. the next morning had no lights. taking to the dealership again tomorrow. i am forcing them to look at the electrical system i am close to my 36000 mile warranty.
