My daughter could not get the car to stop, as she was engaging the break to the floor. she is unsure if when she turned cruise control was set, but either way the brake should have turned it off. then when the pole was hit, all the airbags went off except the passenger lower airbag. i was the passenger and i have a hurt ankle, knee, and hip. why would all airbags go off except one if the impact was directly in the front of the car? the vehicle was turning when she noticed it would not slow down.
The vehicle is indicating that the airbag system needs to be serviced. the car is 3 years old with 34k miles. there are recalls on the 2011-2015 dodge chargers for the airbag system and the dealership (stealership) is telling me that they the repair is not covered.
The harness in the passenger seat airbag burned up and had to be replaced.
Tl* the contact's son owns a 2009 dodge charger. while driving approximately 30 mph in the rain, the contact's son crashed into a fallen tree in the road. the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged. the air bags deployed. a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed. the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. the driver of the vehicle sustained head injuries, but no medical attention was received. there were two other occupants in the vehicle who did not sustain any injuries. in addition, there were live power lights on the road. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 68224987. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags), however, the recall repair was not completed. the approximate failure mileage was 94,000.
Had the air bag recall fixed but yet the air bag light still comes on all the time and and out of no where my car fills like the transmission is bout to go out it jerks when you press on the gas country roads and when stop it idles like it's trying to stall out

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 dodge charger. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated and he was concerned for the safety of his family and himself. the contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags) and took the vehicle to fremont chrysler dodge jeep ram (39639 balentine dr, ca 94560, (510) 279-4588) to be repaired. after the repair was completed, the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. the dealer did not repair the air bag warning failure. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 98,199. the vin was invalid.
Takata recall recall information was never sent so i could get it repaired. i just happened to search online for any open recalls for the car.
