My 2014 dodge challenger dies when i'm driving it. the most recent was when i was driving downhill on a winding mountain road. it died, and there was no place to get off the road. when it dies, the lights, power steering and power brakes all quit. very dangerous!!! the dealer could find nothing wrong. there are many complaints about this on the internet, and dodge is doing nothing to fix this. like me, others have taken their cars to dealers, and they find nothing wrong. something is very wrong! dodge needs to get busy and fix this most dangerous defect before someone gets seriously injured or killed. *js
I have experienced numerous breathing difficulties, i suspect have been caused by the air blowing out the vehicles ventilation system... i regularly develop chest pain in my breast area and migraine headaches after being in the vehicle for an extended period. i have reason to believe that the vehicle had been tampered with prior to my purchase . i've recently discovered false information related to the ownership of the car, through a carfax search
The smart glass will cycle up and down 1/4 inch, while the ignition is off. this is happening on both the driver and passenger doors, causing the windows to go up and down which then causes the battery to drain while parked overnight. there was a 2011-12 dodge challenger smart glass technical service bulletin put out for older models, which replaced the door latches causing this issue. however, it is still an issue in my 2013 challenger. dodge knew of this issue and still installed the same parts in later models. they should do the right thing, and issue a recall or tsb, and take care of this issue for their customers!
Tl* the contact owns 2012 dodge challenger. the contact stated while driving at approximately 10 mph the vehicle started to emit smoke out of the cigarette lighter with a dime lodged in the hole. the contact was able to pull the vehicle over safely to attempt to extinguish the fire. within a few minutes the vehicle engulfed in flames, the contact attempted to pour soda on the flames along with a fire extinguisher to no avail. however the fire department was able to put out the flames. a fire report was not taken. the vehicle was towed to the contacts home the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or local mechanic for diagnosis or repairs. the manufacturer was not made aware of this incident. the approximate failure mileage was 200,000 *tp *dt
The windows in my 2015 challenger is going up and down by themselves, gets stuck, and then won't go back up. also the engine coils in my car burnt out and was leaking oil all through my car. when i got it fixed, the old coils were from the manufacture and had a broken seal. was told that my car should've caught on fire with the amount of oil that was leaking.
I was driving my car like normal for the past 2/12 years. it's a 2013 challenger 5.70. my car went dead while driving. i lost control of the car, but, thank god i didn't hit anything or anyone. i ran tests on my car battery, it's good. interesting note: i had the alternator replace six months ago on a factory recall. the dodge dealer told me it's not the alternator, though replaced it anyway. they said it's the power steering pump and electric problem due to a wire not communicating to the bus or computer. (don't know what that means i'm not a car guy) however, i also own a 2006 chrysler 300 that did the same thing to me on the freeway while i was driving 70 mph. could have died both times.at this point, i don't know it dodge is simply making cheap parts or dodge service is trying to turn a 2nd alternator replacement into a profit. i say this because i was able to disconnect the batter, then reconnect it to pull forward on the tow truck now they are telling me the car dies when they reassemble it. i also say this because ...
The fuses that run to both my left and right headlights keep getting burnt out .they burnt out when i turned the car on .
Unfair monetary harm to customers due to defective part. same issue as many have mentioned on here with driver's side window repeatedly going up and down without stopping while stationary with car off, which drains the battery and you can't stop it. my 2013 challenger had a bad window latch, causing the battery to die (left stranded). had to pay $300 out of pocket for dealer to replace latch for 'smart glass' that isn't necessary. recall already issued on the 2011s, yet recalls haven't been issued for newer models despite same problems. i'm thankful for nhtsa and hoping dodge is held accountable.
The window has smart glass. there is a sensor in the door which allows the window to automatically slide up or down about 1\4 of an inch so the door closes completely. about 4 days ago the window began sliding up and down on its own after turning the car off. i thought maybe it was acting up due to an old battery so i bought a new one but the window still slides up and down on its own constantly but only when the car is off. i have to leave the window rolled down a few inches to make it stop. i have read reviews where other people have had the same problem with some older models and even after replacing their window sensor the same problem still continued.
I brought my car 8 months ago and the delalership never told me about any of the four recalls i never received any papers in the mail concerning the recalls and that puts me and my children at risk everyday it's a scary feeling i also hit a tree that was in the middle of the street my steering g wheel was hard to control and my breaks as well
