Popping / creaking noise coming from left and right b-pillars when vehicle accelerates from a stop. possible body flexing noise.
Both sliding doors will automatically and inadvertently reopen immediately after closing. this happens when the vehicle is turned off or in park.
Came to full stop at a light on a 2 lane highway. there was no one in front of me and one care behind. almost immediately after stopping for the light, the engine stopped, the transmission indicator light flashed the light under "d" and the gauge cluster flashed multiple lights. i can only remember seeing fwc or fcw flashing but there were other lights. auto start/stop was not disabled so i was initially not surprised by the engine stopping at a light. to restart, i had to place transmission back in "p", hold the brake and push the ignition. i then, despite having our seat belts on, had to disengage the parking brake by pushing the button. this usually happens automatically when the vehicle is placed in "d". once we returned home, the driver's side power sliding door would not operate. we had to open it manually to get my son out. the passenger's side worked like it should. both these things have happened to my wife (the primary driver) several times and reported to the dealership. they have been unable to replicate the problem or fix it.
The bottom chassis is rotted under the motor near front wheels causing unsafe driving for my family
The frame has rusted through. the engine cradle is rusted. chrysler admits there is a problem but refuses to do anything about it. chrysler had a recall for this issue and then cancelled the recall. there was also a lawsuit filed, that was dismissed due to chrysler's bankruptcy.
Found out that my front sub frame/engine cradle is badly corroded and full of holes after having my tires changed.
This morning i entered the car with a passenger and neither front door would latch shut. the door would register to the car as closed when pulled shut, but it would not physically latch. the car was turned on and off, the doors were locked and unlocked, and the door was repeatedly opened and shut, and it still wouldn't latch. after about 4-5 minutes, the driver door successfully latched. another 5-10 minutes was required on the passenger door before it suddenly started latching. there was no obvious maneuver that proceeded the proper functioning of the latch. weather conditions were 23f this morning and dry. it was damp the night before and the temperature was above freezing, but did not rain overnight. car was garaged indoors the day before but left outside in the driveway overnight. there was a slight sound of frost giving way when the door was first opened this morning, but no ice buildup.
