Air bags lights comes on indicating that there is a problem with the passenger seat. it has only came on after i have had a passenger in the passenger seat and on my instrument panel there's a red warning light that that air bag is not operational according to the dealership at jeff wyler east gate in batavia ohio 45102 513-7523447. i also had to put the same 200 s in the shop for a massive oil leak that once i noticed it and then had it checked by a chrysler service advisor there was no oil in the 3.6 l engine and i was told it was a common issue with the 3.6l engine that there was a tsb or something on it so i dropped it of at the above mentioned location to find out my warranty would cover the problem that it was the oil cooler cracked and i would have to pay the $200 lifetime warranty i had on the car. the other issue was there's a engine light on that indicated that the cooling system was malfunctioning which i had mentioned to the dealer when i bought the car or the sweet bungent odor ...

The sensor that is under the passenger seat, signalling that an individual is sitting in the seat, has needed to be replaced by the dealership twice now as a connection becomes loose and will dis-attach. this will alert my car to service airbags

Airbag light keeps coming on. bought the car used from a dealership in june 2019. vin # is not on a recall list for takata airbags. the car is at college, out of state, with my granddaughter. the local chrysler dealership in her area will not fix the airbag problem for free because the vin # is not on a recall list. i'm at a loss since the cost of repair is high. i live on social security & she is going to school on scholarships. does she have to be involved in an accident and possibly be hurt before chrysler will repair the airbag problem-free? the description for this problem says the airbag may not deploy if there is an accident. how do i know if the car should be on a recall list? this is not the first time the light has come on. the car has been in motion, on a city street and on the highway when the problem occurs. the latest occurrence was on or about the date listed below and the airbag light is still on.

While stationary the car steering wheel shakes really bad. while in motion the car jerks. without pushing on break. the car takes a long time to get a little speed you have to mash the gas peddle. the air bag light stays on

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the "air bag needs servicing" warning message was illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the wiring to the air bags needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 86,000.

My car was working perfectly fine until i left work today. my check engine light came on as soon as i started my car and it kept saying 'check parking brake' and 'check airbags' i couldn't put my car in drive or reverse, it wouldn't go anywhere. possibly because the parking brake wouldn't let me drive. very strange, as it was sudden and unexpected.... have never had a problem with parking brake or airbags.

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 chrysler 200. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 15 mph, another vehicle coming out of an alleyway crashed into the contacts vehicle. the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged. none of the frontal air bags deployed. as a result, the contact struck his head on the steering wheel and was unconscious. the police was present and a report number: 2019077493 was filed. the vehicle was not towed but was driven to the residence. the contact was taken to the hospital by ambulance where he was treated for his head bleeding and head concussion. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnostic. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 54,000. *dt*jb

After having the front passenger seat wiring harness replaced, the service air bag notification is once again reoccurring on this vehicle. the code is again indicating an issue with the passenger seat wiring. this problem appears to be quite common with 2015/2016 chrysler 200s!

Crashed into vehicle in front of me due to not being able to stop in time while traveling 25-30 mph, possibly faster. front end completely crumpled and vehicle was considered total loss. airbags did not deploy at all.

As i have owened the car for over a year now, have not had any issues besides the airbag light coming on. this happened today as my wife was taking my son to daycare. this is an issue i have seen among theese cars and needs to be addressed. i have a 1 year old and i would be sueing if he were to get injured by the system caused from poor manufacturing. please have this issue fixed.

Takata recall for about a week now my "service airbag system" light has been coming on and off inconsistently. it first came on on 5/15/2019. this was when i was driving about 30 mph. after i turned my vehicle off and turned it back on the light did not return. now the light has been popping up every now and then, usually when i slow down or stop my car completely. i do not have any passengers that drive in my vehicle, only little ones that ride in the back seat. i do not have items that sit in the front passenger seat either. after researching there was a airbag recall on prior models not sure if this could be related. since the first incident now every time i drive my car (which has been almost every day since) the light has been on. please advise

Poor connection at harness under passenger seat, service air bag system warning comes on and to fix issue i must disconnect the airbag wiring harness under the passenger seat, add some dielectric grease and reconnect. this must be done every 3 months.

Tamara recall i was hit in the front and side drivers and not one of my air bags went off from the impact. i was forced by the other car into a curb. lights would flicker constantly even after battery was changed twice. from the cause of the accident i have had major injuries sustained.

Engine was rebuilt/parts replaced within 6 weeks of owing the vehicle. vehicle was returned again for sudden shock when exceeding 45 mph while driving. today 3/20/19 was informed airbag is defective but not covered under warranty. vehicle is skipping again at 45+ mph

Service airbag light on. apparently a common issue per search on internet. since airbags are a safety issue, is there a reason this has not been recalled? poorly designed harness under seats allows for wires to be easily damaged or become loose from moving seat or being bumped by backseat passengers. received estimate to repair in excess of $2800.00.
