Car will stall and will indicate on the dash to shift into park while the d flashs on both the dash and on the gear selector. once the car is in park and i try to restart the car it sounds like it tries to start and times out and i have to try again.

When coming to a stop or accelerating from a complete stop either turning or straight, the engine stalls without warning & there is no power steering or momentum to safely pull over. i have been stuck with hazards on at neighborhood stop signs, in stopped traffic after the light turns green, freeway on ramps, in the center of small & large intersections blocking traffic, on railroad tracks, & more. it can take up to 3 tries for the engine to restart. obviously this is extremely unsafe, & i do not believe that i should be stuck in an intersection because a newer car with such low miles dies every day, often several times a day. in addition, the transmission is very jerky & the engine does not run smoothly once it restarts. that also happens occasionally upon the first start of the day. i do not understand why my vehicle was not included in the recall for this exact issue. i do have videos of this, but can not upload them. the date below is the date of one of the videos, this problem occurs daily & has been for several weeks. after purchasing the car, there were a few incidents months apart, then it became more frequent, & for the last several weeks it is a daily occurrence.
My husband got was leaving work today 6/12/19 and pull out from his job to enter traffic but once he was straight in the lane the car began to slow down so he had to pull into a gas station to try and get back started which took about 5 mins of the car winding before it started. so when he got home i had to take my daughter to summer camp and as soon as i made a right turn onto the street and acceralted the car began to shut down again and took about 15 mins in a highly traffic area before it restarted but now the air bag light is stuck on and a warning engine wait light also came on before the car started
My oil was recently changed 2/28/2019, the oil is 3 months old and i've only drive 2,133 miles since. my car takes full synthetic oil and should last for 6,000 miles. i checked it today 6/12/2019 and my car tells me i have 66% left and i do not i need to get a oil changed even before hitting 3,000 miles because there is none left. i have had this issue happen 3/4 times within the last year and a half and i've only had the car for 2 years. a few months back i got this checked out by my mechanic and even a second mechanic, he told me that the pistons rings on my car are bad and is causing excessive oil consumption, there is no leak etc. so my car constantly runs out of oil before its time to change it and is causing my car to cut off in the middle of driving. my mechanic advised me to report this problem and either change the oil every 3,000 miles or get rid of the car. it is dangerous for the car to continuously cut off while driving it. so i am reporting this problem i've had for the past year and a half with hopes for a solution

First problem: the car stalls and/or dies while driving. it did this while my daughter was driving and she had to pull over on the highway. i managed to get it started and drive it home but it would not go over 25 mph. the check engine light, the electronic throttle control light, and the traction control light (?) were all on. second problem: there is a message to service airbag system comes on. i did some research and found other people wit the same problem. on the yellow wire box under the passenger seat, there was a black latch (?) that clicked when i squeezed. the message went away.
The car just randomly cuts on and off i took it to the dealership and to pep boys and they said it was just a battery issue i have a brand new battery in my car and it still is doing it

5/30/19 i purchased my car from gage auto sales in oregon. on 06/01/19 i was left stranded on the side of the road because it would not start. i had to have the car towed to the dealership. on 6/2 dealership said there were no starting issues and no codes and i could pick up the car. starting issues progressively got worse. leaving me stranded many times. check engine light came on 6/23/19. 6/24/19 took car back to the dealership which they had until 07/12/19 stating is was the key fob and push start button. one week it ran fine then rapidly began to not start, check engine lights came on along with transmission lights. the car has been a lemon since day one. the dealership has sent me to a third party mechanic and are telling me the transmission is not covered under my extended warranty. this car had these problems the day after i bought it. it was defective when i purchased it and no one at gage auto sales will help me. i am 23 years old trying to make it on my own and there is no way i can pay 1500 to re-program the transmission. please help me!

While driving down the street, the car stalled. this has happened 3 times within the last 5 days. it is unknown as to why this is happening, but the car stalling while driving in the flow of traffic, is a safety risk. during this time, the car would not shift into neutral, and after pressing the start button again, the car starter was continually trying to turn over and start, but didn't. after getting assistance, the car was finally pushed out of the middle of the street from it's stalled position. after getting pushed to a parked position, it finally started, but i didn't want to take the chance of it stalling again, since this has happened three times now.
Since dec 16, 2016 my car has stalled multiple times , i have filed multiple bbb complaints as well as having it inspected , towed , new key fobs purchased and my car literally will stop on the interstate putting me and my family in danger. it, has broken down 15 times since i purchased this vehicle and i'm sick and tired of this. i want this settled

Check engine light came on, using code p03 misfire on cylinder one; replaced cylinder one and spark plug still coming on and battery flunctuating. shop stayed it's an electrical issue not the cylinder itself . battery jumps up and down when in idle and hesitates to start. do not feel safe taking it anywhereb
It seems to happen more in the morning when my car has been idle for a few hour. on sharp turns or abrupt braking in the city my chrysler 200 2015 will stall. first, the electrical warning light will go off along with a bell warning sound and then the car will stall. i will then have to coast to the side of the road (with no power), stop the car, engage the dial to park and press the ignition button with the brake pedal down again. when i do this, the starter will struggle to start, but after 8 second the engine will turnover. the problem seems to be occurring more now. the problem started happening at 58,000 miles and now i am at 70,000 miles.

On the night of 5/11 i came home from a business trip in a rental vehicle and pulled my personal vehicular out of my underground secured garage to take to a store approximately 1 mile away. after returning to my apartment i parked the vehicle in the outside parking lot just for that night as i parked the rental underground. about 15 minutes after parking my vehicle i heard 2 loud booming sounds i could hear from my apartment. about 20 minutes after the booming sounds three police officers came to my apartment door and told me my vehicle was on fire. they took me down to the parking lot and told me there was an explosion that led to the fire. they told me there was a witness who saw sparks flying which led the police detective and fire department to think it was an electrical issue that led to the explosion. there is a police report on file and i have filed a claim with my insurance. the engine compartment was completely engulfed in flames and the heat/fire damaged the two vehicles on either side of my vehicle.
While driving, the engine will stall and shut off with no warning. i have to coast to a safe place to pull over and when i try to restart the engine. the engine makes a loud noise and then starts to crank slowly and then starts back up. this has happened 4 times over the last 5 days.

As i was driving home on the highway the check transmission light came on, i turned into a gas station and attempted to put the car in park and was unable too. a notification popped up stating the car was not in park and to apply parking brake to prevent car from rolling. i then put the car back in d but was unable to move, i then placed the car in r but also was not able to move. after attempting to put the car in park again with no success, i tried to turn the car off, this also was unsuccessful. the car would only go to acc, i was forced to leave the car in this mode until it cut off on its own. i returned to the car the next day and was able to start it, upon starting the car was in p and allowed me to go d and move the vehicle. within 10 feet of driving on the street, the check transmission light reappeared, i then pulled into a parking space on the street and turned the vehicle off. this has been happened in this car at least 7 times and i have been back to the dealership i purchased the car from at least 5 times. every time it was either a simple fix or they could not find anything wrong. i am now out of my warranty and may be forced to pay for a transmission to be fixed. i am risking the life of my 4 year old child every day i use this car. there is a recall for this exact issue but somehow my car was not included.
I have been having issues with this car since day 1 and nobody will do anything about it. first it act like it wants to cut off while i'm driving, then it went to acting like it didn't want to start and now my car has been sitting up for months and will not start at all. it's reading airbag systems and warming engine wait to start. when i wait it still won't start. i'm still paying american car center my money for something i can't even drive and they keep telling me someone will get back with me and never do.

When engine is cold it stalls repeatedly when i slow down, stop, turn a corner or accelerate. car is fine when it is hot but i can't always let it warm up for 10 minutes before driving. this morning was the worst when i pulled out of my subdivision and it stalled in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic having to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting me. this is going to get me killed.

I was having issues with my car i would get in it to drive it and it would just die on me in the middle of the road and that is very dangerous it got to where i didn't drive it well then finally on a day off i had to get my chrysler 200 towed into the nearest chrysler dealership which is the dealership located in mt juliet well i have always had my oil changed on time and i have all the documents that it was changed well we got it towed and the mechanic checked my oil and there was no oil what so ever in my car so i would up having to leave my car for there manager to supposedly change the oil and do an oil pressure test well i had my car picked up by my grandma and they didn't giver her a receipt because the mechanic told us it would be an open account until they figured out if it was using oil well i drove it 1 thousand miles and took it back and the manager with the mechanic checked my oil and they said it was full well then next thousand miles we took it back and they decided to give us issues because the mechanic we where working with had left the company and we have a receipt from both times and it states in the first receipt that they put in their system that the oil consumption test did begin on that date well the manager told us that they only had record of us being there twice which both times was to check the oil well the manager stated that i would have to bring it back and get an oil change and start the entire process over again and my car is only in warranty for a few more months my car is using oil and there is no leaks that are happening i want this issue fixed or you can buy this car out i am tired of having to miss work or going through heck to try to get this resolved. i do have the proof and i'm not scared to take this into lawful orders. thank you very much [xxx] i also have a video of what the car was doing and i am not afraid to show it ...
While driving my 200 i lost control of my steering. the check engine light the steering warning light as well as my traction light. i could not turn my wheel at all.
Either myself or my wife have been driving our 200 and while driving it stalls outs. it has happened a number of times for just over a month now. yesterday i was driving it and it made a bell sound and then i saw something flash about oil but it went off the screen pretty quick. i was slowing around a corner. this morning my wife was driving the 200 and stated that the vehicle stalled twice as she was coming up to stop signs.

The car engine keeps on stalling while it is in motion. the car suddenly stops while i am driving it. there are no warning lights, visual cues or sounds to indicate any problem. as a result, the car's power steering becomes inoperable. the speed of the car varies at the time of each incident. each time this incident has happened, the car has become disabled in the middle of the street. there have been 5 incidents this past month. so far, the car has been able to restart after putting the car in park and after a couple of attempts of pushing the start button along with stepping on the brakes. it usually takes a couple of minutes. during that time, my car is in the middle of the street and in traffic. i have had my children in the car during some of these incidents. it is an extreme safety risk.

Cold start my car had a recall for a device that needed to be replaced. "shuts off while driving" i was informed that it was replaced and this would solve the problem. "cold start" this is happening again in the mornings, the car starts fine: i'll sit and let it warm for about 5 mins. when i drive out the carport parking make a left, then making a right the car shuts off while driving. this has happened 2 time's last month. same issue this month, but it has happened 10 times this month. i warm the car and then proceed to drive, shuts off completely , before it would start right up, now it's having a delayed starting issue as if it doesn't want to start. same routine as to warming up my car, i made a right onto the street and when slowing down because there was a dip, car shut off, 3 attempts to start it up. the car shut off again at the stop sigh before heading into a major intersection of oncoming traffic. it is now taking at most 3 times to attempt before the car starts and now the needles in the car on the dash board roll over from the 0 and back. it also has a delay when trying to exhilarate. this is happened to my on the streets while in motion, making turns, driving straight. this is very dangerous and the recall specified that the car could shut off while on the highway.
On saturday 29/9/2019 i was getting ready to go to work from fremont, ca to san jose, ca and my car wouldn't start. i had to press the push start several times to get it to start,. once it did start when i turned on the defroster it started shaking and turned off. i had to let it idle more than 15 minutes before it warmed up. i made it around the block about a quarter mile before i came to a stop sign and the car shut off. i managed to turn it back on and pull over. it continued to stall until i got back home. since then it's been shaking when on idle and it jerks between gears. while on the 880 freeway the car will decelerate during peak traffic hours causing me to have to pull over to the slow lanes to avoid getting rear ended. i'm taking to the dealership for diagnostics.
The car has shuts off while driving. i bought the car used last year in march 2018. it had issues w/jerking between gears and "hopping", but several months ago, just shut off while driving 75 mph on a highway (twice in 15 mins). dealership attempted to fix. but, its back to same problem. it shut off tuesday while out of town at a hotel while pulling out onto a 5 lane road. supposedly fixed, and then shut off on interstate 695 around baltimore last night while two lanes of traffic over. shutting off with -0- warning while traveling on busy interstates is extremely dangerous and possible life threatening. per research, this seems to be a major issue for this car, not sure why nhtsa has not recalled it yet.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. when the vehicle was started, it stalled and jerked. the contact had to allow the engine to warm up for approximately 30 minutes before it operated normally. the contact noticed that engine oil spilled into the spark plug chamber. the vehicle was taken to car town kia usa (3120 lexington road, nicholasville, ky 40356, (859) 887-4737) where the failure was confirmed. the throttle body, oil exhaust manifold, two engine sensors, and catalytic converter were cleaned and repaired, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to dan cummins chevrolet buick (1020 martin luther king jr. boulevard, paris, ky 40361, (859) 340-1649) where engine oil was found in the spark plug chamber again. the dealer cleaned the spark plug chamber and stated that the vehicle required an oil change every 3,000 miles. the dealer further stated that if the oil change was not performed, the engine would lose oil and the oil would flood into the spark plug chamber. the manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 58391349. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 83,309. *bf consumer stated dealer had us perform 1,000 mile oil consumption test by sealing dip stick/ oil access points and with our concern/ objection due to how the car quit on the hwy previous, but we were to drive for 1,000 miles and return to see results. at 884 miles we returned and the car with no sign of leaks used over a quart of oil. valve cover-spark plug tube seal; basket:ignition coil; gasket; cylinder headcover under 5/22/19 power train warranty. chysler manufacturer stated they would cover cost and rental car. they stated they would cover catalystic coverter replacement because the repair was done by an uncerified mechanic where we bought the car.*jb
