On average, the 2015 Chrysler 200 starts to “feel” problems with the SUSPENSION and its various aspects after 40 066 miles.

Recently reported SUSPENSION problems on 2015 Chrysler 200

Car started making an awful clanking noise when turning. had three (3) different places look at it and they all said it was the transmission. took it to spitzer chrysler in brook park, oh who said it was everything but the transmission. they wanted to charge me more than the car is worth. had it towed to a different chrysler dealer as it's undrivable and leaked all it's transmission fluid out.

Air bag sensor, cooling thermostat and hosing. shocks headlight issues electrical. i have put two thermostat and changed hosing twice. there are sever recalls listed on the same make year and model and under my vin there's no recalls yet i'm experiencing the same issues that were recalled on the same year make and model. this does not make since why isn't my car covered for the recalls. i took my car to chrysler dealer and called cooperate and they said my car isn't covered but there's recalls with the same issues for the same year make and model.

I am experiencing rattling from my rear driver's side wheel that only occurs when there are bumps in the road. the brakes have been checked and there are no issues with the tires. however, i can feel every bump that i go over but only on the side where the back tire is on the driver's side.

My breaking is in effective. the ride of the car is not smooth. when taking it to get it serviced they told me my make and model is on recall for this exact problem i am having but my vin number did not show up. i have not gotten it repaired as it is expensive and chrysler should honor this problem. i believe my vin number should fall in the recall guidelines.

The car shut completely off while in an intersection while attempting to make a right turn. the car shut off during a right turn. the car shut off while backing out of my garage. the car jerks as if a ghost is hitting it from behind in the middle of take off from a complete stop at a light or stop sign. it shakes everyone up in front and back seats and it happens randomly and spontaneously. this behavior has been happening for two years now and it wasn't not provoked by an accident. thank you.

Hvac controls blower motor keeps going out and resistor and acuator i have replaced it 3 times . transmission shift hard violently hard shifts . and suspension is is unsafe whobble at at high speed mechanic cant find problem i've spent $2400 dollars replacing suspension parts and still cannot find the cause of the death whobble at highway speeds. i am located in new albany mississippi .

While making a left turn at 5-10 mph, the lower control arm suspension broke folding sideways and causing the car to be puller left into a parked car waiting to make a turn. fortunately it broke at a very low rate of speed. the car had just exited a 60 mph highway. the body shop stated that chrysler must have known about the weakness since the replacement part it significantly heavier built (see photo).

Driving my 2015 chrysler 200s and i'm hearing squeaky noise whenever i go over a bump in the road. took my car to the shop and was told that i need a lot of front end work done, and that my lower control arms were bad as well as my struts. to add more insult there are no struts on the market for this car. this car is only 3 years old......

Took car for routine tire rotation, 44,000 miles on car. told could not rotate due to rear passenger tire "cupping". did research, was a recall for 2015 chrysler for faulty shocks in rear of car. i called chrysler, told me my vin was not included. very dangerous, shock could break, tire could blow out. i will have to pay for the new faulty shocks myself and 2 new rear tires.

This vehicle has a shudder and a jerking motion at approximately the 28 to 35 mph range. also switching the gears from neutral to drive or reverse will freeze. have to shut the vehicle off and try again. as far as the suspension, the left rear has made a sound almost from the beginning when vehicle was purchased. it makes a clunking sound if going over a bump, or hit a deviation in the road. was told for the longest time couldn't find anything. now all of a sudden 1 shock is bad.

Vechile showed no warning of over heating remind u this is almost the luxury model 200s.. also emission always comes up with check engine even when i change gas.. also fuel cap isn't always a tight fit even threw mopar pops up as cap loose! have a terrible suspension problem being a sports model with 19inch stock rims very pour design on lower control arm bushings and struts!

I've had problems with the air conditioning it won't turn on after the heater is on the next day it won't turn on and when the car needs a oil change the engine light will turn on and then the car start acting funny it will just turn off in the st and it won't turn back on and i can't take it off parking to make the car and then when it does turn on the speed won't work it won't go over 15 mph but i can hear the engine and the meters go up.

(1) i purchased my car in october 2016. my car cut off in the middle of a very busy city street intersection. i had to keep blowing my horn and keep hazard lights on. my two children were in the car with me! it has cut off a total of 3 times since i purchased it, less than 2 years ago. i took more than 3 minutes to start up again.(2)the car also jolts, while driving, a lot causing everyone in the car to push forward off of the seats.

I was told by wheelworks that my tires were cupping because the front struts and back shocks were bad. there is a visible leak in the left front strut and the left back shock. the vehicle has 28,,700 miles. the front tire was making a noise after the tires were rotated at the dealership during an oil change

Takata recall i'm having a problem with my 2015 chrysler 200 i'm hearing a rattling noise whenever i go over any type of bumps big or small. it's the struts & strut mounts they are bad, the sway bar links are pretty bad too and i wanted to get them replaced. but the problem is i can't. i took my car to a repair shop and i also called some places they all said there's no struts for this car on the market. so i can't get this problem fix, i need help this is a safety issue!

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated at any rate of speed and the oil was low. there was no oil leak present. david dodge chrysler jeep (1801 us-202, glen mills, pa 19342, (610) 358-5300) was contacted the vehicle was not repaired; however, the dealer mentioned that they serviced the vehicle under a warranty. specific diagnostic information was not disclosed. in addition, the rear shocks were replaced twice. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v392000 (suspension), although the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms listed in the recall campaign. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the failure mileage was not available. *tt consumer stated oil was low, vehicle stalled and dealer did something to the module power train. also, two front end alignments and had to replace 6 tires as well as airbag light stays on. jumper harnest under the seat needs to be replaced.*jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 15 mph, a noise emerged from the rear tires that grew louder. the contact drove the vehicle to an unknown tire shop and had the rear tires replaced. the contact stated that the vehicle had been experiencing the noise ever since november of 2017. the vehicle was taken to hollywood chrysler/jeep in hollywood, florida on december 16, 2017. the dealer did not find any failures with the vehicle. the independent tire mechanic suggested that that the noise may be related to the suspension. the contact researched online and found a recall issued by the manufacturer for the suspension, which caused the tires to wear out unevenly. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified. the approximate failure mileage was 15,000.

Had to have the wheel hub replacement after only having the car for 1 year put needs shocks only three years old

Both front lower control arm mounts are split causing the lower control arm to come loose.

Drove the car from germantown md to washington dc for a program, got in the car two hours later. door unlocked with remote, place foot on brake, dash lights and radio turns on car won't start. stop recognizing my remote in the car. i had people try hooking up jumper cables, nothing happen. after two hours of trying to figure out what's wrong car starts. drive the car home with no issues. next morning car won't start same thing happening. i looked down and noticed the car showing in neutral when the knob turned to park. the electrical system reading my car in neutral but it's not therefore it won't start. i took my car in for the recall and criswell only did a updating of software, the rewiring of the electrical system wasn't done. the recall wasn't done as called for and the remote is a replacement after they lost my original.

The car has a several second hesitation when placing your foot on the gas when starting from either a stopped position or a slowed position. the car has stalled on several occasions when going from reverse to drive, when slowly backing up it looses power and stalls as i put my foot on the brake to change from reverse to drive. the emergency brake has come on while slowing down coming down an incline causing a car behind me to have to swerve from hitting me my vehicle was going approximately 25 miles an hour at the time. all of these have been reported to chrysler and motorworld where i have been told there is nothing that can be done.

First, there is the hvac/windshield defrost. my concern with that condition is that my vehicle is my main source of travel and to have the hvac to work properly in the summer is vital as well, as having a clear windshield. a breakdown at night, an accident, hitting a pole hole, something or someone would be far worse than a mere inconvenience. incidentally, my intended use of the vehicle was made quite clear to the sales staff when i bought it. second, and the matter of far greater concern to me is the transmission. car making clucking noise, vibrating, jerking while shifting gears and launching while driving as if someone hit me from the back. third, vehicle is only 2 years old and has had to have the drive shaft replaced. which in return i've been without vehicle for more then 14 days and occur extra expenses of car rentals, tires and wheel alignment due to irregular wear. fourth, hesitation on attempt to accelerate. i was informed that issue would be resolved with replacement of drive shaft. defective drive shaft was the reason for delay and jerking. fifth, excessive gas burning. i was informed that exist because of drive shaft. once drive shaft was replaced it didn't resolve issue. i was giving a formula to calculate gas mileage, which was given to dealer. car averaging 16mpg. per car sticker fuel economy: highway 29/ city 18. car is driven mostly on highway without a lot of stop and go traffic. our state's lemon law dictates that a vehicle carries a presumption that it is a lemon if a condition exists 'that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven and the nonconformity has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer or its agents, and the buyer or lessee has at least once directly notified the manufacturer of the need for the repair of the nonconformity.'

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving approximately 40 mph, a loud abnormal noise was heard from the front of the vehicle. the vehicle began to lose power and then stalled. the contact turned the engine of and was able to restart the vehicle. in addition, while depressing the accelerator pedal to the floorboard, the vehicle failed to accelerate. the contact noticed that the front passenger side tire was leaning outwards. the vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the axle had detached and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 55,000. updated 06/02/17*lj *cn

The vehicle has continual jerking, rattling, and bouncing at the rear with the slightest dip in road within city limits and also on the highway and sounds as if the vehicles is about to fall apart. when driving the car will accelerate itself causing me to hard brake to avoid collision. *tr

The vehicle has had repeated electrical problems where the instrument panel will suddenly start flashing service transmission, service airbags, service brakes and during that time the electronic gear shift disengages from drive and alternates from park to low while the vehicle is moving. the dealership finally after two years of complaining and being turned away because the car was not storing an codes found the vehicle had a faulty electronic module in the transmission. this transmission has been service and reprogrammed 4 times since it's purchase in june of 2014 and now there is a new recall for the same issue. i'm not safe in this death trap. *tr

Was involved in a 3 -car accident on 04/27/2016 per the way he vehicle was hit and the damages, the airbags should have deployed, no airbags deployed and car would not turn off... meaning the push to start would not turn off engine... the vehicle was in motion when accident occurred and there is no reason exactly why the airbags didn't deploy being that the axle is damaged as well.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated while driving at approximately 55 mph, the vehicle made a continuous jerking motion. the contact also stated while driving at approximately 45 mph, the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was able to restart on the first attempt. the failure recurred multiple times intermittently. the vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. the engine was replaced, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 5. updated 03/28/17 lj the consumer stated the dealer could not duplicate the failure. *js

I have brought my car to the dealership repair shop 18 times about something is wrong with my transmission. i have all paperwork to back it up that these technicians and chrysler's star keep telling me that either they don't hear anything or no it's normal. well today my check engine light came on and the screen said service transmission. but there's nothing wrong with it i thought. to make matters more upsetting to me on wednesday the 23rd of september i got a call from the dealership if the tech can take it home overnight 9 miles away to see if what i feel or hear (hesitation, rattling, and jerking) is true. normal yet again! by the way the airbag light is still on waiting for them to call because they are waiting to get a new wiring harness to fix the issue. the airbag part has been in the shop 7 times going on 8 and has been repaired that many times. oh and the airbag a so called safety issue isn't really a safety issue according to the dealership and chrysler. they sent me home with it. the same tech that said the car tranny is normal. i have children and yet they keep telling me the 2015 chrysler 200 is suppose to be this way. someone even had the nerve to guarantee me that if i'm involved in an accident it will deploy. chrysler and the techs that go through all this training still can not fix a car with issues. even with my car having stayed over the 30 day mark with the same issues that can not be resolved chrysler will not buy back my car. please someone look into it.

This car was rented to me by enterprise leasing company in the chicagoland area. as i was in the process of making a left turn (west bound) onto a residential street, i had the passenger side front tire break away from the chassis causing me to lose control of the vehicle and hit two parked car. after the collision, i inspected the car and found the passenger-side front tire broken off and positioned 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the car in the wheel well. the hubcap side of the tire was facing backward, relative to the car, broken off from the lower control arm with the frame of the vehicle resting on the street. *cn

Car turn off while driving , happen now 3x. (7/21,7/30 ,8/2)

We were at a stop sign when we heard a noise and felt a jolt. we got out of the car to observe what had happened and discovered that the ball joint was not properly installed from the factory. the pinch bolt was installed but the head of the ball joint never passed completely through. when it came apart, it came apart with such force that it jerked the axel out and caused some minor body damage. the right front tire was flipped out and turned. the front end of the car was resting on the fender. as stated on the repair invoice...."lower ball joint separated from knuckle, doesn't appear to be fully installed. replaced right front lower arm, knuckle, axel, splash shield. relearn power steering and four wheel alignment". we were on our way to a week long vacation and had to spend it in a dealership and enterprise rental car agency. vehicle was not repaired when we had to leave and come home. i have videos and photos. spoke to chrysler care who seemed willing to work with us. i advised that my daughter was terrified to drive this car again. we had only had it 2 weeks. this was her first new car purchase. she is a full time nursing student and works a full time job. we asked that chrysler just replace the vehicle with one of equal value and was told by the buyback department that they were refusing to do that and that this was covered under the warranty. the vehicle is still sitting at a chrysler dealer in myrtle beach sc. it has been there over a month. chrysler has refused to assist us. i have spoken to an attorney and was advised that i would need to sue chrysler corp. and the dealership. this vehicle passed 2 inspections at the dealer with faulty assembley. i have copies of all phone conversations, the time and name of who i spoke with along with a copy of the invoice. thank you in advance for your assistance!

I have been trying to get my car fixed for a year. the dealer mac haik in georgetown tx has said that they cannot replicate the problem. my car hesitates when i step on the gas and when it is put into gear it lunges. this is particularly annoying when the car first starts. i have told them over and over and they just say that their transmission man is out on leave. this is a beautiful car that i absolutely hate because of how it drives. i contacted chrysler and they said it has to go through the dealer. i am frustrated and very aggravated. if this is the american import of the year, we are in dire straits. this is an unsafe car! this was not the car that i demoed and when i said something to the salesperson, he and the service person said that the car had to adjust to the way i drive.

Nhtsa 14v-392. i have received 2 notices of this safety recall. i have made several attempts with my dealership to resolve this matter and they still have not made any effort to make the necessary repairs needed. my dealership is: frisco chrysler dodge jeep ram 9640 texas 121 frisco, tx 75035. *tr

During launch of 2015 chrysler 200 at sterling heights assembly plant vehicles have had at least 30 torque failures or no reads for critical joints. therefore torque would have to be verified manually. unfortunately the company has not provided the proper sockets to the wrenches to verify the joints. despite this management has pressured supervisors to leave no defects on the line. this environment has caused supervisors to buy off on unverified torque on critical safety joints. *tr
