Problems with 2012 Chevrolet Traverse ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL

On average, the 2012 Chevrolet Traverse starts to “feel” problems with the ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL and its various aspects after 90 206 miles.

Recently reported ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL problems on 2012 Chevrolet Traverse

Was bringing my children home from school and engine light and traction control light came on, reduced my speed and i couldn't keep up with traffic so quickly got off the road. looked at the dash and saw it said engine power reduced. turned off the car few seconds and i was able to drive home luckily i wasn't to far.

At approximately 45 mph on a straight 2 lane road the service stabilitrak message came on, engine power was greatly reduced, smoke from exhaust and gas smell appeared and traction control turned off. could be extremely dangerous on a major highway or in rainy conditions.

While driving at normal traffic and highway speeds, the vehicle will sometimes reduce speeds on its own and the transmission will drop to 2nd gear. the sevice engine light will flash and the dash will read traction control off. sometimes the engine will also misfire. the vehicle will sometimes correct itself and return to normal driving or it has to be turned off to reset. some forum users suggest replacing the throttle due to carbon buildup. this is can cause confusion with a driver which may result in a collision.

I was driving at about 50mph the check traction control lights came on the check stabilitrack came on then it said traction control on then off my vehicle lost power and i couldnt steer. luckily no cars were coming on the dark winding road i was on as i was stuck no lights or anything.

Receiving 'service stabilitrak' 'service traction control' 'traction control off' messages

My husband and i went to the store with our two kids just to grab some groceries. we live less than 5 miles from the grocery store. on our way home the car started shaking while idling and acted like it was going to stall out on us. we were in the middle of the intersection when the car decided to start sputtering, shaking violently and then shut off. thankfully enough we were able to pull into a parking lot to try and figure out what happened. after multiple attempts the car finally started back up. we were not able to go above 20 mph. we found out that the fuel pump went out so we spent the $300 to replace that. once that was replaced we thought we were in the clear. about two days later the same thing happened again except i was on the expressway doing about 70-80 mph. same thing, was able to start it up again after multiple attempts, couldn't go above 40 mph this time. about two months ago we started having p0017, p0018, p0019 trouble codes pop up. we tried to replace the sensors and they were still popping up. we cleared them, about 5-10 minutes later they would pop back up again. thursday the car was working fine. it was running great, no shaking, wasn't acting like it was going to stall out. the engine light was still on but we are now to the point that there is some sort of electrical issue going on. this is our only vehicle, and we have two kids and jobs to get to. we are tired of putting money into this trying to figure out what's wrong with it. my parents owned this car before we did. we are the second owners. i find it pretty convenient that everything starts to go downhill after warranty dates are up or after you hit a certain mileage. and with the strike that just happened, gm isn't wanting to take any responsibility for the fear of losing money yet again. issue a recall or you will end up with lawsuits. either way you will lose money. save some lives.

The service stabilitrak warning comes across the dash and the powers motor down to half power. this has happened three times now the first time i was on the highway going 70 and was lucky to avoid an accident with my children in the vehicle. had the motor replaced because the mechanic sau it was something with the timing. now it is happening again, this time i was in town luckily on a street that wasnt too busy. this is not only becoming costly to repair but extremely unsafe when it powers down to half power and you can not get above 20mph. this is supposed to be a family vehicle there are children riding in these cars.

I will be driving down the road, either on highway or city street and all of a sudden a warning light comes on that says service stabilitrak/reduce engine power/traction control. the next day it will run fine.

I just purchased this vehicle 2 weeks ago from taylor chevrolet. it has already been in the dealership twice for some sensor issues that they knew about when it was sold to me and said they were going to fix when "a part came in" they never called so i had to contact them when the truck started having issues. this is where i have the biggest problem i almost lost my life today when a semi almost hit me while driving because the stabilitrak system completely went out which apparently is an issue on these trucks that is not being addressed. the control panel is displaying service stabilitrak and engine losing power. i lost a day of work so far and need my vehicle to maintain my bills and keep my job. this all happened one day after getting my truck back from being serviced

Flashing engine light, stabilitrack light, traction control light, all of the different codes flashing, then air conditioner blows hot, vehicle won't go forward, it just stops right there, and there is nothing you can do. it generally happens when you're driving on city streets stopping or starting.

Without any warning got the following messages: traction control off, service stability trak, service traction control, engine power is reduced. then the check engine light went on and i was told it was the camshaft correlation. i've looked on line and have noticed many traverse owners are having this problem where the car slows down to a halt in the middle of the road or refuses to go faster than 25 miles per hour. we purchased this vehicle as a certified pre-owned 4 years ago and it does'nt even have 100,000 miles on it. i was on the road when the messages came on and i had to quickly pull in to a gas station because i was driving on a 55 mile an hour road and the car quickly slowed down to around 25mph.

While driving on the highway at 55mph my vehicle seemed to suddenly drive rough and i thought i was going to lose control or a blown tire or something. i lost power and my vehicle began to slow down on its own. things began to light up on my dash about the stabilitrak system needing servicing. this was terrifying since cars were flying by me and i was in the middle lane. this has happened more than once even on local roads at slower speeds such as 30mph. why is there no recall for this? there are so many complaints and families are in these vehicles including mine. i am also getting a check engine code for timing. my vehicle is just at 70k miles and i use it as a daily driver to/from work and primarily just in my town. furthest i drive is 20 minutes down the highway to a relative and back. please fix this with a recall! it is extremely unsafe! the recall shouldn't be issued once there is a tragic death, it should be issued before!! i've already had to deal with my wipe blades coming off and hitting each other because the bolts came loose while i was driving home in heavy rain and there was a recall for that! this stabilitrak and timing recall needs to happen.

The truck loose power and light traction control need services soon and engine luck of power is to go over 20 miles

I was driving my traverse on an on ramp to the highway when the check engine light came on. the dash said service stabilitrac, engine power reduced... just as i was about to merge into traffic. i lost acceleration and had to take the shoulder of the highway to avoid getting run over by a semi that was at highway speed! i can't believe there isn't a recall or something for this extremely dangerous issue!!

This has happened twice once with our kids in the car on the way home from the airport and once to my wife on her way home from work. both on the freeway at 65+ mph. driving fine then all of a sudden violent shaking, and loss of power. cannot steer at 65 mph that is literally deadly. service stabilitrak light comes on, traction control off light comes on, and reduced engine power light comes on. extremely dangerous and had a 6,4,and 2 year old in the vehicle. the fact that this hasn't been addressed as a recall is absolutely absurd. i went through 16 pages of complaints on a chevrolet forum about this issue. how many does it take before the problem is addressed? does someone need to die? from what i understand it may not be worth taking into a mechanic as they have not been able to nail down the issue and i don't have thousands of dollars to pour into a problem that doesnt have a sure cure. abaolutely ridiculous to be doing freeway speeds and then not be able to steer. do something about this.

I was driving down the street. everything went out on my dash speed odometer, and gas light hand . i was losing power. then i notice it said service stabilitrak control off.

Stabilitrak/ traction control turns off suddenly while driving without reason. abs brakes light comes on in message center. vehicle suddenly loses power and engine idles rough. occurs suddenly without warning leaving driver/passengers stranded in dangerous roadways. vehicle only has 70,000 miles and is serviced regularly. vehicle was serviced two months ago for this problem, where an alignment temporarily fixed the problem. two months later, problem returned.

Purchased car used in december '15. numerous times car was driving and a warning was given on dash "reduce engine owr, service stablitrak". car was takento marty feldman in livonia, mi (may 17)and per inspection stated needed new accelerator pedal which was not the problem. problems persisted with said vehicle fast fwd to march 2019 car will not start at all. victory chevy in milan, mi stated timing chain went out needs replaced. online a quick search finds these same issues with thousands of traverse n equinox models!!! a recall is needed

While driving the kids to school the dash dings and says traction control off, service stabilitrak, engine power is reduced. then my car would not go over 15mph. i am now afraid to drive this car especially with the kids as it is unsafe.

All of a sudden the vehicle displays service stabilitrak, traction control off, engine power reduced. then the vehicle has very little power to accelerate or navigate hills. when it first happened to me, i pulled out of our driveway and it just wasn't running smoothly and i had very little power to drive forward.

In december of 2018 i took my car to diane sauer in warren ohio because the stabilizer traction control light came on and the car was driving very rough. i took it to diane sauer and service manager keith said nothing was wrong with it and didn't charge me for the diagnostic report. i took my car back in january 2019 with same problem but worse. so bad i got off the by-pass and had it towed. diane sauer had my car for two weeks and never called about the car. i had to repeatedly call them. after two weeks they say the engine was gone. keith told gm it was due to lack of maintenance. i provided gm and diane sauer with all receipts of my oil change. i bought that car from diane sauer brand new!!! i took care of the car and after seven years they say the engine is gone!!!! no way!!! i took great care of that car!!! diane sauer needs to stand behind their products!!!! diane sauer would not be in business without your customers who support your business!!!! stand behind your products!!!! be honest!!! the trust is gone!!!!!!

'service stabilitrack' 'traction control off' loss of engine power lights come on while driving causing the car to immediately slow and traction control to turn off . this almost caused us to hit another car with the loss of power before we were able to pull over shut the car off restart and drive with the error warnings gone . this happens frequently

The first time i was in a restaurant drive thru but sitting idle. then several codes flashed on my dash about traction control and stabilitrak and limp mode and it started to stink. we towed it to our mechanic and he could not tell what code was causing the issue so he cleared the codes and it ran fine after that. after a couple additional trips to the mechanic, we did have a couple issues seemingly related and he ended up replacing a coil and all the spark plugs. now, a few months later, my wife was driving up the road to our house and just before turning into our driveway, the same error messages came up on the dash. she turned off the car and called me. when i got home i started the car and got the same results. we had the car towed to our mechanic again. this time when the tow truck arrived, the car did not start. after it arrived at our mechanic, he could not start it, and he could only read one code and it said nondefining code and he could not determine what the problem is. he then cleared the code and it is running fine again. i am very concerned this is going to happen on the highway with my wife driving and she will be seriously hurt. i have read many other complaints of this same issue and cannot believe a recall has not happened. just look at this: [xxx] i am not seriously considering trading it in for a non chevy vehicle. *tr parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

While driving , stopped at light. started to drive and abs trouble light comes on and the brakes lock up. i had to drive as if all my brakes where on , they heat up and smoke. parked in my driveway husband go out to check and trouble is gone. ack to normal . no trouble locked in as if nothing happened . dealer said can't do anything unless it is brought in with trouble. it's has been happening about once a month . almost got in accident . chevy. reds to address and fix this problem. there are a lot of other people on the internet stating the same problem. going to get rid of car if the problem can not be fix before i get in an accident with my kids. chevy should investigate the problem and create a recall to correct the problem before someone ends up getting killed from it . it is a huge safety issue and do not understand why nothing is being done about the problem.

My wife was driving our 2012 chevy traverse, received errors "engine power is reduced" and "traction control off". she said the vehicle couldn't go above 20 mph and she was on a 50mph road. she was very frantic with our kids in the car. drove it to our mechanic who told us it's a fuel pressure sensor issue going to cost $400. started searching and found many forums with the same problem and appears no one knows what's wrong. very unsafe. need a recall. happening too often.

The first night when the temperature dropped below 40 degrees my car wouldn't start so i replaced my battery spending $188 for a brand new battery. the very next morning the car still wouldn't start so i got someone to jump me off. it cranked with no issue. when i put the car in drive it would not accelerate beyond 35mph. i then attempted to turn around and go home and my car would only reverse and would no longer move in the drive selection. in neutral the car locked up and wouldn't drive. i eventually drove in reverse illegally down the highway in morning rush hour traffic. i enventuallt made it home and let my car sit for an hour while calling for assistance. when i went back to restart the car is acting as if the battery is dead. this was not only dangerous with 4 children inside but unsafe to be stuck in traffic will no way to accelerate in drive. my car will no longer crank without a jump i took it to a mechanic who stated that he couldn't see the issue and recommended that i simply trade it in which isn't an option currently.

My fuel light came on so i went to the nearest station to fill up. i always turn my car off while pumping. when i went to start the car afterwards, it acted like it didn't want to start. i proceeded to leave the station. as i got on the road my lights started coming on warning me that the traction control is off, that the stability something needs serviced, then something about power reduced. i quickly went from 45 mph to less than 20 on a flat road. scared me bc i had my family in my car and on a one lane road trying to get to the side so others could pass me.

Was driving to work on i-95 north in rush hour traffic and all of a sudden hear ding ding ding then loose power and car goes into limp mode. service traction control light comes on in dash. vehicles behind me almost ran into me as my car slowed for no reason and no brake lights. it was very difficult and scary to maneuver to the side of the road. many angry motorists honking and displaying rude gestures as i got to the side of the road. had vehicle towed and told was a sensor that caused it. now 3 later same thing driving home from cheerleading practice with 3 young children in car. i have read many cases of same thing with this type car on chevy traverse forums.

I was driving on a flat road in the middle of rush hour traffic. the traction control light came on, shortly after the check engine light came on, and steering wheel tightened. i pulled over, shut the car off, waited a few minutes and then restarted. no lights. when i brake car, seems to take longer and then jerks to engage brakes. shop ran codes and nothing came back.

While driving on a on a busy street vehicle- approx 30mph - unexpectedly and without warning this vehicle suddenly decelerated / downshifted to a crawl. we nearly lost control of the car and narrowly avoided several close calls of people behind us. thankfully we were not on the highway as others have described. also, door locks began locking and unlocking on their own. once we got to a safe spot messages on the display began flashing, service stabiltrak; service traction control; park assist off; traction control on; traction control off. towed this car to the dealer for an exorcism since it was no longer driveable. first thing they did was replace the battery. as they tell it a bad / funky battery might cause bad things to the electronic transmission module. $400 later issues persist. now i am told i need to replace the transmission outright - $5500. this just can't be right. this is barely 6 year old vehicle with just over $115k. serviced regularly / without fail. shame on you chevrolet. i'm betting no chev exec, dealer or mechanic would ever trust this car for their family vehicle

Pulled out of driveway and check engine started flashing then the traction control said it was off and the stabilization trak service the power of the vechical went down and started shaking. i pulled over and turned the car off waited 15 minutes and tried to start it it hesitated and was dealing rough.. stabilizer control on flashes on the screen and check engine went solid and car seemed fine. i'm now calling the dealer ship to get it in. but i read this is a common problem. why no recall? d car was shaking.

I was driving with my children while exiting a highway off-ramp, and our chevy traverse suddenly malfunctioned and i temporarily lost power steering/control of the car, had no acceleration, and all instruments went wonky (turning on/off, going back and forth). i was forced to pull off the highway off-ramp onto a dangerously narrow shoulder with minimal room, and had to coast the car to the end of the off-ramp-- and then was stuck at the off ramp at a red light in rush-hour traffic. after towing the vehicle to the dealership, we replaced the battery at the suggestion of our local chevy dealership. then about 4 months later, the problem has happened again as i was exiting our driveway on my way to work. we had it towed to our local chevy dealership, and after 4 days of running diagnostics and test driving it, they finally concluded it was a faulty transmission module. we now have to pay $ 1,700.00 out of pocket to repair the car, as were one year over the 5 year warranty (but only 55k miles on the car). at the time this happened, our traverse only had approx. 57k miles on it.

I was driving my traverse and the stability and engine power reduced came on and automatically my car came to a stop and would not accelerate. my son pushed the car to the side of the street. i shut the car off and turned it back on and everything was fine. the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. it keeps happening. i'm lucky so far that i wasn't on the expressway, i might have been killed.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chevrolet traverse. while driving 45 mph, the vehicle experienced a compete loss of power. in addition, the service stabilitrak and traction control warning indicators illuminated. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 102,163.

2012 chevrolet traverse - in several occasions while driving at different speeds the i will smell a strange chemical oder, then the check engine light will come on and black smoke will come from the exhaust. then the traverse will dramatically reduce speed. this seem to occur on humid or days with wet weather. i will pull over and shut off the vehicle for about 5 minutes, when i start it up again it resets but their is smoke or steam coming from the engine compartment. upon looking it appears to be coming from wire harness. my shop can not explain why this is happening, but i feel that this is a safety concern due to the quick drop in speed while on the highway. i've read a lot of blogs on this and it appears to be a similar issue at early models that have had recalls

There were more than a few occasions were i am driving and my car will instantly slow down and the check engine light comes on and something saying traction control. i don't know exactly what that means but when i took it to my dealership the lights had went off and they just looked at me, saying that they can't fix something that's not there. it's scared me because it decreases speed while on the highway and the other cars obviously don't know what's happening and we almost got into an accident. i'm nervous about my car while driving in the road. this has happened on the streets as well as highway.

I've had this 2012 traverse for less than a year. at first the traction control would come on after sitting at a red light. reduced engine light comes on and truck will pull hard and barely exceed 40mph. i pull over, turn off engine for approximately a minute. then restart engine and stabilitrak would go off. now the problem will occur while driving. sometimes the engine shuts off in mid traffic. it also comes on while in warming engine in the mornings. i have to turn engine off and on a few times before it goes off.

So basically like everyone else is stating all of the sudden when you are driving the light comes on and says traction control off/service strabila trac and the the check engine light comes on and you have reduced engine power. my mechanic has had me drive straight to him every time this happens because if i turn the car off the computer does not hold the codes. he was getting a reading of the ignition coils being bad. we have replaced all six ignition coils about two weeks ago. today 06/04/18 it did it again. this has been going on for a while and nobody really seems to know what the problem is. i am seriously out of money to keep experimenting with repairs at this point. gm really needs to step up and do a recall. also these cars had an airbag recall and i took it in and was told they fixed that recall. my airbag light remains on and they tell me i have to replace the airbag at my cost! why? seriously loosing faith in gm products.

Takata recall. stabilitrack automatically goes off while driving down the road or interstate the smell of raw gas comes through the cabin, vehicle goes into limp mode and starts to stall. this happens often not just once. i have researched complaints online and there are a ton of people with the same complaints.

The vehicle has 86k miles and is 6 years old. over the past few weeks we have noticed a similar issue as others i have read about. the traction control light goes on....the doors lock/unlock....and the engine essentially decelerates from 60+ down to 30-40 mph quickly. i have heard that the throttle body may need to be replaced. we are going to try that and if that works, great. if it doesn't, not going to get another chevy. this is dangerous...and could eventually cause serious injury or death.

The stability/traction control light comes on and the engine power reduces.when i took to the mechanic nothing shows on the computer as wrong or has been wrong. while this is happening the cruise control wont work and i had to push really hard on gas pedal. this has happened 3 times so far

This incident occurred twice. driving down the freeway at freeway speeds, a loud clunk was heard, the vehicle jerked, check engine light appeared, check stabilitrax and traction control messages appeared and stabilitrax disabled, speedometer remained frozen at speed this incident occurred. while driving to safe location to stop, vehicle appeared to be stuck in a specific gear that is lower than normal for freeway driving, rpms were much higher than normal. when attempting to accelerate from a standstill, vehicle appears to have no power (probably due to accelerating from 0 mph in a higher gear). i took vehicle to bowman chevrolet service center for attention and they were unable to duplicate the incident though they did state that they see error codes in the system for loss of communication. after testing and troubleshooting for up to 2 weeks, service department stated that they are unable to determine the cause of the error but during their testing they found the battery needs to be replaced. assistant manager of the service center states that a battery replacement may or may not fix the problem. i made a case (#[xxx]) with chevrolet but the adviser received information from the dealership that was false and stated there was nothing further he could do. the information he received from the dealer is that they were waiting for me to authorize charges for additional diagnosis. i did authorize bowman chevrolet to replace the battery. my concern is that i am now taking back a car that is a safety hazard and allowing my wife to drive, and daughter to ride in, this vehicle that has a known issue. luckily for us the issue occurred at night when there was no one on the roads but if it occurred during rush hour it could cause an accident. parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The first occurrence happened 10/11/17 on i-40. my car started "jerking" and all of a sudden the car decelerated to approx 35 mph. the abs light came on. a ntfcn came on that all of my assists were off (parking, all wheel drive, traction control, stabilitrack). a ntc also appeared that said to service stabilitrak. when i go to press my brake there is a noise in the brake pedal and it "jumps" when i go to press it. we have taken it and had it put on the computer but no codes appear saying there is anything wrong with it. they say the sensors are fine. i have almost been rear-ended several times now. it happens every time i drive my car. i am too afraid to drive my car anymore. it is too dangerous. i can't afford to replace it. no dealer is going to take a faulty car and i can't afford to buy another one. we have researched the problem and found that we are not the only owners having this very same issue but no one seems to have found a resolution for their problem which leaves me very disheartened. now i am stuck in a car that can't be fixed and i have a car that i can't drive. gm needs to fix this issue before someone gets killed.

When driving the vehicle randomly pops up with a service stabilitrak/traction control message with the check engine light. the vehicle then has reduce power and issues accelerating. the same issue occur at stop lights and the car will sometime shut off an take multiple turnovers to restart. the check engine light will then randomly go away and the car start driving normally again until it re-occurs.we have already spent over 1200 dollars trying to fix the issue to no avail. this has happened numerous times with the last time listed below.

After pulling onto a highway and accelerating to 60 mph, all of the lights on the dashboard of my 2012 chevy traverse came on including traction control, battery, engine light etc came on and my vehicle lost power when pushing the accelerator. i pulled to the side of the road and turned off my engine and waited 5-10 minutes, when i restarted my engine, the dashboard lights were still on. i pulled onto the highway and the vehicle still would not accelerate faster than 30 mph so i made a u-turn in the highway, returned to my home, and the vehicle would not go up my driveway. i rolled back down the driveway and again waited on the side of the road, turned off the vehicle, and when i restarted the vehicle, made a loop in the highway and finally was able to go up my driveway to return home. fyi - i called www.safecars.gov and was told there are no recalls on the 2012 chevy traverse, and i would have to pay for it's repair even though there were 196 complaints online of other people experiencing the same issues. i have five grandkids and a disabled husband who i have to drive 80 miles to the dr 2-3 days a week. i cannot afford to pay to fix this vehicle and i received absolutely zero sympathy from the lady who answered the phone. i get that she does not do the recalls but as a person who needs my car and who is experiencing a very dangerous situation, she could offer no advice and did not complete a complaint on my behalf. it was obvious it was not her problem because she kept repeating that i would have to pay.... poor training and poor customer service skills. i have worked in government for 20+ years and i know how to speak to customers who are upset for good reason, even if i cannot give them the response they are seeking, they hang up the phone feeling like they were heard.

While driving, traction control automatically went off, then automatically went back on. happened as i was exiting a parking lot onto a busy road. went off again, then in the middle of my turn, car suddenly decelerated and i was barely able to make it into the next parking lot. gradually ramped up to about 20 mph. traction control automatically came "on" but so did the check engine light. let the car sit for about an hour and it would drive (but i did not get over 40 mph or further than around the block). check engine still on. thank goodness i was not on the interstate as had been about 15 minutes earlier.

I was driving my car on i-75. the door locks started locking and unlocking, the vehicle lost power and went from 65 mph down too 25 mph, and the traction control off and on kept switching. the vehicle would not gain speed, even while depressing the accelerator. no check engine lights or any other lights were on except for the traction control off/on lights. i was almost hit by a semi. i pulled over, shut the vehicle off for 5-10 minutes, and restarted it. no lights were on, and i attempted to drive home. while in a slow speed on a side road, approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly started locking and unlocking, and this time suddenly accelerated. i put the car in neutral. again the traction control off and on kept displaying on the dcim. each time the vehicle randomly accelerates or decelerates the doors will unlock then lock and unlock and lock, the warning chime goes off rapidly and the car will then either decelerate or accelerate. the traction control off then on then off then on comes on, and then the car is fine.

I started my car and drove out my driveway as soon as i get to the corner to turn my sterling wheel locked up and then i had to hurry up to brake in order to not hit the sign and curb. finally when it released i got to the main road and was driving about 20-25 mph my vehicle radio started to switch from fm to cd on its on and then i couldn't acellrate to a higher speed. the vehicle display showed service traction control, service stabilitrak and traction control turned off. there was some kind of engine loss but it stalled out too. this happened two times now! i see it has been a problem with the traverse since 2011 models. the chevy dealership does nothing to fix this. i am terrified to drive this car with my family and have us get in an accident. i have owned this car for 1.5 years. someone could get hurt or killed while driving one. they are not finding out the issues or recalling these vehicles!!

I bought the car 12/2015. when the engine stopped on me on 1-95 with my children and i, we were terrified. during a service in 2/2016, i found out there was a 20,000 mile discrepancy. they supposedly fixed the engine but the a/c was not covered in the standard warranty. since then, i bought my car to autonation in aprox. 12 times. last time, i bought the car over in may, i dropped in off because my car was shaking, gas was coming out the pipe and then it stopped and received my car back over 24 hours later. when i picked my car back, i received a estimate of atleast $3,000 and was told if i were to get the certain repairs done to the car, it does not mean that, my car would stop having the problem, when the car stops. again, this month, my car did the same thing and the trunk door would not stay open, i have to hold the door up with my hands. then i took it somewhere else, that repair center, stated that my computer has problems, i need a new condenser and compressor.
