I own a 2014 chevy silverado. vin: [xxx]. the ac stopped cooling. one day it was ice cold. the next day it blew hot air. i talked to my dealer and they say that it's a know issue and that gm issued a tsb for repair guidelines but have yet to issue a recall. they say the repair is between 1000.00 and 1800.00. they said i could get a refund if a recall is issued later on. they said they would look up the tsb number for me, but have not yet to given it to me. looking at multiple forums i see many owners have the same issues. several say they got the issue repaired and their paperwork stated "performed pit5337". most threads mention that this is a known mfg flaw with the hose bracket for this model. the flaw allows the hose fitting to crack over time. it appears that gm includes a support bracket with the new hose as part of the repair. that replacement bracket is gm23264893. i have an appointment with my dealer to have my vehicle checked to confirm that my issue is caused by this flaw. the did say that they have had 8 vehicles in for this repair. the dealer is ray chevrolet in foxlake, il. 847-537-3300. once i saw how many hits i got on my google search for this issue, i was shocked that there is still no recall. please help. thanks, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

The rear window of my 2014 ltz double cab reflects the climatic control panel lights back to the rear view mirror during night driving. the reflection is a severe distraction during night time driving, especially when no one is immediately behind you with their lights on. gm is aware of problem and is doing nothing about it. i've had the dealership (lotspeich in warrensburg, mo 64093) in contact with gm. gm direction is to turn down the instrument panel lights, that would be off, to reduce/eliminate reflection. this is a manufacturing/design issue causing, what i believe to be, a safety concern. to keep this reflection from distracting me i turn my mirror down, shifting the reflection, problem is i know can't see out of the rear view mirror. *js
