Driving down a paved road at apx 40 miles an hour and heard a loud sound like a shot gun going off, my driver side seat belt clamped down and the flashers on the truck turned on. startled i pulled over and had to struggle to get the seat belt off. had to shut off and restart vehicle, now seat both driver and passenger side won't work, they are locked in position. after contacting local dealer i was told i needed a new airbag control module and i had to replace both seat belts. i am bruised from the seat belt and very happy there were no other vehicles around as the disorientation from the event very well could have caused an accident.

While driving at different speeds door locks will cycle on and off, exterior lights and dash display will go off, wipers will freeze, all gauges will go zero and two or three warning lights will come on such as stabilitrak, abs brakes or service air bags. lights etc will go off for 5 seconds which is dangerous. i took it to stewart chevrolet in colma on 2/3/14, they were able to duplicate problem on road tests but were unable to guarantee a fix if they replaced the body control module or applied tsb 08-07-30-0216 doc id# 2776388. how do i get this safety issue addressed? *tr

While driving at any speed would roll down window and head lights would dim. blower for heater and defroster would cut in and out. there was a distinct odor when using defroster and then it quit all together. this was during winter which made the truck un-drivable until repaired. 10-14 day after the blower motor was replaced the oil sending unit stopped working and all warning lights were lite up. the dealer ship stated that it was a know issue with the wiring harness and needed to be replaced which was not cheap. they did say even though it is a know issue that we were responsible for the cost of repair. *tr

I purchased the 2007 chevrolet trailblazer thinking i would have a good dependable car, not so. the stabil-i trac check light comes on and then when the cat is restarted it goes off. the gas gauge has dropped to empty and will no longer indicate fuel in tank, there has been a recall notice on this , however gm is only paying for 50% of the cost of repair. i had and accident ($ 2400.00) due to this gas gauge failure, no one hurt but could have been disastrous. gm was notified and a claim filed and the results were they were not at fault. now the lowbeam lighting system on the vehicle has gone out. i have had the fuses, sensor, and the bulbs checked and no one can find the problem. i am very frustrated with gm and the fact that the cars they produce now are substandard and they are not standing behind their products.where do i turn now? i need my vehicle. *tr

2007 chevrolet silverado pickup trucks have a plastic piece holding the tail lamp in place. this is the entire light assembly unit on the rear of the truck which includes the brake lights, backup lights, running lights, parking lights, emergency flashers, turn signal, wiring harness etc., the entire rear light housing assembly. factory workers "over" torqued this plastic part at the factory. during normal driving conditions, this part breaks and the entire tail light falls off and dangles just inches above the pavement as the electrical wires are still attached to the vehicle. this is a very dangerous situation, especially if this happens at night. this happened with the right tail light at 20,000 miles which was replaced, and again with the left tail light at 46,000 miles which chevrolet refuses to take responsibility for. this is certainly a very dangerous situation which could cause injury or death if on a busy freeway at night. be careful, as you have no way of knowing this while you are driving. the entire tail light, when it falls out, is hanging and dangling about just inches above the pavement. imagine this at 65 m.p.h. another dangerous scenario would be if the tail light shatters this debris could very well hit another vehicle, motorcycle or pedestrian which could result in injury or death. or....if the wire broke and separated from the lighting assembly unit, this could very well gain speed flying through the air and hit a person, another vehicle or business/residence window/glass. i cannot stress enough how dangerous this is. chevrolet needs to recall every chevrolet and fix this dangerous problem. it is a well known problem with these vehicles and chevrolet will not accept responsibility. *tr

The brake lights do no always come one when braking, or they will go off while you have the foot on the brake pedal.. cars almost hit me, people blow their horns, because they don't think im stopping. noticed around 7,000 mi. *tr

Brake lights go out when brake pedal is release slightly, but brakes are still being applied. example - when i push the pedal down 75% and back off to 50% the brakes lights go out until i push the pedal back down. the dealer said it was working as designed, but i have nearly been rear-ended multiple times. *tr
