Frame beaming on the 2007 x tra cab classic truck. general motors campaign #pit3009j. the problem is so bad that it shakes the seat so violently that it is a health hazard to drive around. i have been driving my truck for two years now as my daily driver. the frame shakes so bad on the freeway that it has caused me back strains and neck pain when driving for over an hour. i have been to americas tire many times thinking it was a tire problem they have rebalanced the tires and even replaced the whole set with another brand with no improvement. after my recent mri from back pain i believe that driving this truck is fully to blame for my pain. two years before i had a clean ct scan with just a slight disc bulge, now all my discs are smashed known as schmor'ls depressions caused from the repeated up and down beating on my spine from driving this silverado for the last two years up and down the california freeways. there are times it shakes so bad i feel i am going to loose control of the truck. i want general motors to know how serious of a problem this is, more than a shake it is beating people like me to death and is a serious health risk. i feel i have no choice but to contact an attorney for help. *tr

I have a major rattle, and loud roaring at all speeds. i took it to the shop and they couldn't find anything. but it seems like it is getting worse i don't want my front end to fall out and kill me. could you please look in to this problem and tell me if there is a recall or notice thank you *tr
Selected adaptive equipment and suspension and body because there is no place to add tailgate and that is where he problem is - geez - that part makes no senese at all. *tr tailgate lock on riders side of vehicle does not engage properly. it has been replaced once and greased once at butch ostelete in pascagoula, ms. i called about repair but the person on the phone said they would have to charge me to repair it. the problem is you have to stick your finger in the lock pin and slide it upward to make it engage when the tailgate is closed. this has been on going since i have on the vehicle. it is a defect that could cause someone (like me) to injure their finger in the lock or jolt a persons wrist and elbows (like me) and cause harm. this defect needs to be called to gm attention and have these issues repaired.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado 1500. the contact stated that there was a rattling noise from the rear of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the rear passenger's side fractured leaf spring. two weeks after the repair was performed the rear driver's side leaf spring fractured. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000. updated 08/15/13*lj
On my silverado with just under 39,000 the left wheel bearing had to be replaced on 8/9/11. on 10/6/11 the right side had to be replaced. i contacted chevy and they will not look into any complaints on the failure of these wheel bearings with such little mileage. both times my truck had to be towed. i do travel the interstate routes and an concerned about my safety and others on the road but chevy told me "i'm entitled to my opinion." *tr
Steering wheel vibrates when applying brake pedal. this occurs when braking from speeds of 60mph or more. i had the agency inspect the brake system and alignment, while still under warranty. they stated the alignment was correct, and did not find any problems with the brake system. i asked they inspect the bearing and shaft of both front wheels, but the service form did not show they inspected it. problem persists to this day. *tr
On my 2007 chevy silverado i noticed the front tires wearing badly on the inside everybody said it was the alignment. over the phone and in person the dealership told me it was normal wear and it look like an alignment. had tires replaced and alignment checked, but it came out with in specs. next day front brakes started failing, chevy dealer said wear and tear. having the brakes looked at mech told me that right pass side rotor was beyond repair and needed to be replaced, and that the pad had ripped free on the metal bracket. went to shop to look and found all pads are ripping free from the metal causing total brake loss. problem fixed but mech. unable to bleed system properly due to faulty or crack master cylinder. dealer has passed it all off as normal wear and tear. now a complaint has been filled through gmc corp. the total loss of break pad are unknown to the drive and come on with out any warning as the break pads do not have any warning stops to inform driver of worn out brake pads i only have 18,500 miles and purchased he truck new from dealer in question. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado 1500. nine months after the contact purchased the vehicle, he had it detailed. he began noticing rust spots all over the vehicle and the undercarriage. the dealer stated that the failure was due to iron deposit from the transportation rail. an acid bath to repair the vehicle would cost $400. the repair was not performed because the vehicle was still under warranty. while backing out of the driveway, the contact heard a clanking noise. he took the vehicle back to the dealer for inspection. the dealer stopped the clanking noise; however, it recurred a week later. the vehicle has been to the shop at least eight times for the same failure, but there is no remedy to satisfy the issue. the vehicle was towed to the dealer and the contact stated that he would not accept the vehicle back unless all the failures were resolved. the failure mileage was 20,386.
I bought a 2007 cherolet silverado crew cab used (19,000 mi.) from maroone cheverolet. i noticed that the steering was shakey and there was a vibration. the salesman said that the truck had a full new car warranty and they would fix it. note: they claimed to do a 117 point check to be gm certified! this truck shakes, wobbles and rattles from driving from normal to a little bump in the road. transmission was klunking between gears, it is better, but not normal. the gas millage does not come close to the advertise sticker on window of 16 - 21 mpg. i am only getting 12 mpg in town and 17 mpg on the highway. about 75% of what was expected. the dealer claims this is an all normal with this truck! *jb
On my 2007 silverado 4x4 that now has 4,870 mi.,i'm on the 2nd set of bridgestone deuler tires. the tires won't balance properly,2 of them are out of round according to equ. used by gm dealership. the dealer also refuses to replace them again .i'm concerned that the tires could completely fail and be a safety hazard to me and others!!! *jb
