So i feel like there should be a recall if i had to read a lot of stories that are similar to mine. my vehicle was driving fine and then i get a signal on my dash as i am going up a hill saying that "engine power reduced" and my check engine light came on. i'm in the middle of a street trying to get to work and i could barely get up the hill. thank goodness there wasn't a lot of traffic that time of day. i managed to make it to a store to get it checked out and the said something about a throttle unit replacement. it is supposed to control my acceleration. this is quite dangerous to keep happening and nothing be done about it when i have seen multiple complaints on it. i just wanted to share my story too and hopefully something can be fixed.

Press on the gas and the car slows down to an almost stop position. while driving on a street or on the freeway, the car decides it wants to shut down. all electrical regarding the front and back cameras have gone black.

When i am driving my 2016 chevy malibu will reduce speed in the middle of traffic. the dash reads 'engine reduced power'. this has happened a lot times since i purchased my vehicle in september 2016. the dealership has notes of many times i have reported.

Every so often i get a stability control error on my dash as well as power engine has been reduced with a check engine light. also every time it rains my car seems to be getting wet from the interior. all back rear seats and my ceiling

The car when stop at traffic light shuts off and will not start. on star diagnostic have stated several times its due to engine issues. it sometimes seems as if it's drops in speed when driving. i was informed by the chevyland dealership that i had a software update and a thottle body injection issues that ironically my car didn't make the recall last however the same make, model cars have been listed.

'takata recall' i found 2 recalls that match the systems of my vehicle perfectly however when i put my vin in. the recalls do not come up. here are the recall numbers i am referring to. 51230, and 39440. when the engine power reduced happens usually on the highway only has happened a few times on the street. when braking a noice is coming from under the hood and the engine light comes on.

When i come to a stop the auto stop comes on but when i try to accelerate it stalls and i get a message on dash steering asst assist reduced and another message thst states service stabilitrac, then the car moves

Takata recall- my car is decreasing speed, switching gears while driving, my car keeps telling me to 'shift to park' while the car is already parked and not cutting off. the car keeps dropping to zero on my dash board while i'm driving and shaking while i'm driving. my sensor system keeps flashing 'stabilitalk' and 'steering power service, reduced speed'

Tl* the contact owns a 2016 chevrolet malibu. while driving 65 mph, the stability control and steering assist reduced warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle then shut down completely. the vehicle was towed to the contact's home. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 80,000.

Engine failure. my car went completely out while driving home. the stabikitrak pop on, engine light pop on, brakes locked up making it hard for me to stop the car in traffic. i hope they are planning on doing something about this because i shouldn't have to be afraid for my life. this car is definitely not safe.

While on vacation road trip to several northwestern states, while turning around in a parking lot, about to exit, car completely shuts off - no warning lights or nothing, just shuts off, looked under hood, nothing unusual, waited about five minutes, car started with stiil no warning lights . we were able to make it back to texas with no other problems. checked internet and there were no recalls - however there were several other occurrences of this happening to other malibus. upon return home phoned my dealership and made them aware of what happened, they informed me that they were not aware of anything like this happening, they encouraged me to file this complaint because there was nothing they could do at this time due to they have nothing stating this has happened.
