Recently reported UNKNOWN OR OTHER problems on 2016 Chevrolet Malibu

The floor under driver's seat is soft. when i place my foot down on the floor it sinks in.and the driver's seat started out with a small crack now it is broken.

The third light has caused a leaking problem into the trunk. complained to the dealership and nothing was done. it ruined the headliner and the cover that goes oer spare tire.

I took the car to the mechanic because of check engine light car wasn't acting weird or anything. they recommended replacing multifunction power supply converter, it has internal issues i approved they told me everything is fine everything cleared. the next day the vehicle started to go crazy i stated that engine light is on again car lounges forward and that the doors lock and unlock all while driving and car then just stops i had to restart it. they recommended replacing battery i approved .the same day i picked up my car check engine light showed but the next day car started to be it self again so i kept it didn't take it in.a week later the same symptoms car jolts forward,it locks and unlocks when driving and car turns off completely this time they recommended replacing negative battery cable i approved. 30 minutes after leaving the mechanics, car has the same exact previous symptoms but now car went beyond crazy, car was on drive but won't accelerate, break, and steering wheel locked, dash said (service stabilitrak) (ice possible) it hot outside. it happens when i get off freeways, when i'm driving on regular streets: doors locks and unlocks dash always say check rear door locks the, car lunges forward and then car just stops and won't go i have to turn it off then on again. just imagine if car completely stop in a freeway, i'm lucky that it gives me a warning when i hear the locks go crazy i pull over i then able to drive it slowly home and all the way home car jolts towards locks are going crazy and car stops frequently in the middle of the streets. then i'm able to take it to the mechanics like nothing ever happens to it. goes back to normal with no check engine light like nothing ever happened.

Water leaked into the body of the car through the center mount stop lamp at the top of the rear window. either the gasket was defective, or it was simply missing from the car. over time, water seeped into the car from under the drivers seat. the heat from the summer caused mold to grow on the vehicle floor boards and the drivers side seat blet. moisture in the car caused damage to the electronic components. the car is totaled and currently awaiting inspection at the chevrolet dealership in my area. *ln*tp the consumer stated he no longer owns the vehicle. *js

When stopping and starting at stoplight etc car will not engage. press has car barley moves then it will jump into gear and drive normal. this happens intermittently and it seems to happen more when engine is hot and car has been drive for a extended period.

I have taken my 2016 malibu premier 2.0 turbo to the dealership four times now for the same problem with the park assist sensors going out. now, they are out again, and the dealership wants me to pay a $250 deductible for my extended warranty to cover the repairs. i am not agreeing with this because this is the fourth time i have had my car in the dealership for repair of this same component. now the service advisor has contacted me saying the entire module has to be replaced due to a short in the system itself. i purchased the car sept. 21, 2016, it should not be having this problem over and over again so soon, now i have to pay a deductible for the same work to the done that should have been fixed properly the first time i brought the car in for this repair, instead of a simple system update. these park assist sensor alerts when someone is walking in front or behind the vehicle, as well as another vehicle being in a 'blind spot". the alert is especially helpful at night , when in an area with pedestrians and small children, and backing out of parking spots.

My vehicle has a recall 17019-stochastic pre-ignition (spi) . my vehicle was inspected on or about 07/02/18 at guarantee chevrolet in the city of santana, ca my vehicle was returned to me on or about 07/03/18. this condition has damaged my engine/motor which is in fact a result from the spi condition, the dealer is refusing to repair the damages from this narrative. i would like for the gwm system to be liable for all repairs pertaining to 17019-spi recall.

automatic gear shift failure/ shifter would not go into park when stationary 2016 brake line deterioration, brake fail while vehicle in motion fall 2017 may 2018 loss of power during highway drive at 65 mph. car towed to dealer, cause currently under investigation

When starting to progress from a stop, the malibu will not accelerate for several seconds, and then when it does go it, surges forward. it occurs intermittently, but increases over time. this all occurs with no check engine light. we have taken it to the dealer several times were they have kept it for a combined total of well over a month, but claim that without a check engine light, there is nothing that they can do. it appears to happen predominately during the spring/summer months, and is less frequent during the much colder fall/winter months. we are being told that there is nothing that can be done from the manufacturer and the dealer. my wife is refusing to drive the car for fear that her or our children will be involved in an accident if the car will not proceed once in a busy intersection.

When is this going to be a recall for this shift to park in the malibu. this causes the battery to die so both parts have to be replaced. chevy has several complaints about the shift to park. i can spend up to 10 minutes trying to get that message off. i am very disappointed that the dealers know this is an ongoing issue for the 2016 malibu but nothing is being done. i have filed a complaint! i will also be going to the media with this.

Check engine light & reduced power experiences three times while driving. poor fuel economy (since purchase of vehicle) and loss of engine oil (however not visable). miles between oil changes and issues were 5000 and 3300 (synthetic oil - should not be low & dirty in that short period of time). idling is very rough and cooling fans not shutting off. 35 days later - same issue - reduced power, oil level low, idling rough. dealer found low compression, blown piston and debris causing deep scores in bore. engine replaced. 60 days later - same issue - reduced power, idling rough, cooling fans continue to run. replaced accelerator pedal sensor. before leaving dealership, check engine light on, cooling fan continue to run after engine turned off. replaced mass air flow sensor.

The accelerator pedal or sensor appears to be defective on these vehicles. i've had to replace mine twice within the past 16 months. also, after researching several auto forums, this issue is affecting a large number of people. this defect causes the engine to reduce power, which then does not allow you to drive over 25mph. this can be extremely dangerous, especially if you are driving on an expressway when it occurs, like i was the first time the pedal went out. the 1st episode occurred 1/18, with the most recent event occurring today.

Inside the car it smells like a mold(smells like do do). the engine light came on its something dealing with cadillac converter.

Takata recall: my veichle have been having electrical issues since months now. i have been paying extra money to repairs and still doesn't get it fix. dealership doesn't know what to do anymore. my car turns off at the light to save gas but whenever i release the brake back again the whole screen goes off and back on again with the engine. sometimes i have to push it to the side of the street because it doesn't want to turn back on. mesaage on the screen says ' power steerling reduced, please drive with care' also it says sometimes ' stabilititank ' . i need help on this situation because i don't know what to do anymore. i saw a recall of 7,000 cars same type like mine on 2016 for the same issues. thank you.

The vehicle started to leak without damage. we noticed a foul smell in our vehicle. we live in florida where it rains quite often. we assumed it was our 9-year-old leaving some french fries behind when she left the day prior. we then got back into the car and noticed the floor had standing water and the back seats were wet. i looked into the trunk where the spare tire is supposed to be and saw a puddle of water. now every time it rains, it leaks and there is mold on backseat and trunk. i called cox chevrolet 2 times and left messages for them to call me back, and they haven't. after paying a large sum of money to own this, we are now in a smelly, moldy vehicle. this is something that needs to be addressed.

Every time i push the brake pedal and the auto stop engages the engine turns off, but when you take your foot off of the brake pedal the whole dash display goes out, including the turn signals. it takes about a minute for the dash to come back on. this happens several time a day, and it has been going on for at least two years. it scares me when this happens.

While driving alert on panel showed service power steering drive care when this happened car lost traction and brakes not worked properly. 3 x my car is been on davis maus sanford service last service august my car was returned 8/5/15 manager assured me it was fixed and since 3 weeks ago started again now while is park and turned off message of swift to park appeared and all electronic /radio ect start on and alarm activation doesn't work.

When parking proximity sensors and parking camera failed, a change in bcm module was needed, after that an alert on transmission system appeared including the parking system again. car has been with dealer 10 times counting almost 3months without it and without an accurate reason/solution.

I got in my vehicle after a month and drove for about 15 minutes and i notice it was not getting cool. so i took it to the dealer and i was told it was my condenser and a foreign object hit and damaged it an it was not covered under warranty. so i called gm customers i was informed that the dealer said there was a nickel size whole in the condenser. and they we're not gonna cover it but there has been other customers with the same complaints and there repairs. was covered and there is no nickel size hole in my condenser as you can see from the picture.

In dash gps system sold as a safety factor to wife when vehicle purchased. we were told at time of sale the up grades were do on a regular basic at no charge. the system got into a couple of un safe situations (directed down a incomplete road with no exit) that she required assistance via her mobile phone. to us, all safety related items that require any type of up grade should be at "no cost" to consumer. gm doesn't provide up grades to system without a charge of $ 179.00 where a garmin unit does at no charge.

The car is a 2016 malibu .while auto is running, the driver has head aches, drouseness, sickness dizzesness. eyes blurred, and just sickness! haved been blamed for cause, and cover boot at sterring collum, taken loose and thrashed under dash .with 10 thousand miles was told could not get a loner car,i live 78 plus miles from dealership .i'm disabled and believe that a new car and disabled should at least told why.have driven three months in heat ,real hot in kc,mo

Engine auto start/stop extreme safety issue (when at standstill in drive shift position) engineering modification needed engine auto start/stop needs to have a driver detector (in seat) added to prevent the car from inadvertantly driving foward without driver in the driver seat. it is especially crucial for those new drivers not used to the fuel saving start/stop engine. it happened to me recently and i was unaware car was not in park as engine was in "auto stop position" and silent. as i got out and shut door, car started to accelerate with nobody in the car. luckily i was fast enough to chase after it, open door, and slam on the brakes without incident. this has almost happened several times prior and needs to be addressed. i would reccomend putting some kind of chip in the driver seat which would deactivate the engine if driver seat is empty while car is in drive shift position. if not corrected the car could cause serious injury to pedestrians and bystanders. this should be implemented accross entire gm line as well as other manufacturers.

When driving down the road with both or one rear window down it has a buffering noise. it hurts people ears big time. so i drove a ford fusion and that car does not have the noise. i have talk to gm and the dealerships and they wont help me out. i think there should be a recall on this type of car because when they build it gm knew about the sound this car makes and how it will hurt people ears.

Takata recall- experience issues with car after two weeks of owning.car began rattle when parked, slow to accelerate "dragged". later discover after returning to shop for repair , car was sold with recall issued 25plus days prior to purchase. was not notified by dealer

Vehicle continues to have check engine light code issues that are related to sensors and computing issues. oxygen sensors, booster sensors as well as constant recoding.

For the past two years i have been experiencing a loud popping noise in the rear of my vehicle while operating it. i have taken it in for maintenance at my local chevrolet dealer however they continue to tell me that they cannot duplicate the noise. the noise sounds like it may be coming from my back axles and doesn't seem to be affected by a minimum or maximum speed. i have ensured all brackets are secured inside of my trunk as i thought there might have been something loose however, that is not the case.

Assuming that rear windshield has been leaking into trunk probably since the first rain/snow after car was purchased. (car purchased in 2016) as of august 2018, dash will prompt to shift into park once vehicle is turned off even though car is in park. vehicle must be turned off and on multiple times because warning goes away.
