Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while pulling into the driveway, the vehicle could not be shifted into park. the contact had to engage the emergency brake in order for the vehicle to remain in park. in addition, the power trac control warning indicator illuminated. o'connor chevrolet buick gmc (199 riverside dr, augusta, me 04330) was contacted and stated that the vin was not included in a recall. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and the failure recurred. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign numbers: 12v460000 (power train) and 14e044000 (steering), but the vin was not included. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
I was stopped, went to accelerate, and sudden hard shift as it accelerated. after a few miles, lost all gears after 2nd gear.on interstate at time when lost gears & close to getting into major accident. took it to asc certified mechanic to learn that the transmission failed, wiring from battery to started burned up,battery failurem alternator failed, and ecm failed as well. repair cost approx $4600.00. service airbag light & check engine light on also & p0013 code. looked up veh history, shows recalls on some of this were supposedly performed, but hard to believe. 6 speed transmission, so gm won't honor.
Takata recall my car made a hum sound while accelerating when i just got in it on my 2 minute journey home. while going straight, the car no longer continued to accelerate and stopped on the street. after restarting the car, the engine light turned on and would still not move in any gear.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that the vehicle was unable to properly change gears when needed. byford chevrolet buick gmc (7755 us-81, duncan, ok 73533, 1-(888) 397-6541) was contacted. an independent mechanic diagnosed that the transmission assembly needed to be replaced. the manufacturer issued 54 tsbs for the power train, but no recall was issued. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 12v460000 (power train). the manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. the approximate failure mileage was 96,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated abnormally and stalled. the esc, reduced engine power and the traction control lights were illuminated. the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to two different dealers, including the mcgrath auto dealer, located at 1548 collins rd ne, cedar rapids, ia 52402) where it was diagnosed that the power torque sensor needed to be replaced or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure the first time and referred the contact to the dealer at no charge. the manufacturer was not made aware of the recent failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
While driving the car through a intersection the car seemed to loose power. the car was able to only be moved when put into 2nd gear with the manual mode. reverse was gone. this happened all of a sudden with no issues to the transmission before hand.
Transmission failure, car will turn off on interstate or highway without warning, car will shut down while driving , roll backwards, won't accelerate. had to get towed 3 times! after new transmission , sensors and fuel pump injector , the car is still doing the same thing ! this is a safety hazard and a lack of responsibility for defected products and price gauging mechanics ! problem is still existing. i see this car is under many recalls and the transmission was built in korea!
My right front headlight (regular low beam) keeps going out and having to be replaced. my mechanic replaced it in july of this year, and again in october, and it is out yet again, not even two months later. my mechanic can't find any reason for it. in addition, my service air-bag light is on, although it's never gone off, and the entire transmission had to be replaced at about 63,000 miles. regarding the light - so far, i've been lucky that it hasn't contributed to any kind of accident, especially since deer are very active at this time of year and are very common in our area.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while driving 75 mph, the electronic stability control active and check engine indicators illuminated. the contact mentioned that the vehicle decelerated from 75 mph to 40 mph. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 130,000.
We only have chevy's however our malibu 2010 with only 73,000 miles while driving on the interstate at 65mph it suddenly stopped going. you can accelerate but it doesn't not go forward or back. it was late when it went out and a very dangerous situation. our car was purchased and maintained from dealer and at this mileage with no warning, no noise, no fluid leak, nothing. situation is very frustrating. i'm not sure i'm a gm fan anymore we will see how the respond to this situation.
Car just stopped without warning! very scary situation! fortunately no other car crashed into me but that would've been a likely scenario. not only a costly repair but an extreme safety issue. $3400 to repair! apparently and unfortunately i'm not alone. chevy should step up and help us all out. like many others, never a chevy again!
Power reduced engine, traction control,
Have a 2010 malibu with approximately 112,000 miles on it. car is well maintained and has had regular maintenance / vehicle inspections (including a week prior to incident). i was out running errands and had stopped at a stop light. a few minutes later as i was turning on to the highway, the car jolted forward and then refused to accelerate. fortunately, i was able to maneuver it over to the side of the highway without any problems. car could not be driven and had to be towed to my mechanic and it was determined that my transmission was shot and would need to be replaced. very costly repair that needed to be done as it is my only vehicle. seems to be an issue with 2010 malibus that needs to be addressed!!!
I was driving at a speed of 40 mph when all of a sudden i heard a high revving sound as if another vehicle was right beside me passing and soon realized that it was my car revving with the rpm gauge going above 3 and my car slowing down. moments later my passengers and i felt a sudden "jerk" and the car jetted forward only to start revving again and this time i was merely moving at about 20 mph as i was still in shock from the first revving and non-accelerating moment. after trying helplessly to get the car to move at a speed of at least 15-20 mph, i decided to stop/restart the car and try using the manual shift. it gave another sudden "jerking" movement and moved in m5 but not even 10 seconds the car started with the loud revving sound as if i were mashing gas which i wasn't and we barely made it home at about 10mph using hazard lights. we basically had to push it over 2 very small speed bumps on the way in the gate. i decided to take it to the autonation shevy dealership where i bought it but unfortunately the car would not move and instead had to be towed there. autonation chevy did a "diagnosis" of sorts and within moments called to say that there is metal in the transmission and i need to pay a whopping $4,300.00 to have it fixed. of course i could go on about how frustrating and humiliating this whole ordeal has been from beginning to $$$$ end bud i'd appreciate it if chevy can reach out to me because i have a friend who said she had the same issue with her malibu. i'm sure there are others out there but i'm now wondering if chevy wants to wait until god forbid a dire situation occurs before they fix this problem.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while driving at unknown speeds, the revolutions per minute increased to 4,000 and the vehicle failed to shift gears. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission and wave plate needed to be replaced. the local dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified and did not assist. the failure mileage was 67,000.
Takata recall my 2010 chevy malibu was in park and turned off. turned on the car put it in drive and drive tondrive forward and the car wouldn't move. it sounds like it's accelerating but the car won't move at all. put car in park and it will reverse fine. goes into park and works in neutral. anytime i try to go forward the car won't go anywhere. it's not making any sounds everything sounds normal. i have been told i need a new transmission by a couple different car shops and that the trasmossion cooling pipe is broken by chevy.
Malibu decreases speed and downshifts and engine power reduced comes up in message center, no bumps, hard braking, no carwashes, simply driving down the road at 45mph and car illuminates engine light. several parts have been replaced already for example throttle body, knock sensor, maf sensor, battery, fuse box, accelerator pedal all of these parts and my issue still persists. several complaints have been made for this year make and model therefore i do not feel like this is an isolated issue.
Power steering warning is come on when try to start car . not safety to drive .what to do???
My 2010 malibu 2lt 6 cylinder engine has a wave plate failure. this causes revving of the engine non-movement low speeds and it comes and goes as it wants. general motors has not included this even though this car was built in 2009. in which an extended warranty was issued for this ecact problem see gm bulletin # 14404 this dangerous and also a very expensive repar.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while driving and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. there were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission failed. the dealer (chevrolet 21, 1100 hellertown rd, bethlehem, pa 18015) was contacted, but the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 71,694. *js
I was driving on the i89 north in concord, nh when the car suddenly stopped accelerating and the rpms went really high. i heard a spinning noise - like something was spinning at a high rate of speed. pressing the gas peddle didn't increase the cars speed. then i shifted to the manual mode and tried to use the gear shifting paddles to shift. i was able to get it to a gear to get me to the next exit even though it kept shifting in and out of gear while i proceeded slowly off the highway. the check engine light came on steady. at highway speeds this was a very dangerous situation that put myself and everyone around me at risk of a major accident. once i was off the highway and safe, i plugged in my diagnostics tool i carry in my car (i took a auto repair class a few years back). the diagnosis codes the cars computer provided are p0776 and p0700 - indicating a major malfunction of the transmission and a solenoid problem. i took a photo of the codes. i found out today that there is an extended warranty for the same issue on the 2009 chevy malibu's. the extended the warranty from 5/100k to 10/120k. clearly gm should do the same for the 2010 models as well. it's the same 6 speed transmission.
I purchased a brand new 2010 chev malibu 2lt seven years ago. it's automatic, has low miles, well serviced, and excellent upkeep. since ownership, i've not had any major problems. however, recently, while driving, and going from low to highway speed, i noticed the car intermittently "jerked". it seemed almost as if gears were slipping and getting stuck. i thought, this couldn't be safe. unfortunately, i had to get my towed for service after the vehicle wouldn't move because it wouldn't change gears. after having the diagnosed, i was told the transmission failed due to some "internal defect" in it. i could not believe it! absolutely unconscionable! i did some research and learned gm had some recalls between 2008 - 2010 due to transmission problems. i loved my malibu 2lt prior to receiving this news about the transmission. it appears, gm needs to take another look at the safety and performance on the transmissions of the 2010 malibu.
I have 2010 chevy malibu i love my car it has never given me any problems the whole 3 years of owning it just the normal maintenance. one day i was driving at a speed of 25 mph and i crossed over an intersection and as soon as i did so i pushed to gas pedal to accelerate a little and i noticed that it wasn't going. this was very dangerous because i had my children in the car and another vehicle was right behind me and could have caused a car crash. i didn't realize that the car had shut off because everything was still work radio was on , lights were working. so i pulled over and turned the car completely off and when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't start. the engine just kept turning over and not getting a good spark. and it also caused the battery to fail so i had to get a new battery. i changed the camshaft sensor, the crankshaft sensor and the car is still doing the same thing. this is a huge inconvenience for me because no one can find out what the problem is because the battery died o lost all diagnostic codes. now what?
Driving on the freeway going 60 and the car started revving really high until i got my speed down to forty and it wouldn't go more than 40. when i stopped to let car cool and i restarted it, i drove it around the block a few times and it started the same revving and not going faster tnan 40. i tried to back the car into my driveway and it would not go.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. after a complete stop with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate without warning. the vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic, but could not be diagnosed due to no warning sensors. a day later, an unknown indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent auto shop where it was confirmed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. the mechanic recommended the vehicle be taken to a transmission independent dealer. the contact called a local dealer (don brown chevrolet, 2244 s kings highway blvd, st. louis, mo, 63110) where it was determined that the vehicle was not under warranty. no further assistance was offered. the vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic and the transmission was rebuilt. the manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 8-3433690388. the dealer could not assist and referred the contact to nhtsa. the failure mileage was approximately 65,505.
Transmission completly went out with no warning crossing a busy intersection. no lights came on, no noises, would barely go then jerked and excelleration noise as if i reved engine up but i didn't then pulled into parking spot and it wouldnt go into gear and would not move. when started later that day it ran fine and 2 minutes from home it did the exact same thing but now will not move at all and just whines. i read this is an ongoing issue for this model car and gm will not cover bc warranty rums oit before the 5 year 60,000 miles. something needs done about this. my car only has 57000 miles on it.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that while driving at 25 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to respond. the contact stated that there was an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. the contact stated that the vehicle lacked forward momentum. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the wave plate in the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 76,633. *ln consumer stated on 9/17/11 car not getting power. made loud noise drove appox. 15 miles. took cat to menke motor, transmission failed had engine repaired for $2300.00 updated 7/24/18*jb
Power steering failed for the second time on september 10, 2017. i had to replace the steering column in november 2016 for the same condition. there is a recall for chevy malibus up until the 2009 model year and clearly there is a weakness in the 2010. this failure was while i was parked in a tight spot and couldn't get out. i restarted the car until it recalibrated, but it will undoubtedly go again. repeat of previous problem. also had to replace the transmission after complete failure at 48,000 miles in january 2017. that was a mere $4600. it failed while in motion, but fortunately i was uphill from my home and i was able to roll it to the curb.
While in motion on the freeway, my vehicle began would not speed up when i stepped on the gas. the car revved up but it would not speed up. i continued to slow down as cars approached me from behind. i was afraid they might hit me so i moved to the side of the road. i tried to accelerate while on the side of the road but it would only rev up and not move. i switched the gearshift several times between park, neutral, reverse and drive. i could only go a few feet at a time. the car was towed to my parents house and sits there today because mechanics said that i needed a new transmission.
Since i drove this car off the lot in 2010, once every six months or so, this car will suddenly downshift greatly reducing the speed. it is the equivalent of engine braking. it was under an unfixed recall when i purchased it. the dealership, parkway chevrolet, made multiple attempts to fix the problem, but it still persists to this day. given the sudden deceleration that this causes, and the only resolution is to turn the car off and restart it, i feel this problem can cause death to the occupants of the car. the most common time that this happens is when the driver is changing lanes and they go over a raised lane marker - one of those little dots separating lanes in the southern states. the last time this happened was two days ago.
Transmission shifter cable came loose from the transmission. placed the car in park but it continued to move. cable is missing center piece (clip?) that holds it to transmission lever. this car was recalled and "fixed" for this condition less than 4 years ago. obviously their repair is inferior......if indeed it was done as they claim. original recall number is 12v460000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to respond. the vehicle was taken to the reichard chevrolet dealer located in brookville, oh to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the wave plate located in the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was currently being repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while driving 60 mph, the gear shifted into neutral without warning and the vehicle began to slow down. the contact was able to coast the vehicle off to the side of the road. the vehicle was shut off and the contact waited for five minutes. the vehicle was able to restart and operated normally; however, the failure recurred another day. in addition, while at a complete stop, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle jolted as if it were going to stall. the contact observed that the gear shifted into neutral. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (fellers chevrolet, 715 main st, altavista, va, 24517) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be rebuilt or replaced. the dealer stated that the vin was not included in an open recall. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 12v460000 (power train). the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted and made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 152,000.
I purchased this car brand new in 2010 with 5 miles on the vehicle. the car was serviced regularly at my local dealership. i first reported that the transmission occasionally "bumped" when the vehicle had around 30, 000 miles. after checking out the car, i was told they didn't see an issue. i replaced the timing chain approximately 90,000 when i took her in for her 100,000 service. within 4,000 miles of this complete check-up and very costly service, the transmission went out completely ! i contacted my local dealership and asked it there was a recall after discovering that numerous complaints had been made on the malibu for this exact same issue. i then contacted gm and was told that there wasn't anything they could or were willing to do to help offset this cost etc. there is no way the transmission should go out completely in a 2010 vehicle that has only 100,000 miles on it that had just been checked over completely by the dealership. i realize that my car is 7 years old and would have loved for this to be covered completely, but honestly, i would have settled for a little compensation and genuine concern. i took my vehicle to aamco where is cost me in excess on $3,000 to have the broken wave plates replaced. i would like to know how many complaints have been filed against malibu transmission issues and seek restitution if that is a possible outcome.
Transmission suddenly failed while driving on a street. car only had 70,000 miles. later discovered it was due to a broken gear shaped part of the transmission. shows bad quality, should not fail at 70k miles.
Almost caused a major accident when trying to accelerate into 65 mph traffic and rpm's red lined and i am not going anywhere and i almost get hit from behind with on-coming traffic. no 3rd or 5th gear. also, found no reverse once i was able to get to safety. turns out to be a failed 3-5-r wave plate. scary stuff when you are red lining and going nowhere! sent information to chevrolet as it turns out this is a known problem (cracked 3-5-r wave plate) for 2008-2009 and all these parts fail at less than 100k miles. trouble i am having is that chevrolet claims i do not have the defective wave plate in my 2010, yet the failure is exactly the same as the recall for earlier models. $4000 later and no help from gm. yet, if you go on line, tons of people have the same wave plate problem at less than 100k miles for cars later than 2009. very unsafe and dangerous situation. i was fortunate to not get rear ended by a car in merging traffic. others may not be so lucky. gm needs to admit the transmission design flaw with the wave plate and recall all malibu cars from 2008-2012 before someone gets seriously injured. my claim is if i have the same wave plate issue as the recalled vehicles then either i do not have the new/improved wave plate specification or it's an inherent design flaw. either way, gm should recall this problem for safety reasons. i have attached the sb for 2008-2009.
I was driving and then came to a stop to pull on a major highway. when i turned on the high way my malibu wouldn't accelerate and acted as if it was in neutral, as a semi pulled up behind me i had to put it almost in a ditch so i wouldn't get hit. my mechanic says its the 3,5,r wave plate and that he looked at all the malibu forums online and found out that many people have had this happen. i contacted gm and they told me there was nothing they could do. never buying a chevy again. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. while driving the vehicle, it lost power and shut off. an hour later the vehicle was able to restart, but shut off again after approximately three minutes. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch wave plates (3rd, 5th, and 10th) failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 40,006.
While driving down the highway in traffic, the transmission started to act like it was going into neutral, slipping shifts without power in the flow of traffic. with intermittent transmission power this caused a serious situation in traffic. i was luckily able to get out of traffic and limp it home. this transmission has 94,000 miles on it. i took the car to the chevrolet dealer, they took the transmission apart and the transmission suffered the 3-5-r wave plate failure, the plate has a flaw that causes it to break apart and just chew up your transmission, this part is a common failure that breaks and a full rebuild of the transmission is required. the mechanic told me this is an engineering flaw and the new parts that are used to rebuild the transmission are re-engineered to fix the problem. this is a 6t40 transmission, the bigger brother to this transmission the (6t70 and 6t75) has already been recalled for this engineering failure. chevy know about this failure but is not recalling the transmission and refuses to fix it. it cost me 2500 dollars and its a driving hazard when the transmission goes out in traffic. this is a documented failure and hazard and needs to be recalled.
Vehicle hesistates and aquire high acceleration then jerks hard into first gear.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was able to be restarted on the first attempt. the failure recurred and the vehicle failed to shift into gear. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission had a design flaw and needed to be rebuilt. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 109,673.
I took my car to the chevrolet dealership to diagnose a check engine light. the car was suddenly losing power when accelerating and the reverse gear would, at times, fail to engage. the loss of power occurred at speeds above 20 mph. the dealership said that the problem is with the transmission's 3-5-reverse gear. after doing some research, i found that others have had this exact problem with this car. in 2015 gm issued a special policy (bulletin no. 14404, dated march 2015) for the 2007 to 2009 chevy malibu (6 speed model) that covers the 3-5-reverse wave plate repair for 10 years or 120,000 miles. also, i noticed on the diagnostic sheet that the dealership omitted the production date of the vehicle but it was obviously manufactured in 2009. the 'in-service date' is 12/15/09. based on the situation i have experienced with my car, they did not fix this defect when they introduced the 2010 model. i explained the above circumstances to the chevrolet dealership and also to their corporate customer service representative but they refuse to cover the repairs for their manufacturing defect. please help.
On august 21, 2016 i place my car in reverse to back up out of a parking space in a residential parking lot. then i attempted to place my car into drive to pull off and the gear shift moved but my car started rolling backwards. so immediately stepped on my emergency brakes so the car would stop. i look at my gear shift and saw it was still in reverse. i played with the gears moving the level back and forth but the car remain in reverse so i turned my car off. when i went to turn the car back on, my car wouldn't start. not knowing what to do but guessing it was something wrong with the gear shift, with the help of some citizens we tried to push the car back into a parking space. i then called a tow truck to come tow my truck to the closest chevrolet dealership, lucky me was only 23 miles away. i had a friend come pick me up and take me home where i went online and began doing some research on this part. that's when i came across the recall ref this part . unknown to me because i never received a letter. the next day the dealership called me and advise me that my transmission gear shift cable needed to be replace. they stated they didn't show any recalls on my vin no#,so the cost was my responsibility. i called the nhtsa inquiring about everything relating to recall. they could only confirm there is a recall but my vin is not included. currently my vehicle is at the dealership waiting to be repaired because they have to order the part.i am very upset because everyone keeps stating recalls are based on the probability of the problem happening to certain cars. well i am hear to say my vin was not included but it happen to my car. i could has easily rolled into another vehicle or something else and hurt myself or someone else's property. i can't believe when you have 100's of thousand of cars recalled that the manufactured, in this case gm catches them all.
As i pulled out from work, i noticed that as the car should have been going into second or third gear, the rpm's just revved. i was heading down a hill at the time, and when it got to around 30-35 mph, the gear caught (thank goodness because it was starting to get a bit scary at that moment) and was able to be driven like normal. i had a few stop lights along the way home, and each time that i came to a complete stop and then started driving, the same thing would occur. as i got home, i called the nearest dealership, david stanley chevrolet here in oklahoma city, to make an appointment to have it looked at. it sat in the garage for the duration of the weekend, and then i took it in this morning (monday aug.22nd) for my appointment. as i was driving from my house to the dealership (around 8 miles) i noticed that it had gotten worse. a few times on the trip i did not think that it was going to make it the whole way there and then about a mile or so from the dealership, the check engine light came on. later, i had to go in reverse after i arrived and found that the car would not shift into reverse. i dropped it off to have them do the diagnostic on it for $120. as i got home, my wife and i did some research on our car, trying to figure out what it might be while the diagnostic was taking place. i have to say that i was shocked by what i found. website after website with comments from other chevy malibu owners ranging from 2000, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 describing the exact same issues i was having. all describing a "broken 35r wave plate" that results in a "loss of reverse gear, slipping or harsh 3rd or 5th gear shift". .

I was getting on i10 as i began to merge onto the interstate my car came to crawl did it start to gain power allowing me to merge onto i10 safely. so i thought. as i was reaching 70mph the car stalls ( no steering no engine power) on my dash board it read reduce engine power service traction ! wth out of know where this happen the dash didnt read that till my car stalled and all power was loss. mind u i have a toddler and an [xxx] with me in a stalled vehicle on the interstate. i called gm they said i had no recall on my car due to my vin my car at the time was at 65000 mile. that was maybe 1 yr ago starting 7/17/16 at 163000 miles my car stalled twice my service traction control reduce engine power light came on after the car stalls looses power! called the dealer ship to make an appt for monday because i work and i have two kids this is supposed to be my realibile car. i am scared to drive it to the dealer ship come monday becauuse i feel it is a danger for me and my family. it stalls with no warning what so ever it takes 20 minutes to start up after a stall out! it is not safe if my car is not in the recall how is it that my car has the same problems as other s?
Takata recall my car started to slow down to 35 to 40 mph in the middle of traffic and i call to see if there was a recall and i was told for some models but not mine and it's doing the same as the other cars it's not safe.
First repair, airbag service required. the dealership claimed it was a loose wire. 2nd repair, esc maintenance required, traction service required, engine power reduced, vehicle will not leave neutral. if gas is applied vehicle jumps and shakes. 3rd is same as 2nd and 4th visit is same as previous except when i received ownership of the vehicle it could not make it out of the parking lot. after mentioning the lemon law the dealership is now trying to blame this technically 5th visit on an ignition coil even though esc maintenance message was displayed with traction control, engine pwr reduced, the vehocle was still shakig, and now the check engine light is on when it wasn't before.
Will not shift into park, checked and found plastic tabs that hold transmission shift cable together were broken as indicated in gm recall notice 12106c. contacted dealer and was told this recall does not affect my car's vin. (see attached photo)
