We have classified the 4 complaints from 2007 Chevrolet HHR about EXTERIOR LIGHTING into the following categories.
I have a problem with my headlights mainly on the driver side i have to use my high beams in order to see something and that's when i'm in motion or not. then now my steering i don't know what's wrong with it but i can start my car up and i can drive and all the sudden my steering wheel gets hard to where i can't turn it, it's hard to turn. my electrical in my vehicle it is very bad my radio keeps popping on and off. i have to hit my headlights to keep thm on and it keeps going on and off and i'm guessing this due to my electrical.
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet hhr. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the turning signal warning indicator did not work properly when making a turn. the contact had to manually turn off the warning signal instead of it turning off automatically once the turn was completed. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repair. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 75,000.
2007 chevrolet hhr. consumer writes in regards to vehicle headlight and tail light issues. consumer also has seat belt problems. *smd the consumer stated the tail light went out so often, he carried spares with him. the over head light shorted out. also, the key would hang up in ignition, which made it difficult to disengage, the shifter would also become stuck in park. the gears did not match up with the gear shift lever. *jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet hhr. the contact stated that while traveling various speeds, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. the contact also mentioned that the headlights and instrumental panel lights intermittently failed and the vehicle erroneously accelerated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who was not able to diagnose the failures. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet hhr. while driving approximately 20 mph in the driveway, the contact heard a loud clanging noise underneath the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the front rotors were resurfaced. the failure persisted. the vehicle was taken to the dealer four times for the similar failure; and the drivers side sway bar was replaced. also, on a separate occasion the technician advised that the front and rear rotors be replaced; yet, they were not replaced when the complaint was filed. the failure mileage was 11,000. updated 1/25/11 *cn the check engine light illuminated, the outside door handle was peeling, the sway bar and drivers side headlight were replaced. updated 04/21/11
Where the driving lights should be the plastic inserts that fill that space blow out and lodge in the inside of the fender this has happen two at lease 2 hhr's that i know of. *tr
