Done a oil change and about 3 weeks later no oil. had to change the camshaft sensor and now throwing the code 420. runs sluggish and exhaust is now blowing through the vents.
Burning oil. i got an oil change and within less than a month i had no oil in my car. not use and driven a lot either.
At least every 3 months tired pressure is off then a sensor then the car starts turning off on me and i have to take it back to the dealer.
Today 08/9/2019 my wife showed me where she saw smoke coming from under the glove box it did melt the plastic cover,no one will help me with lift gate goes up 1/4 way down,up the all the way down have gotten it 3 times in the head i have told catalano motors about it when i bought it never got fixed.rear window on pass side never worked and light don't go on when you open rear door, manual transmission never worked,no offence but i would rather have my 75 delta 88 i'm just not pleased with the vehicles.miss having my 97 f150 thank you for your time, also the lift gate would go up and down by itself with keys in my hand i really wish i could afford to get new or diff kind of vehicle.
Vehicle will stop while driving, sitting at light, and driveway.. i have to continue putting oil in every other day. power steering light came on, unable to start my vehicle or roll windows up. doesn't want to start now.
The transmission control module (tcm) has failed. when the vehicle is started the check engine light comes on. when the vehicle is put into either "r" or "d" the vehicle lurches, and the "r" or "d" flashes. when this occurs the vehicle is not operable. pressing the accelerator - the vehicle does not move forward. this condition will also occur during operation of the vehicle without warning. regardless of travel speed at the time, the vehicle will slam into a low gear. this creates a very serious safety risk. on a wet, snowy, or icy road it would surely cause the operator to loose control and cause an accident. my particular vehicle has less than 38,000 miles. for the transmission control module (tcm) to fail on a vehicle with this few miles is totally unacceptable. for it not to be warrantied is also not acceptable, and a calculated decision on the part of the manufacturer to avoid liability for an issue it is aware of that regards the safe operation of its vehicles. upon research, there are several other complaints of this same nature on-line. a recall should be issued. *tr
The vehicle turned completely off, could not get key out of ignition and electrical system was totally done. i had to get it towed to repair shop. i paid 1500 to get it back on. r stopped in the middle of highway while driving. repaired it by changing timing chain and a month layer the electrical system went out again while waiting at a stop light. no warning just turned completely off and had to get it towed again to caar repair shop. i was told that it was probably.tje transmission or engine. not worth the price of repair because it would probably end up costing more than the car was worth.
Since april 2018 i have been experiencing issues with my vehicle when coming to a slow stop. initially i thought the issue had to do with my brakes. i have taken the vehicle in to the brake shop three times since april 2018 and they had repeatedly told me the brakes are not the issue. i had my check engine light come on in december 2018 so i took my vehicle into the huber chevrolet in omaha for an oil change even though it was not due yet for another 3 weeks. i was never told during this visit that my oil was low. on march 7th, 2019 the check engine light came on again so i took it in again the same day even though it wasn't due for an oil change for another 1000 miles. i was told my vehicle was 3 qts low on oil. i was also told of this "special policy". i was asked to bring my vehicle back in after 500 to 700 miles to have the oil consumption tested. i was told my vehicle's "policy" only lasted til may 2019 which is just a ...
To whom it may concern, i am emailing you regarding my 2012 chevy equinox and a rear main seal issue. i found the below service bulletin regarding special coverage in march of 2015 regarding the issue related to my vehicle. i was not informed of this issue in purchasing my vehicle from team one chevrolet in charlotte, mi and i have received any assistance from gm. i have basically been told that it is too bad that my vehicle is not part of the associated vins that will actually fall within this coverage. on monday, january 21st we had exceptionally cold weather in lansing, mi and my rear main seal broke. this was due to default from the pvc, which is stated in this bulletin. upon reaching out to my local dealership, this issue is not covered. in reading the bulletin, my car is one of the impacted cars; however, my vin does not match the list of 'impacted' vins. there is no location where the 'impacted" vins are located for public view and i am very disappoint with the way gm is and has handled this issue. how it is possible ...
My 2012 equinox has about 122,000 miles on it. i bout it in 2012, new. about 3 weeks ago, it frequently began to jerk and almost stall out when in drive and at a stop. i would have to put it in neutral most times to keep it from jerking so hard. it also ran very loudly. then a few days ago the engine light came on, but then went off after i filled up my gas tank. i took my car to the dealership yesterday and they said my car was low on oil, so i told them that it was due for an oil change and they did. but the also said that i needed to replace my timing chain, which would be about $2000 dollars and they said that my car may be burning oil and if that's the case then i would need to replace timing chain and pistons and the price would be double. i picked my car up yesterday after the oil was changed and the care drove fine. then, this afternoon while in the car line to pick up my son from school. my car completely stalled out while in drive and at ...
Water pump leak
Briefly, for the last month and a half i have experienced rough idle on start and rough idle & stall with the car losing power and going dead at red lights and in traffic while in drive. i took the car to the auto mechanic and stored codes suggested replacing o2 sensors, the catalytic converter and a tune-up would resolve the issue; i replaced all of the above to the tune of 1400.00; the issue of rough idling, stall & losing power, going dead at the light/ sitting in traffic has not resolved. the 2012 equinox is not safe to drive; it just keeps stalling and going dead/losing power while in drive. i have spent almost 1400.00 trying to diagnose and fix this issue since december 1. my car does not have the cel but still idles roughly, stalls and loses power/stops randomly at red lights and in traffic. i have been unable to safely use the 2012 equinox for approximately three out of the four weeks of december. out of frustration i googled my experiences with the car and discovered that this apparently is a common issue that was found in the 2011 model (see nhtsa id# 10430919; ...
My equinox began "bucking" one evening on my way home from work. i have changed the oil regularly (every 5000 miles) and was unaware of any issues with this model having excessive oil consumption problems. i brought to my local mechanic- he informed me that there was actually oil in the tailpipe and that these vehicles were known for having oil consumption issues. i arranged to have the vehicle towed to a chevrolet dealer- i did not want to drive it as it was a huge safety concern with the engine bucking and possibly stalling in traffic. the chevrolet dealer had it for the whole week and eventually told me it had "jumped timing". joe the service manager at central chevrolet in west springfield, ma told me they would have to see if there was further damage - ie to the valves. so the next call i get is from the warranty administrator at the dealer- she tells me i need a new engine and that chevrolet will cover 30% of the replacement - would i like to have it done? i ask her- well you tell me they will cover 30% but ...
Intake camshaft actuator solenoid valve. i had the oil consumption services completed last october 2017 and this year in october 2018 i had to have the camshaft actuator solenoid valve replaced to which everyone i know with an equinox that is older than 2016 is having to have this part replaced on their vehicle. i feel that with such a drastic amount of vehicles having this fixed if it wasnt apart of the oil consumption parts to have replaced it should have been because it really appears to be a largely replaced item costing people over $200 to have fixed. this part causes your vehicle when at lower speeds to stall out over and over until it just wont go. it started with a rough idle. then when accelerating at low speeds the vehicle would stall out. finally it would stall while i was driving at low speeds.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chevrolet equinox. while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle lost power and the check engine indicator illuminated. the vehicle restarted, but the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but they did not assist. the contact replaced the actuator, but the failure recurred. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 112,000.
