When turning on the car a number of "idiot" lights would turn on. for example, emergency brake when the emergency brake was not on. additionally, the digital screen gave me service messages such as "service parking assist", "service theft deterrent" and others. while driving, the radio suddenly shut off and all my dashlights turned off then came back on for a moment then turned off again. my rpm, mph, gas gauge, and temperature gauges were also not working. the entire digital screen on the dashboard did not give speed, tire pressure, oil pressure, or any other readings.all of these things occurred while parked and driving. i was driving on both city streets and a highway.
Started car and it randomly the service stability trak light came on. started to drive home and car started sputtering and shaking as if it wanted to cut off. got home turned the car off and back on the light went off but car still sputters and shakes and hesitates to accelerate.
Car surges, engine loses power off, c/s traction control/stabilitrac light comes on dash, door locks activating on their own, we have put new battery new negative cable with new bolt. car at speed 60- 65 this happen, driving on highway and interstate. i drove car 3 times happened, tech drove car this happened, car been checked at dealer 3 times and still at dealer as of 11/16/2019
I bought the car used. after a few days i heard a ticking under the hood & also when i got to 60 mph i could feel vibration in the gas pedal & sounded like a bumble bee under the hood. i took it to dealership i bought it from. they said that with the lt1 it offs common noise for the purge solenoid to make the ticking noise that it was normal. the vibration they said was a pebble got under motor mount & was causing vibration. he got the pebble out & readjusted. a week later was doing it again & the ticking noise was alot worse. he finally changed the purge solenoid & it still ticked but not nearly as bad. but he said he couldn't hear the noise at 60 mph & only a little of the vibration in pedal. i'm really regretting buying this car. if i knew it would have all these issues i could of kept driving my older car with no car payment. he said that chevrolet knew about the purge solenoid issue but haven't fixed it. car had 87k miles when i bought it & now has 90k. after we bought 1 of the salesmen referred to it as a throw away car. yeah i just threw away 11k getting it
Does'n keep time/when you turn off
Car overheat, the electric fan assembly wires melted and was burning, the fan ceased to work, no warning was given. the vehicle was in motion on city/township streets. the heater core is leaking, so after replacing all other components and a pressurized test, that is the problem. the vehicle is stationary for leak to be seen.
My dashboard lights begin flashing, the radio turns off, the blinker sound stops working, the antilock brake system, service traction system, service stabilitrac and steering vehicle messages flash on the dashboard. i saw this issue reported in a gm bulletin https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2015/sb-10057574-8899.pdf but my dealership said my car isn't affected even though it is that year, make, and model and the same exact things are happening. it happens when i am driving, it started off once or twice a trip, now it is constantly happening so much so i cannot even listen to music. it seems to happen more often when i am in stop/go traffic.
Chevrolet and pontiac cannot do a diagnostic unless we pay the cost on what ever vehicle being recalled. they told us to schedule a diagnostic test and pay for it and any necessary repairs also. they also said the vehicles warranties has expired. so the defects are the customers fault for purchasing their products. they have us pending for and unknown reason. when they first called they did mention a $500.00 voucher or a new car, but that came to pass also. someone name .... regional supervisor told us that, and it was all lies. we still pending....this is a follow up claim # 8-4866033982.
While driving on the interstate around 70mph, the radio and dash lights flickered on and off, and the service stabilitrak light came on the dash. it appears to be the same issue as sb-10057574-8899.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet cruze. while driving 70 mph, the key fob fell out of the ignition switch and caused the vehicle to shut off. the vehicle was taken to champion chevrolet of avon (183 s county rd 525 e, avon, in 46123, 317-350-1023) where it was diagnosed that the key fob was fractured. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. the failure mileage was 108,872.
The car just clicks and will not start and maybe 10 mins later it will start. dealer say eletrial is not covered under warranty and the recall for the negative battery cable is not under my vin even though all the other 2011 to 2015 chevy cruzes are. also 3 weeks ago the dash went crazy and stable control light and asb call came on and car was uncontrolable to drive turn off and restarted it and the was fine until now
Vehicle went in for recall (15594: emissions recall ' nox position 1 sensor replacement ' 2014-2015 chevrolet cruze) they replaced the part and 13 months after the part failed again. the engine light went on. the manufacturer should be responsible for once again another faulty part. vehicle is still at the dealership and they said that it is 1 month over the warranty.
Wipers stop in the middle of the window and driver can't see
Chevy cruze battery cable recall - sb-10057574-8899 "on certain 2011'2015 model year chevrolet cruze vehicles, the negative battery cable terminal clamp may have an insufficient crimp at the battery negative terminal. over time, the internal resistance increases and vehicle electrical systems do not receive adequate power. with this condition, the following effects are possible: the radio/hvac display may turn off and on; the antilock brake system, service traction system, service stabilitrac and steering vehicle messages may come on and off; the turn signal sound may not be heard; 'battery saver active' and 'service steering' may display in the driver information center (dic); and the interior and exterior lighting may flicker. power steering assist may also be lost, and greater effort may be needed to turn the steering wheel at low speeds or while the vehicle is stopped.
I am having the issue of the negative battery cable. special coverage 14311 was not added to my car to get this repair fixed! while driving the my link constantly reboots, stability track pops up on the dash, hvac shuts off too
Negative battery cable issue - my radio is cutting in and out, turn signals will not always work, "service stabilitrak" light will intermittently flash.
The blind spot detection system has experienced 2 failures within 45,000 miles and less than 3 years. it appears the radar sensors located in the rear bumper facia are prone to water penetration and damage. the defect manifests itself with dic reporting an issues with the system. when further symptoms appear they can blank the entire instrument cluster and radio as the can comm bus is likely shorted. there is no way to know speed, fuel and other information. there is no turn signal feedback and constant flickering of fault information from the cluster. the first repair was > $100 dollars as the dealer seemed aware of this issue. the fault can occur at any time during the drive cycle.
I bought a 2015 chevrolet cruze on november 13, 2105. i have had numerous electrical issues starting about one month after the purchase. i have been to four dealerships to have it repaired, and it comes back with no issues for about two to four weeks and the nightmares start over again. the newest issue is a safety matter. my car decided to keep my locked inside the car. after many attempts to open the driver door it finally opened. (in my own driveway) last week i was sitting sideways. in the drivers seat, with the driver door open and my feet were on the ground. i was postioned as such for about five mins. all of a sudden i heard the sound of the doors locking, then five swishing noises followed by a double lock sound, in which all four lock buttons went down. (parking lot at work) the next day person was in the front passenger side, with car shut off, and she heard a muted lock sound, then a brief humming noise, then the car made the double locking sound but none of the buttons went down. (at a gas station) all three incidents occured while the keys were in my hand, and ignition off. this is a safety issue, for the passengers of this vehicle. as for all the doors staying locked while inside, i'm so glad it was only 84 degrees, and that i finally was able to get out of the car. i have reopened my case with lemon law as this is one of the many things that occur with this vehicle.
While driving my 2015 chevrolet cruze lt the radio shut off, lights flickered, service engine light came on, and other warning lights temporarily flickered on and off for a few seconds before returning back to normal. this happens multiple times daily often involving the power steering. while turning the vehicle, the radio will shut off, lights will flicker, and power steering will completely shut off causing the steering wheel to jerk while in the turning processes. the car has trouble starting often and sometimes will not start. the battery has been tested and is fine as well as the alternator. sometimes the radio will shut off and not come back on until the next day even after restarting the vehicle. the largest and most dangerous issue i have had with my vehicle is the steering wheel locking up while turning. the vehicle wouldn't start on one occasion or even attempt to start and the key was locked in the ignition for about 30 minutes before finally the lights all came back on in the car and it started back.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet cruze. while pulling into the driveway, strong fumes emitted inside the vehicle and within the air vents. the contact turned off the air conditioner and the engine overheating warning indicator illuminated, and smoke entered the vehicle. the contact was able to turn off the vehicle and she and a child passenger exited the vehicle. the dealer (gordon chevrolet, 6301 e roosevelt blvd, philadelphia, pa 19149, (215) 537-2377) was notified of the failure and asked the contact to have roadside assistance tow the vehicle to them for diagnostic tesint. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 18,148.
Bought used (12,700 miles, gm certified) on saturday. car started by itself when parked, without key in the ignition, on tuesday. no automatic starter installed.
Instrument cluster flickers. then radio goes out. warnings for stablitrack, cruise control and antilock brakes. gauges go down. power steering goes out and car jerks suddenly. occurs repeatedly when the car has been operating about an hour with highway speeds around 65mph.
Alarm goes off randomly says the back driver door is open when it's not. also chimes constantly when trying to put back window down. i've take it to places and they say it's gonna be 300 dollars. i feel i shouldn't have to pay for an issue that happened randomly and is happening to more than just my vehicle.
The car turn off on it self when im driving, it all ready happen 5 times on a row, i took the vehicle to mission chevrolet at el paso tx, where i buy the car at but the guys from service can't find what its wrong with the car, i already talk with the supervisor from service department and a guy from gm so we can take it to the next level. i already took the car to get fix 8 times and they can't find the problem.
While driving & in stopped position at light the radio will intermittently turn off & back on at any given moment. i just purchased the vehicle not even 1 1/2 mos. ago. this has been happening approximately once or twice every week for about 4 weeks now.i have tried to look for some solution to this & have researched but there had been vague information or no answer at all . i have noticed that it has been an ongoing situation that had been indicated in here but has there's been any resolution to the matter? i don't think i should have to be concerned with this whole either driving or at a stop light that the electrical system will go out, if any at all. i hope some kind of resolution or recall will be done for this, too me, a major problem.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet cruze. the contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power without warning. the vehicle was towed to the dealer, but the diagnosis was not specified. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 31,500.
Car is in for service for 3rd time -- intermittent electrical problem causing loss of transmission (i.e. revs then drops in and out of gear); driver display warnings include service stabilitrak, service power steering, service transmission. power door locks also operate on their own. instrument cluster gauges will drop towards their off position, then resume normal position during these events. if the car is shut off, sometimes a "no start" condition will occur when the key is turned to the start position, gauges will operate normal even with no start condition. after rapidly cycling the key off/on/start position for sometimes up to 30 times, car has always eventually started. sometimes condition has cleared, other times transmission is stuck in a gear (3rd for previous dealership visit, 4th for current visit) but not in a limp home mode as full engine power is available. manual shifting is not permitted, "shift denied" appearing on the driver display. very concerned about safety as dealership cannot guarantee that transmission will not drop into lower gear at highway speeds. if the transmission were to suddenly drop into 3rd at 75 mph with no application of the brakes, the car behind me may not be able to react to the sudden drop in my vehicle's speed. condition has happened when vehicle and components are hot, such as after highway/city driving for 2 hours.
On the same day, within a few hours of each occurrence, first i had the keys in ignition and vehicle running, and shut the door and all four doors locked. then a few hours later, i tried to put the vehicle in to drive and it would only rev up and would not go forward. when this happened, the d for drive on dash was flashing. reverse worked fine. in both instances the car was stationary. when the car was locked, we used the spare key to manually open the door. in the second instance, i had the car towed to a dealer. having trouble uploading the service receipt, but they found nothing wrong.
The dashboard lights flash along with the radio/navigation screen and sound system while driving. this happens while the vehicle is in motion and has begun happening more frequently now. also, sometimes the key control does not work for the car even though the key battery is up to date.
Tl* the contact rented a 2015 chevrolet cruze. while driving at approximately 65 mph, the cruise control shut off without warning when passing a prompted wireless hot spot zone. the failure recurred intermittently. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the rental agency was notified of the failure. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 11,950. the vin was not available.
When i run my heat from day one of getting the car the radio shuts off and the screen will go black and shut off and turn back on with no screen ,the voice calling when the radio gets hot shuts off or the radio will be stuck on the last note that was said on the radio will play loud for minutes at a time ,if you touch the radio with your hand it will burn your hand ,this is all while driving the only way to stop the radio from doing these things is to wait it out i hope for a recall soon a brand new car shouldn't have issues like this.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet cruze. while driving approximately 3 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the failure recurred on two other occasions. also, on another occasion, the brake pedal failed to stop the vehicle. the contact placed the vehicle into reverse and the brake pedal responded. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the failure was unable to be duplicated. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 190.
