For some reason when i drive my car it starts shaking sometimes it happens when i start driving or when i brake i tried to find the problem and it looks that it is the drive shaft. i though that it is something that only happened to me but i found out that there are more cars involved in that but my chevy cruze 2013 looks like it is not not one of those. what can i do about it ?

While making right turn in city, car jerked, almost lost control and "service power steering" light came on, then car recovered and was driven home

Vehicle shuts off while driving losing complete power and steering! so dangerous and deadly! taking the car in today, car also riding rough and misfiring. all maintenance done every 3,000 miles. this car has had one problem after another and this last one could have killed my teenager daughter! it stopped on her 5 times on the freeway!

I was making a left turn and the steering wheel locked and the radio turned off, i barely made it before getting hit. the steering wheel unlocked and i turned into the first place i could. i turned the car off and tried to start it but the brake was locked and nothing was turning on when i pushed the button. tried a few times and nothing. while sitting there for about 5 minutes the whole dash came on and i was able to start the car. the radio had been turning on and off a few times on this drive before this happened. but the radio has been doing this for some time .

Steering randomly completely locked in motion. seemingly random electrical problem remedied on its own and required service technician to check it out to asses safety. cant be sure of the safety of my vehicle now.

Car wouldn't start. got a "service steering column lock" on the dash. was able to start the car after a period of time. but engine start and stop still sounds bad.

The car would become hard to steer and control. abs and traction control in stability control warning lights flashing. this happens without warning can happen at any speed highway ore city. the times this has occurred was on the highway. (this is a tsb i later found but the could easily caused a crash on accident)

Car shuts off completely.after 10 minutes will restart.steering locks up while drivng.stabli control comes on.loss of almost al l power.happen in driveway.while driving turning .loss of power so that car wont move.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chevrolet cruze. while driving approximately 20 mph, the stability control system warning indicator started to flash and the power steering ability did not respond. the contact regained control after approximately five seconds. the contact stated that the failure occurred approximately ten other times. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. the manufacturer was notified. the approximate failure mileage was 79,158.

Power steering went out while making a turn in a parking lot and both power steering light, and stabili trak light came on. i could barely control the steering wheel. later that day car was back to normal.

The dealer says that the right cv joint is leaking. also my steering wheel has a small catch in it when we are driving, wondering if these are related?

I was driving home from the store and the "service power steering" light came on and i lost power steering. the stabilitrak light was also on. it was very difficult to steer the car home. i took the car to the dealer and they tell me they can't find anything wrong with the car. they are going to keep it another day to see if they can make the code come up, but if it doesn't then i get to drive a car that can crash because of power steering failure. this is extremely dangerous to have the steering go out while driving. gm needs to find out why this is happening and fix it.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chevrolet cruze. the contact stated that when attempting to drive, the vehicle had a steering (steering wheel with a ranch) and the traction warning lights illuminated. the steering wheel was loose and failed to turn appropriately when desired. the contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who was unable to identify the cause of the failure. the contact then contacted the healey gm dealer where it was informed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 51,000.

My chevy cruze stability track control system malfunctions and my car loses power and i lose steering control and must pull over on the freeway. it has happened 5 times. plus my stereo goes out. my chevy dealer said it is not covered because my warranty has expired. must pay over $400 to repair the faulty indicator. this is a huge safety problem because it can happen when i am on the freeway going 65 mph and my car decelerates down to 40 mph and i could crash? it has happened twice on the freeway and three times on the city street.

While driving, power steering locked up, car turned off and then back on. the radio turned off and then back on and close driver window lit up. this has happened on 4 different occasions now. steering locked up while on i-95. radio on and off while turning onto highway and window message while car was stationary.

While driving to work on the highway my radio will turn off and on multiple times and my stability control will turn off and it will be hard to turn the vehical. a warning comes on the information screen saying check stability control and also check power steering. it has happened multiple times it have happened today as well as i was driving on the feeder

While driving on the highway steering locked up. two day after power steering light and stabilltrak lights were on

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chevrolet cruze. while driving 60 mph, the steering wheel seized and the power steering and service stabilitrac warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 55,000.

Roughly 6 weeks after purchasing this vehicle, i started having incidents where the radio would cut out for 2-3 seconds and the infotainment screen would go blank. at the same time, the "service stabilitrak" message momentarily appears on the instrument panel. there isn't a trend to when this happens. sometimes it won't happen for a week, other times it will happen multiple times in a single drive. last week, this happened and i also lost power steering and could not steer for what felt like a couple seconds. based on the chevrolet cruze customer forum, this is a fairly common problem and other's have also lost power steering pulling out of a parking lot. there is not a recall for my specific vehicle or a permanent corrective action that i've found. it has become a safety concern and gm should take responsibility and recall the affected vehicles before power steering is lost at higher speeds.

While driving the vehicle power stability flashes the electrical system resets and if driving you lose control of the vehicle.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chevrolet cruze. the contact stated that the stability control warning indicator flashed, the radio shorted, and various warning indicators flashed. the steering wheel seized each time the failures occurred. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to replicate and diagnose the failures. the manufacturer was notified. the approximate failure mileage was 25,000.

Lately i've been noticing the touch screen radio to flicker and completely lose power. i figure it was just a glitch with the all the technology that this car has. well, the service antitheft deterrent system continues to come on, but goes away. car is fine. last saturday my car wouldn't start until the 3rd try. the car completely shut off, absolutely no power, key wouldn't come out of the ignition. after 15 minutes it started, the radio flicker. on my way to work, the radio kept cutting out then as i was slowing down to turn, my steering and brakes gave out, nearly causing a huge collision! this seems to be a very common thing with the 2013 cruze lt. chevy needs to do something! i do not feel safe in this car anymore! no one seems to know the problem? it's life or death here, i travel a lot for work and get on busy highways. how many injuries or deaths do you need to correct this major problem?

I was turning when the information center went blank and the service power steering light came on. it became very difficult to steer the car. i pulled over, turned the car off, looked unset the hood. when i restarted it was fine. sporadically over the past several months the info center would blip out and the service stabilitrak light would come on. the dealer could never replicate the issue. it never involved the steering until now.

2013 chevrolet cruze electrical hazard which happens mostly during the rain or wet roads occasionally while dry. main problem radio power and dash power cut in and out and or fluctuate while driving and or applying brakes. the electronic power steering will, most of the time, cut in and out also while turning turning key off and on again while stationary may for a short time fix this problem however it is not a perm any soulution only temporary and my also result in a total no power/ no start condition for the vehical possible cause is leak in the car or shield is not properly protection electronics/wiring on the vehical

Steering locked up while driving down road. causing an accident. while driving at about 35mph. steering wheel locked up on me and i could not turn at a curve causing me to slam on brakes and slid off of a dirt road into a ditch and tree lined area. do have police report as well.

The computer system goes on and off at random, which causes malfunctions in other areas, particularly the power steering and security system. my power steering has gone out multiples times, causing near accidents. the security system also locked up due to the computer, and it took 15 minutes to get it started in the arizona heat. the power steering issue is incredibly dangerous.

I had an issue starting the car a week after purchasing it in february. random warning lights would turn on and off. i read through the owners manual and it said it may be a security issue if the key isn't clean. i cleaned the key it seemed to have fixed the problem but after a few months it came back briefly and i'd clean the key and it would be fine. on the morning of july 30th the car grinded the gears and then had trouble starting as if the battery were dead. the key was clean. after a couple tries it started. later that day the power steering alert came on and the engine bogged down and i lost control of the vehicle for a brief moment. the light went back off and it worked fine for the rest of the day. the next day after running fine all day while on an exit ramp of a highway multiple alerts began going off and all the warning lights came on and a moment later the car stalled. it would not even crank to restart. the rear caution lights would not work unless the key was turned. the radio and dash work and light up but the power windows wouldn't operate.

For about 5 miles the warning for power steering was on i would like to report this as others are asking for a recall on this at the time i did not have a problem driving but i am concerned if this happens again the traction light was on at the same time

My daughters chevy cruise power steering light came on and it became difficult for it to steer. she turned it off and it worked fine. she made appointment at day chevrolet in monroeville and they could not find a problem. also, they said that they had never heard of such a problem. after she left it happened again. we googled the problem and found it has happened a lot of times what should we do? i don't want my daughter in an accident and injured or killedto

On june 28, 2014, i brought my chevy cruze to the dealership for a safety recall inspection (n140079) to inspect the front axle right half shaft. i was told my vehicle did not have a faulty axle and no further action was required. then on october 20, 2014, as i was exiting a highway off ramp and merging on to a main road (at approximately 10 mph) the vehicle stopped moving forward. the car was towed to the same dealership that performed the safety inspection on june 28th. the dealership stated the cv axle was broken and the sway bar link was broken in half. the dealership admitted that this was the same part that was inspected and involved in the recall. the dealership stated that the technician who inspected the axle on june 28th made a mistake. the dealership apologized and assured me that they would call in all other applicable customers to have their axles re-inspected. *tr

I was on my way home from work yesterday and when i went to make a right turn, the screen went out again....which is fine. we can all live without audio and a fancy screen in our cars, but as soon as the screen went out the power steering and stabilitrak lights both came on and my power steering completely went out in my car while i was turning. i almost hit a concrete wall and the cars that were waiting for their turn to go in the oncoming traffic lanes. it was bad enough that i had that issue but of course, there's more. we live on an army base - fort sill, in oklahoma - we have to stop at the gate to get on base and show our ids to get home. i stopped at the gate and talked with the guard for a minute, showed my id and went on with my business.. i started to drive away and my car went crazy again. i lost all power steering again and all of my lights flickered on and off for three minutes, inside lights and outside too. the car started jerking like it was trying to cut off, it finally stopped and i made it home but i refuse to drive this car again. *tr

Now just purchased the 2013 chevy cruze second day everything shut down on me took it back and asked for a replacement car because something was wrong with that on explained and video tape it all but they sutton ford told me the car was just updating and its normal. i plead with them and they said no. a week later it kept shutting off i took it back again samething 3 weeks all electrical shut off while drivin on expressway car shut down while driving could have been killed took car back 10/8 they said to bring it back on monday which it caused it to be passed 30 day no replacement car and now warranty expired they want me to pay .they has the car now just purchased 9/10. lights come on brakelight service stabilititrak comes on the car shuts down while driving do not want this car life threatening for me and kids. also having problems with steering took it back second day of purchased claimed they fixed it but happening again. *tr

I bought my 2013 cruze ltz about three months ago and i was sure that it was the perfect car, now, i'm fully aware that i was wrong.. i got in my car to leave for work on august 1, 2014 and when i started my car, the on dash maintenance reminders all went crazy telling me to "service power steering" and "service stabilitrak".. i knew this couldn't be right so i turned off the engine and restarted the car, the screen went crazy again with the service notifications. i didn't have time to have it checked out before work so i went ahead with my day, i got all the way to the interstate (which is about a mile and a half from my driveway) and noticed the steering was getting stiff so i pulled over and restarted the car again and the lights didn't come back on so i, again, went on about my day... issue number two-- about three days later, and every day since, my on dash touch screen goes completely black, which wouldn't bother me so bad if it didn't make all of the "service" lights come back on. i don't "need" a touch screen but it would be really nice if i didn't feel like i was driving a ticking time bomb every day since the vehicle clearly has wiring issues. now, if i touch the brakes or roll down a window, the screen goes completely black, the dash lighting flickers and the service lights come on. i've been searching forums for almost a month and it seems that numerous people are having these issues, not only myself. i'm so disappointed with my purchase, its almost unreal.. the perfect car, in the perfect color with more recalls (and other issues that haven't been recalled) than i even know how to deal with it. never again will i buy a chevrolet vehicle. it is out of control to not be able to feel safe in a vehicle that you've worked extremely hard to get. *tr

Over 30 days ago i received a recall notice for my car. the car was taken to the chevy garage to be fixed but the parts were not available. i drove this car for 30 days with a bad axle and the garage knew this. i was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection and when the light turned green i proceeded to go but my car only drifted through the intersection. it sounded like the entire front end fell out from under the car. i had my 6 month old granddaughter with me while i was going to pick up my 6 year old granddaughter from school. we sat right in the middle of the intersection while people drove by swearing and signing to me until 3 kind gentlemen pushed me out of the way. the chevy garage came and picked me and my car up but they have had my car for 3 weeks now because parts are unavailable and they don't know when they will receive them. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chevrolet cruz. the contact stated that while driving various speeds and making a turn, the vehicle would suddenly shut off for approximately 3 seconds before restarting. the contact also indicated that in a separate incident the power steering malfunctioned making the steering wheel very difficult to turn. the failure was not diagnosed nor was the vehicle repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 40,000. rk

The driver was traveling on a two lane highway in baldwin county, alabama, when she approached a right hand curve (which the driver was fully aware of). driver applied brakes so as to slow down to negotiate this curve, but when the driver applied the brakes, they did not respond. additionally, the vehicle appeared to lose power steering function. it appeared that the vehicle lost power, similar in nature to the most recent ignition defects on other gm vehicles. due to loss of braking ability, the vehicle went straight off roadway and crashed causing significant personal injury to the driver. further, the airbag did not deploy. we contacted gm, and agreed to allow gm representatives investigate the incident by downloading the esis information, with the agreement that gm would provide the owner with the results of said investigation in a readily understandable format. after downloading the information, gm denied any liability for the incident, and refused to provide the owner with the results of its investigation in a format that was readily understandable. the vehicle was recently purchased new, and had no prior issues. *tr

Intermittent electrical problem. power steering shut off during turn. lack of power steering lasted approximately 30 seconds. *tr

There are times when the car will shut off while i am driving. the radio goes off and on, and the warning of check stability trac, i have video of this happening. i have taken it in many times and have been told that they cannot do anything about it because they can replicate what i am speaking about. this has happened on many occasions. *tr

Intermittent electrical problem. power steering shut off on interstate. lack of power steering lasted about 30 seconds. *tr

I rented a chevy cruz from avis for a vacation trip. i noticed at highway speeds the car pulled to the left and as i applied pressure to correct for the drift the steering wheel would release suddenly and the car would track normally for a short time they repeat. only at speeds greater than 60 mph did i notice the problem. i was called by avis telling me the car was being recalled but the recall didn't demand an immediate return. *js

While accelerating from a full stop, felt the vehicle lose power and heard loud noises coming from under the car. came to a full stop in the middle of a busy road. turned off the car. turned it back on and attempted to move the car to no avail. put the car in park and the car started to roll backwards. car had to get towed. chevy dealership states the front right axle snapped. in process of being replaced. *tr
