The transmission of the car is not working properly. it jumps every time i press the gas pedal and jumps when the car is on the road.

Takata recall. recently while driving, my car will randomly say service stabilitrak or service traction control whenever i turn the wheel backing up but wasn't affecting the car in any way as far as i could tell. my headlights would also flicker at the same time so i figured it had to be something electrical. yesterday while turning onto a different street and today while driving straight down a street i lost power steering.

Vehicle has a very rough idle while stopped and while driving. when driving the vehicle will change roughly idle and speed up the vehicle. while in a stopping position the vehicle will roughly idle and the rpm indicator will bounce up and down. the engine light is on and the traction control warning and service esp warnings come on intermittently while in stopped position and then the vehicle will not accelerate properly. the most recent one revved and accelerated on its own, almost hitting the car at the stoplight in front of me.

Engine power reduced light comes on, car idles rough, like it is going to shut off. when initially taking off car putts like it is not getting gas. car acts like it will stall while driving and during idling. stability service traction light comes on periodically and engine rmps increase. had car looked at in case it was o2 sensor, but was told by mechanic there is an electrical issue. issue has been occurring since may 2018. there are 126k miles on the car. car has been well maintained. i drive 45 minutes to work, 5 days a week. i have young children that i transport in the vehicle. car feels unsafe.

While on the highway and on the street multiple times this vehicle has shut down reducing engine power with service traction control sensor appear on the dash board. the car engine begins to make noises and slow abruptly. i have pulled over turn the car off then on and it stop. then randomly it will happen again the sensor has disappeared completely and work perfectly fine then this will once agin happen. my car is under 100,000 miles and chevy customer services tells me it is not covered under any warrenty
In the last 4 months my tracking control, stability traction control, and reduce engine power light stays on. i have had knock censor replaced, value covers but nothing has worked. my car constantly cuts off in in the middle of traffic and three times on the freeway at 65 miles. the car is very unsafe and yet there are no recalls on my car.

Bought this car used with 51k miles a month ago. drove great the first week, after that loses powerupon acceleration and is slow to get up to speed. while driving just now, the car was losing power so i decided to hit the gas harder and instead of going faster the the stability track light came on. i am starting to wonder if i made a bad decision purchasing this car. it had trouble going up hill on the highway last wk. this car is too compact to have speed issues.

Had car 6 months and transmission was slipping and not shifting properly had no power really it would go but had lots of delay and would jerk when it would finally go into gear. i took it to shop had to get transmission rebuilt well 3000 dollars later and them saying it was good to go but would shift funny while relearning gears well i drove it 38 miles and it was just like it was when i took in i thought at first it might be learning gears but after 50 miles over 2 days i felt like it wasn't right took it back to shop and now they are saying it is tcm and it will be anther 900 to fix i bought this car from a individual has no warranty now i'm out all this extra money. worst car i've ever had. my dream car has turned into my real life nightmare. i will never buy anther gm/ chevy vehicle. gm/chevy won't do anything to help remedy problems known problems to them. oh and then shop says water pump is going out so on website it shows it has special coverage under recalls i guess but i have to pay to get it diagnosed and now i'm scared to even put more money into it as i'm not sure any of this will actually fix the car i've read horror story after horror story of stories just like my mine. and yet gm/ chevy does nothing and is still able to sell these lemon cars to people. i mean how many complaints and safety issues does this company have to get before they will do something. i can't believe i'm out over 12000 dollars for a car with maint free transmission with 94000 miles. i now have a 13000 dollar piece of junk that i beginning to believe that can not be fixed
This vehicle safety complaint is in regards to my 2011 chevrolet cruze lt, which was serviced at ourisman chevrolet of bowie, a general motors (gm) authorized dealer, for the repair of my vehicle. i incurred charges for unwarranted maintenance repairs on the following dates september 26-october 5, 2016 ($134.95 and $139.07 (cost for a new battery)), april 26, 2016 (warranty covered repairs), april 11, 2016 ($590.92), and april 14, 2015 ($382.14) that never addressed the safety complaints i made, all of which were handled by service advisor buddy reio. on these dates, i took my vehicle to be serviced for experiencing hazardous issues with its electrical systems and reduced engine acceleration while i was driving between 40-55 miles per hour. without warning, my vehicle's speed would decelerate (both on the highway and residential roads) and my car doors would begin to lock and unlock uncontrollably with error messages 'service stabilitrac,' 'service parking assist,' and 'service airbag' displaying on my dashboard. after about 30 seconds of this condition, my car would resume normal functioning. i incurred $1,247.08 in unwarranted repairs for my vehicle, which was never properly diagnosed, leading to my vehicle shutting down while i was driving it on october 22, 2016. on october 22, 2016 at 3:20 p.m., while driving on a busy thoroughfare, my car decelerated and error messages displaying 'service stabilitrac,' 'service parking assist,' and 'service airbag' showed. after approximately 30 seconds, the car began to shut down and i managed to steer it out of the way of oncoming traffic. i immediately contacted chevrolet's roadside service and informed the representatives that my engine would not start and i was stuck on the side of the road.

Loss of power steering during driving, radio flickers on and off while driving, while pressing brake while stopped the car continues to jump forward - city driving on highway and streets. began happening one month after i purchased car on 4/3/2016.
The radio/hvac display turns off and on; the antilock brake system, service traction system, service stabilitrac and steering vehicle messages comes on and off; the turn signal sound may not be heard; 'battery saver active' and 'service steering' displays in the driver information center (dic); and the interior and exterior lighting may flicker. power steering assist is also lost, and greater effort may be needed to turn the steering wheel at low speeds or while the vehicle is stopped. this only happens in the summer. doing speeds of 65mph. the car loses power and then the dash board and radion flickers on and off. the cars sometimes shuts off and i will have to put my hazards marker on the let the car pull over to the side of the road. and im not able to take the key out the ignition. the key will get stuck and about 3 minutes later i trying again and the key will come out. i try to start it up again and the car will start up. the steering will lock up while im trying to turn or is turning the it will go back to regular state. it only does this in the summer or when the car gets hot. so i took i to the dealership and they said it was my negative battery cable. this is unsafe. this has been going on for almost a 1 year it starts and stops when it wants too. also when im stopped or sitting at a stop light the matters are even worser

In addition to two complaints filed about this vehicle already. the u.s has no concern for human life in the u.s and is allowing white supremacy to endanger minority drivers and other drivers. the testing of satellite radiological dispersal weapons and remote control systems involving, hacking, backdoor access, remote control, surveillance and vehicle compromise persists. on 12/10/15 and 12/09/15 the vehicle was halted by force from a satellite tracking the vehicle. ample evidence of electrical problems in the car, cellphone tracking and home tracking is available. a federal lawsuit was filed and dismissed without reason of cause to further the hate crime. on these two days i was driving the vehicle one again, and lost control over the vehicle steering and throttle. the issue occurs at stop signs to cause an accident there or at a intersection. the vehicle is purposely tampered with during transit to cause loss of control and throttle. the vehicle throttle is gone, the gas peddle goes limp and the engine stops throttle for a duration. the engine then kicks in full force after a series of hard sputters on throttle jerking the car forward up a hill or into to a stop. i was in highland ny leaving a plaza, where this occurs, and other intersections with lights
Stability trac and traction control light appears, vehicle experiences immediate loss of power. experienced while driving on freeway attempting to change lanes. due to the sudden loss of power i was nearly struck by a big rig. dealer can not identify codes only code that appeared was po171,fuel trim lean code was addressed by dealer, dealer claims original complaint was tied to the p0171 code. while driving home experienced sudden loss of power and rough shifting. no warning lights or indicators appeared. vehicle smells like burnt oil, and noticed a loud ticking noise. notified dealer and was told it is normal vehicle will be fine after 400 miles of driving. my families life will be placed in jeapordy for the next 400 miles. the unresponsive acceleration and sudden loss of power is a serious safety issue.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 chevrolet cruze. while driving approximately 55 mph, the engine overheated. the vehicle was towed to hardy chevrolet (2026 macland rd, dallas, ga 30157) where it was diagnosed that the reservoir and hose needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. months later, while driving, the stabilitrak warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to steve rayman chevrolet (2155 cobb pkwy se, smyrna, ga 30080) and repaired. while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was towed back to steve rayman chevrolet where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired due to cost; however, the vehicle was taken to an unknown independent mechanic for repairs. a year later, the vehicle was overheating again from the engine and an abnormal odor was coming from the air vent. in addition, there was white smoke coming from the tail pipe. the vehicle was taken back to hardy chevrolet where it was diagnosed that a new motor was needed. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 170,000.
Have had repeated issues with service stabilitrak light coming on while driving and then power being reduced to vehicle, causing unsafe driving conditions; following recall to reprogram computer engine fan ran continually for days; car died when startong, dealer replaced computer tried to return with check engine light on, now stabilitrak issue has recurred again. not confident that dealership has any clue what is really wrong with this car. the dealership's most recent guess is that something is wrong with the transmission but that they are getting a code they don't recognize.
My check engine light will not clear no matter how much work i have done to my car. it's had roughly 5 grand worth of repairs and it's still shaking when it idled or jumps forward when i accelerate after a red light or stop sign
I frightened and almost hit a pedestrian while at a complete stop during a red light because the vehicle jerked back and forth. the vehicle felt as if it was on hydraulics. moments later the engine light went on and the description of service stabiltrak displayed on the dashboard. once the light was green and i proceeded, engine light went off and service control also went away. it would only jerk back and forth once at a complete stop. my vehicle is definitely a hazard and not safe to drive.
While driving the radio shuts off and a warning pops up in the center between the speedometer and rpm gauge that says service stabiltrac or service traction control. while that happens the power steering shuts off. that's a normal occurrence that happens randomly once or twice during my 20 mile drive to work, and on short drives for errands. today the vehicle completely shut off twice while driving down the road. i almost wrecked 3 times going around corners when the power steering shut off along with the radio.

Upon starting my vehicle both the stabilitrak and traction lights were on, turned the vehicle off and then back on. lights remained on, first repair place said stabilitrak sensor, second said it was the wheel bearing. because of the differences in opinion i took it to a chevy dealer who then told me the wires had gone bad and needed to be replaced at the cost of $300. i continue to have electronic issues with this vehicle after replacing the bcm twice. something needs to be done. *tr
Takata recall problem is unknown: 1. my vehicle continues to have problems with heating/cooling system. the vehicle looses antifreeze, the casing gets hot and acts as tho its overheating triggering the fan to come on and stay on. there are no noticeable leaks; it has been at he chevy dealer and several other mechanics who can find no radiator leaks. the engine coil, hoses, and heating coil have been changed and it continues to get hot. the vehicle is running when these issues occur. 2. the tracking system lights stays on constantly. no record of a problem by chevrolet service center or any other service center who has used diagnostics to determine why the light stays on. 3. service engine light stays on constantly. the engine coil has been replaced; no other engine problems are identified with diagnostics.

Intermittent service traction control and stabilitrak while at a stop when attempting to drive after the service light came on the vehicle lacked power and high temp fan turn on. the only way to get the car out of the service lock was to turn the ignition off and turn it back on. i took the car to a dealer where they were unable to duplicate the issue. this issue has been covered under a recall on other chevy vehicles such as the equinox.
While driving my car home from work at the end of january, i felt it suddenly slow down on its own. i had a message on my display to service stabilitrak and engine power reduced. i had no power to the car and had to pull off the road. i turned my car off for a couple of minutes and then back on, it started and ran fine the rest of the way home. then again today, feb. 24th, 2015, while driving to work, it did the exact same thing. i had to move over to the side of the road in early morning traffic (not an easy thing to do!), and turn my car off. i waited for a couple of minutes, started it and drove the rest of the way into work without problems. after reading the many complaints of the exact same situations, i would think it's time for a recall before someone gets hurt due to the sudden reduction of power!! *js
The first occurrence happened on jan. 20th 2015 on my way to work, twice. i noticed because the radio turned off and the service esp flashed with the traction light coming on with multiple other lights flashing. all of this including the radio flashed/turned off and on for about 2 minutes. over the next week this happened 5 or 6 times. all of these happened while going between 30 and 40 mph and on trips between 30-45 minutes. i had about a week with none of this happening and then on feb. 8th i was driving home, 20 mins from start to finish and twice the engine power reduced came on and i could not drive any where. i was going about 35 mph. i was able to pull over and turn my car off and on both times and make it home. now my check engine light is on and i'm not sure if i can even drive my car or if it will die on me again. *tr
Three weeks ago, i started hearing a noise from the back left tire. two days ago the esp and traction light went on as well as the brake fluid light. everything just started hitting at the same time. i think the car is rigged to have everything go bad once the warranty period is up. would like to know if this is covered since so many people are having problems with it. i can't afford to fix it but this is my only means of transportation. *tr
Yes, i too had problems with my 2011 chevy cruze. i was very glad that nothing happened to me while i was driving the car, i was just sitting at an idle stage; when i had all the bells going off and it had told me that engine reduced power. i to had to go and get this fixed and again like everyone else it was the throttle body and fuel injection system; cost $460. not even a month later now i have no heat in the car and reading all the forums sounds like i am going to have to replace a water pump; joy for me. at first i really did love this car, but i find that the after the warranty goes seems like the car is falling apart. we should not be having these issues this early in the car's life. i also find it very bad poor customer service on gm's part that they are turning a blind eye to this. these parts need to be recalled asap, why is no one doing anything about this? *tr
Leaving a parking lot the instrument panel began to blink on and off every check engine light started to come on and off. power steering was lost for a short period. still in the parking lot at a stop sign turn the engine off. the car was completely dead, no lights no clicking noise when you attempt to re start. opened hood checked the new battery wiggled the cables interior lights came on and car started up. since then it has happened numerous times each event getting worse. eventually it died and was towed to the dealership and is being looked at. this seems to be common with chevrolet cruze.
The electronic stability control lights keep flashing on and off while driving. i will be driving my car then the light warning light will flash, and all lights in the dashboard will blink on and off. the blinker noise will turn off then on again. however, the elec. stability control light does not stay on permanently. it's like my car does it when it feels like it. i have to turn my car off for a few min and start it again to get it back to normal. this happens at any location and speed. yesterday 11/27/14 this occurred and steering became difficult. i have taken my cruze in before regarding this and was told it could not be duplicated, therefore there was no problem. i do not want to be driving my car in fear of safety. i have made another appt at another dealership and was already told they would have the car all day and do not provide any type of courtesy car...that i would have to rent a car. this service also "may or may not be covered under warranty" because my cruze is from 2011 and currently have over 50k miles on it. i love my cruze, but the service regarding this issue is terrible and needs to be addressed. vehicle safety is on the line. *tr
