My power steering is having issues and i am unable to turn my wheel at times the speedometer and rbm goes back and forth and the whole car shifts when i drive.

As i backed out of my garage, it became apparent that i had lost my power steering. i could barely move the steering wheel to keep my car from hitting the side of the garage as i backed out.

We were parking and suddenly the steering wheel got really hard to operate, really concerned this issue can happens while driving on the highway

There's a strong rattle noise below the cars which comes from a plastic gasket located on the intermediate steering column, this is very annoying and denotes ppor manufacturer quality. it happens every time you pass over a minor obstacle.

Steering column rattles.

When starting to drive & driving car and making turns on city streets or highway, the power steering sticks and makes it hard to turn - sometimes having to use both hands to control the turn. the sticking is not normal and should not be happening.

The key will not turn off - it is stuck in either the "accessory" or "on" position. the vehicle is stationary but cannot be moved to be fixed.

My son and i went to a local fast food restaurant to pick up dinner, when we got back in the car it was difficult to steer and the power steering light came on. when it was restarted the next day it seems to be fine.

Ecm problem. lost steering and all dashboard information. vechile does not start.dealer tells me it is a bad ecm and it is $841.00 to repair it. including a $250.00 chargere to diagnose the problem than i find out there was a huge recall on these ecms but for some reason mine was not included. gm should make good on this and replavce it at no charge since they know they have had huge issuyes with this

My daughter was driving on the highway in los angeles when her power steering locked up. she barely made it over to safety. it could have been a catastrophe on the highway. it took all of her strength to try to move the wheel. she lost control over the car. when she tried to start the car up again, it seemed fine. she got off the highway and drove carefully. she would drive about 10 minutes at a time before it would lock up again. she had to drive through some really shady areas to get home since she couldn't drive on the highway. she took her car to a chevrolet dealer who said that there was no recall on the 2009 cobalts. there are on the 2010 for power steering. they charged her $139 just to diagnose what the problem is. she is waiting to see what is wrong. when she said that she had to have her car for work tomorrow, they were adamant that her car was too dangerous to drive because of the steering. this is such a dangerous hazard.
