Problems with 2000 Chevrolet Camaro EQUIPMENT

Purchased a 2000 chevy. camaro with only 50k miles two months ago. three weeks ago i was finding that it would not start right away when hot and my gas gauge is not working. if the car was left overnight, in the morning it would start fine. the cause is a bad fuel pump, it loses pressure when hot but here is the real problem. the pump and sending unit is in the gas tank and i have to replace it with a gm unit, after market would be stupid and as you read on you will understand why. the fuel pump is $795.00, the exhaust system and the rear axle/suspension needs to come off to take the tank out. this is 5 hours of work according to my mechanic. it is going to cost over $1,100.00 to change this pump. there is no sane reason why a fuel pump should fail with only 50k miles on the car the car has never been abused, fact is that the original owner only drove it once a month and he is 58 years old so he does not abuse a car. *tr

Drivers seat will unexpectedly move along seat tracks after being locked into position. dealerhsip has examined vehicle and could not reproduce the problem, while consumers son was driving at 10 mph on october 29, 2001, drivers seat slid forward, resulting in a crash due to loss of control. dealership has not examined vehicle after second incident.*ak consumer also stated ash trid separated from console.*slc

Transmission wasn't shifting into 1st and 2nd gears. engine would race up to 4,000rpms. vehicle couldn't be driven on highway. dealer found a foreign object clogging 2nd clutch.*ak consumer also states brakes have been repaired 3 times and they are still squeaking to this date ,the stereo and cd player were defective and had to be replaced, which the cd player is still not working. *jb
