Problems with 2000 Chevrolet Astro SUSPENSION

Have brought van in 4 times in 4 years about electrical problems. smelling wires burning. have gone through 6 batteries in 4 years. replaced alternator. radio/cd has been replaced. new cd stoped working after 1 week of being replaced. dealer refuses to replace again. radio, overhead digital temp & misc gages goes out, speedometor, battery, fuel, and odomoter quits, only the oil still works. abs breaking probems, pedel to floor, have ran intersections due to this. have had minor dings to bumper because it rolled to stops at low speeds. loud clunk in rear when stopped too. dealer refused to call it a lemon. refused to help fix because its a lease. also handle over passenger airbag disintegrated in 3rd year, and now the driver arm rest is split in 4th year. *ak

Tl*- the contact stated that 2000 chevrolet astro van had upper ball joint problems . the upper ball joints have been replaced twice. the contact stated that he felt this was a safety issue because the upper ball joints could separate, and the driver could lose control of the vehicle, causing a crash. the vehiclewas now at dealership for replacement ball joints at 130,000 miles. the first time this happen the ball joint was saved, and the contact was told that the ball joint was completely dry. the contact does has access to the last ball joints that were replaced. there were no crashes involving the ball joints, but felt this could cause a crash. *ak

Dt: problem with brakes and bearings last year the brakes starting pulsating and had to be replaced because of rusting and pitting. this year the bearings went out and had to be replaced. this vehicle has 34,000 original miles. *nm

The vehicle fish tailed, when a turn was made. *jb

Left front torsion bar failed. wife was driving 40mph on snow covered winding road when torsion bar failed. this caused tempoary loss of control. control was regained and no one was hurt. this is 2000 chevy astro awd. this should not happen. this happened 1-4-2003

Steering and braking problems because of a bent rear axle and frame a half inch different from one side to the other.*jb

My problems are as follows: fuel injection system, side door aligment problems, van rattles, dashboard noise. *ak
